    60% of Arsenal attack down the left, 30% in the middle and 10% on the right (according to khaz a poster on here).

    This is so stupid by Wenger when you consider liverpool had firming and an 18 yr old right footed rb/cb def as right side. It is a major flaw of his in my opinion that he doesn't set his yes up to take advantage of the oppositions weaknesses.

    He should have had Walcott or ox out their testing him (ox took him to town with one run down the outside when he came on) but what did he do? He plays Ramsey over there who probably spent maybe 30% of his time on the wing and the rest drifting inside narrowing the pitch and making it easier for Liverpool to defend.

    To me Wenger is making the classic mistake of trying to fit all his best players in his first 11 instead of biting the bullet and dropping some of his better players in order to have a better team. Cazorla, Ramsey and Ozil are class players but he has to stop trying to play them all in the same team.

      Ramsey played quite centrally and Bellerin mostly stayed back. It was weird how Arsenal never exploited the right flank so Gomez was never truly tested.

        Yep the only game where the lovren gomez pair has even been remotely tested was Bournemouth and even the had a left footed right winger cutting back josie which is perfect for gomez.

        First game stoke had Walters who is hardly a flying winger either.

        I was really hoping gomez would get tested as I am reluctant to bring him in until we see if he can hang le the premier league.

      Firmino and Gomez were on opposite sides, not to mention Lucas, Can and Milner to cover. But I do agree with your point.

      Couldn't understand it either, noticed when Chambo came on there was an instant impact down the right, they should have targeted young Gomez from the start

      5 blanks in their last 6 home games is crazy.

      They're not passing the ball quickly enough, they're too narrow, and teams can just sit back, force them out wide, and they have no answers at the moment.

        I agree fully ludo. Thus happened before Xmas last year too and they switched to 442 with Sanchez playing off giroud and started dominating games but once ozil came back they went back to 4231 which teams seem to be able to stifle too easily at the Emirates.
