The Dugout Discussion – Swansea vs Man United

Sunday’s tea-time kick-off pits two unbeaten sides together, as Swansea City welcome Manchester United to the Liberty Stadium. The Swans recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle United in their last home match-up but now face a United unit that’s yet to concede a goal this term.

Garry Monk’s new-look attack has carved through the opposition with consummate ease, placing second for attempts (56) and joint-first for big chances (eight) and shots on target (24). This forward impetus has been balanced by a rigidity at the back, as evidenced by the fact they’ve conceded the fewest shots inside the box (11) of any side.

As for the Red Devils, they’ve limited their opponents to just 22 shots and one big chance in three match-ups. Having kicked off the campaign with back-to-back 1-0 wins, they’ve done just enough on the attacking front, ranking in the bottom half for shots inside the box (19) and shots on target (11).

    Shaw 3rd on my bench but at least I will get further price rises out of him. Silver linings and all that, plus he is the best Man U def to have IMO.

    Which of these should I do to free funds to do Ayew to Pedro:

    A) Muniesa -> Targett
    B) Kompany -> Kolarov

    This week is the WC week for me. It's just so needed, I'm doing terribly somehow. Anyway here's my team, got some money in the bank for an upgrade but not sure which player to upgrade?
    Gomes, Myhill
    Ward, Martin, Shaw, Richards, Kolarov
    Silva, Payet, Chadli, Mahrez, Sako
    Wilson, Gomis, Aguero

    How would you make this team better for 3.3M? Replace Sako maybe?

      United should have a whole lineup that can be written with Sch-prefix:

      Schaw
      Schmalling
      Schmata
      Scherrera
      SchmcNair
      Schit

      ...and so on, I'm sure there's enough to accompany Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger.
