          just my opinion

          lovren and skirts work well together when they're both fully concentrating. put any distance between them or if either of the isn't 100% on it, the whole defence falls apart

        Agreed. The only ones here though that I brought in after doing well were mahrez, yaya, ayew and kolarov. Two of these did well. It's the guys like aguero, Sanchez and Walcott who have trolled the most with (c) calls and price etc.

    Narrowed Ivan replacement down to 4 (gonna aaume all have a man city defender)

    Luke Shaw
    pros: Man U have been very solid this season, he and Darmain have flown up and down the wings to put some juicy crosses in.
    cons: Injury prone and Man U's fixtures are very ropey in the short term

    Hector Bellerin
    pros: very attacking and Arsenal dont concede many these days
    cons: fixtures not great and champions league rotation could bite

    Martin Skrtl
    pros: good fixtures mostly, usually in the baps mix
    cons: Yellow card magnet

    Johnny Evans
    pros: superb fixtures, Tony Pulis
    cons: not played a game yet, also injury prone

    Conclusion: Luke Shaw is the best long term pick imo but his fixtures are horrible, think its worth taking a punt on johnny Evans, if it fails gw 11 should see Shamus Coleman on our radrs, awesome fixtures

      Shaw - Very short term (next 3) I think fixtures are okay if we can keep it tight at the back but a little more worried after today.

      Could see a clean sheet or 2 in next 3.

      After that the following 3 are poor - Arsenal and Everton away followed by City at home.

      After that things get a bit better again. Think I'll keep him for the longer term.
