    Who's your favourite player in your FPL team?

    One name that springs to mind immediately has to be Myhill, he's an absolute hero right now.

    My favourite though? Payet.

    I don't watch anywhere near as much football as I'd like while busy with other things etc but I did watch the opening match of Arsenal v West Ham. I'd never seen Payet play before and knew next to nothing about him.

    While watching that match I was really impressed and he seemed like a bit of a baller. After that I wanted rid of Walcott and Payet was straight in and since then he's done well. It's nice to own someone purely from watching them play and being impressed (even if it was just a one game knee jerk!).

      Mahrez.

      He is the only player in my team who I have full confidence in. He blanked once and that was when he came off at HT. I've had him from GW1 because I thought there was a chance he would get the odd goal or assist and would be a nice differential; didn't expect it to turn out this well.

      Chadli. He's always a good differential and gets points even when he and Spurs have a rubbish game. His PPG has been amongst the 8.5 mids over the last year but he's still 7.0!

      Tying into myhil, I love doubling up on a defence when it pays off. I've had Dawson as well since WC, and there is a sick satisfaction to watching them grind out clean sheets.

      I will also always captain Aguero far more than any other player, because he is so so good to watch at his destructive best.

      Might surprise you, but Payet and EVANS! Jonny boy cost me 0.2 less than Dawson and brought me 2 bonus points which was a delight! Also keeping faith in Payet just because I watched him play in that #10 role for West ham was a great differential in the mini leagues for me.

    Nothing wrong with taking hits if that's how you like to play the game. The benchmark for taking a hit a week, every week, is to finish inside the top 10k...it's a tall order but can be done. Set that target and the game opens up nicely for a bit of fun and plenty of changes...

            It's such an obsessive game that for some folk, if they concentrate on OR, it can actually ruin the footy....

            I've tried to get people to do a hit a week league a few times but nobody ever takes it up in pre season...

            i concentrate on getting more points than worrying of taking hits, cuz in the end I only have 1 head-to-head league, but the others are normal leagues so its not effecting my team as long I am winning those points

        No, you're right, not that move alone.

        But the better you are at FPL, the more likely you are to make a 'lucky' pick. And over the course of a season, those decisions add up and generally, the more skilful managers make more correct ones.

          No I agree with what your saying.

          I don't think FPL is just a game of luck, far from it.

          The collective decisions and strategy of the season add up.

          Although I'd argue one singular move could be lucky, of course it could.

    Was all set on using my FT this week on Silva to Payet but with mid week games in mine (plus tomorrows games) I think I may hold for now, I would have done this without thinking previously and have finished decent come end of the season, maybe signs of getting old 🙁
