Gameweek 6 is rounded off with a pair of tea-time encounters. Liverpool host Norwich City in the wake of successive defeats, while Southampton duke it out with Manchester United at St Mary’s Stadium.

Only Newcastle (two) have tallied fewer goals than the Reds (three) this campaign, yet the Canaries’ visit could be the perfect antidote for their impotence, given that they’ve rattled 21 goals past the Norfolk outfit in their past five meetings – albeit largely due to the influence of the departed Luis Suarez. At the back, Liverpool have shipped six goals in their previous two outings so need to turn out a diligence performance at Anfield to renew our confidence in their defensive recruits.

Norwich rank in the top four with regards to goals (eight) and big chances (11) this season, illustrating the budget potential of their attacking assets. Alex Neil will be keen to tighten up at the back, however, considering that his charges place joint-third for goals conceded (nine) and joint-fourth for big chances conceded (nine). The fact that Norwich are yet to register a clean sheet will serve as motivation for Liverpool’s misfiring forward line.

Southampton go into the meeting with United desperate for three points having recorded just two wins in their last eleven league outings. Goals are the main issue for Ronald Koeman’s men having blanked in the last four: the Saints have converted just 6% of their on their attempts on goal. Defensively, however, Southampton are in the ascendency, having claimed three consecutive shut-outs – only Man City have allowed fewer shots in the box than Koeman’s defence thus far.

Manchester United will need to find a cutting edge to break the Saints’ resistance, having found three goals against Liverpool last weekend to double their league tally. Louis van Gaal’s side have dominated possession in matches, without carving out gilt-edged opportunities. Indeed, with just five big chances to their name, only West Brom and Newcastle have proved less potent in that respect.

    Martial on 66k NTItoday... How many of those were in the last hour? I'd say 99%... If he scores v sunderland he could be 8.5 by the end of the international break... Too tempting to not get him in, for TV if nothing else!

    If Martial's price rise odds are at something crazy like 500% and then he goes up tonight to 8.1, is it faster to go up to 8.2 or does it restart and go off tomorrow's transfers?

    I'm very anti-hits, but if there ever was a justified -4, it has to be:
    Ozil>Payet
    Benteke>Martial

    What do you think?

        what's the reasoning? Assuming Tekkers is out because of his hammie, I'm betting on Payet scoring 4 more than Ozil.

          I don't trust him to deliver over their fixtures. Granted he has a good chance next week.

            I assume you mean Martial, not Payet. Sunderland are just awful, he could destroy their defence.

    My team

    Butland - Mignolet
    Cedric - Huth - Kolarov - Naughton - Azpilicueta
    Wanyama - Pedro - Sanchez - Redmond - Mahrez
    Wilson - Aguero - Gomis

    1 FT, 1.5 ITB

    There are several players I should get rid
    1) Cedric : didn't play today and not good fixtures
    2) Huth : Leicester won't make a lot of cleansheets and he doesn't seem to be near from scoring on corners
    3) Redmond : lack of points. A good player IRL, but not the type we need in FPL
    4) Gomis : the spark seems to be gone. He has never been a constant player

    So, I can use one free trade and take a -4 hit

    Pick two among these :
    A) Cedric -> Cresswell
    B) Huth -> Nyom
    C) Redmond -> Nobme
    D) Gomis -> Martial
    E) Else

    Funny how some people can find excuses to keep blank-machines like Aguero and Sanchez in their teams while they're bashing the idea of getting an in form player like Martial.

    So, here i am wondering what i should do with my team.. Can you help me guys?

    Atm my team looks like this:

    Cech/Schwarzer
    Kolarov, Cedric (Didn't play today??), Gomez (wont get much more playtime?), Huth and Oxford
    Hazard, Pedro, Silva, Mahrez and Wanyama
    Aguero, Wilson and Gomis

    0.2 ITB
    1FT

    Gomez didn't play today and wont play much more -> Williams?
    Oxford -> Francis
    Depending on Gomis -> Igahlo (or another trade to get cash) i can do Huth to Azpi?

    Any other suggestions?
