Gameweek 8 saw two more players topple off the Suspension Tightrope as we head into the second international break of the season. Sunderland centre-back Sebastian Coates was the first guilty party after earning his fifth yellow of 2015/16 in the second half of yesterday’s home draw against West Ham.

Coates will now miss the Black Cats’ trip to West Brom next time out as the Wearsiders prepare for life without Dick Advocaat after the Dutchman resigned earlier today.

This afternoon, Coates was joined by Tottenham’s Eric Dier, who has now been booked in five of the first eight league matches in his new central midfield role. The 10%-owned defender, who had been drafted in by over 25,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers prior to today’s caution, will now miss the Gameweek 9 home encounter with Liverpool.

Despite losing those two to suspension, the Tightrope now boasts ten faces – three more than last weekend.

Ciaran Clark, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jack Colback, Billy Jones and Dele Alli all remain on four yellows and are joined by five new entries this time round. City pair Eliaquim Mangala and Fernandinho incurred the referee’s wrath in yesterday’s 6-1 romp over Newcastle at the Etihad, whilst West Ham’s Mark Noble is another fresh recruit after collecting a yellow card in the 2-2 stalemate at Sunderland.

Oriol Romeu is also added to the mix. The midfielder picked up his fourth caution in as many league starts for Southampton against former club Chelsea yesterday – he’s managed that feat in just 371 minutes of top-flight action. Earlier today, United full-back Matteo Darmian found his way into the referee’s notebook in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal.

The weekend brought further woe for the Black Cats, with Jeremain Lens set to miss the Gameweek 9 trip to the Hawthorns. The Dutchman – whose goal in yesterday’s draw means he played a part in five of the Wearsiders’ eight goals under Advocaat – was dismissed after receiving cautions for fouls on Carl Jenkinson and Winston Reid either side of the half-time break against the Hammers.

In terms of newly available players, Chelsea’s Diego Costa, Watford’s Valon Behrami and Everton wide man Kevin Mirallas are all in the frame in Gameweek 9 after they served the last of three-match bans for violent conduct this weekend.

I'm looking to offload Darmian this week but I want to know who people would consider. I can choose up to 5.8m.

Here's some choices I've been looking at:

    1) Zabaleta - 5.8
    2) Dawson - 5.0
    3) Bertrand - 5.3

I'd take Bertrand at 5.3 if I could right now.

Any ideas on this lot considering I'll probably WC in GW11 or 13?

    Ruddy Rudd
    Kolarov Cédric Morgan Coates Gomez
Mahrez De Bruyne Sánchez Payet Westwood
    Agüero Martial Vardy

1 FT, £0.8m in the bank.

Is selling Martial a good idea?
Can I save or is it worthwhile fixing a defender for a few weeks?

    Cheers.

    A: (-4) Berahino + Mata ->> Pelle + Tadic
    B: (-8) Berahino + Mata + Ward ->> Pelle + Mane + 4.0

Verdicts still out on my -12: Sterling, Wilson, Ruddy, Gomez --> KdB(c), Vardy, Myhill, Dawson.
First two worked perfectly, but had I not done the latter two trannies, I'd have qualified for Balder's comp 🙁 Last hit for a long time I think, last hit I took put me out of LMS by 4 points.

Yep yep. Hazard became a hazard to my team, and whatever is going on at Chelsea right now, I want no part of it. Even if he has gotten some points lately, they have all been janky as hell.

Don't complain, many of us have been holding him and Kun for many GWs, and suffering for blank GWs until they explode.

First 12 point hit I've even done in 7 seasons... Not sure if its ridiculous or down right ridiculous.

    Anyways, heres the damage:

    Martial+Pedro+Sako+Darmian > Ighalo+Sanchez+Mane+Janmaat = -12pts

    Reasoning:
**Pedro > Mane - no brainer
**Darmian > Janmaat - Suspension tightrope, prefer Janmaat to shine in his attacking stats and now they fantastic fixture run to GW19.
**Martial > Ighalo - Cashed in on money made, Ighalo cheap and not nasty - he has been delivering consistently plus it made funds available for Sanchez
**Sako > Sanchez - not confident with Sako as a fifth mid and doesn't appear to be nailed now.

Going forward probably looks at sticking with 3-5-2. Holding onto Gomez for now to see what new Manager will do, Janmaat for the ridiculous favourable fixtures up until GW19

    Ruddy (Butland)
    Kolarov Williams Janmaat (Richards Gomez)
    Sanchez Silva Payet Mane Mahrez
    Kun Vardy (Ighalo)

The Darmian to Janmaat move was questionable, the rest was okay.

I do agree to a certain extent. United have been playing well in terms of defence. This was definitely the not so straight forward move of the lot. Can only hope Janmaat does something decent as I doubt many have him at all 😛

Thanks Ilovebaps, it was definitely a heavy hearted move, but I think it had to be done. There is still a long way to go in the season, so hopefully I can make up those 12 points plus more over the next few weeks.

The lesser number of people takes Aguero the happier I am. Not looking for price rises from Aguero, he is about points and captaincy.

        Cheers lads!

Axe Pedro before the price drop for Silva/KDB or wear the price-drop and re-evaluate after the dust settles from the international break?
