With the second international break of the season upon us, weโ€™re afforded time to assess the leading contenders in the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League and Sky Sports, there’s plenty to catch up on.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE

Courtesy of a 129-point haul, Samuel Slennett surged to the summit of the Scout League. Aside from the Sergio Aguero (captain) and Alexis Sanchez combo, Samuel โ€“ whoโ€™s now ranked 14th in the overall rankings โ€“ profited from Yohan Cabaye, David Silva, Dimitri Payet and Graziano Pelle. Clean sheets from Jack Butland and Pape Souare rounded off his impressive total. To join our FPL league, which has risen to the summit of the Best Leagues, use the code 600-520.

Jason Smith slipped to second place despite bagging an impressive 90 points. He, too, had Aguero and Sanchez among his ranks but opted to hand the captainโ€™s armband to Payet instead. Andre Ayew and Odion Ighalo delivered the goods,ย but his back four served up just seven points between them.

Patryk Ostrowski moved up the bronze-medal position after accuring 103 points. Aguero (captain), Sanchez, Payet and Pelle produced the bulk of his attacking returns, while Stoke defender Geoff Cameron afforded Patryk his solitary clean sheet.

Sitting just four points shy of the top three, Jamie Geraghty tallied 102 points in Gameweek 8. Glenn Murray put him through the wringer by following up his first goal of the campaign with a penalty miss, while Eden Hazard claimed a handy assist. Aguero (captain), Sanchez, Ighalo and Payet were Jamieโ€™s star men.

Fifth-placed Mark Elias also captained Aguero but plumped for Kevin De Bruyne ahead of Sanchez. Jamie Vardy and Hector Bellerin combined for 16 points to give Markโ€™s squad a different flavour to those managers above him.

FPL Members Scout League

Niclas Andersson ranks top of the Memberโ€™s League and 114th overall after chalking up 118 points. Although his three defenders and keeper tallied just seven points between, all of Niclasโ€™ front seven scored seven points or more, with Mane, Ighalo and Vardy among them.

Jon Mjelde fronts the chasing pack. He decided against captaining Aguero โ€“ choosing Sanchez instead โ€“ but still carded 112 points. Vardy and Ighalo underlined the merits of recruiting budget forwards, while Mane flexed his differential muscles.

Third-placed Andrew Dougan bagged 117 points, with Bellerin and Butland serving up some welcome shut-out points at the back. Andrew used his bench boost chip to little effect, given that Alex McCarthy and Riyad Mahrez were no-shows, while Nathan Redmond and Wes Morgan recorded three points between them.

Edd Stobbart boasted a Gameweek rank of 1603 by way of his 130 points. His Sanchez-less team delivered big points in midfield with Payet, Ayew, De Bruyne and Mesut Ozil. Edd’s three-man strike force โ€“ consisting of Aguero (captain), Ighalo and Pelle โ€“ registered 73 points as a unit.

Euan Thompson climbed into the top five, with a host of familiar faces harvesting his 118 points. Jonjo Shelvey and Wayne Hennessey injected Euanโ€™s squad with some nice variation to the template.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Ryan Evans sits at the summit of our Ultimate Fantasy Premier League ladder and, with 671 points overall, he’s also the top ranked manager in the game with a seven point lead over his nearest rival.

Catherine Wright sits second in our league, some 24 points behind Ryan earning her a sixth place ranking in the world. Panna Fricker just two points behind her in third in our on 645, eighth overall.

There’s then a gap of ten points to Dominic Nelson in fourth and 15th in the world after a huge 145 point return in Gameweek 8. Joe Stout completes our top five on 629 and an overall rank of 25th in the world.

To join this league, use the League Code: 1258-516.

SKY SPORTS FANTASY FOOTBALL

Lesley Young (607 points) boasts an extraordinary 70-point lead over second placed Stephen Lambert (537) in our Scout League, with the former ranking fourth in the overall leaderboard. Alan Wood (535) is positioned just two points behind Stephen in the bronze-medal berth. The winner of our Sky league, which currently sits fifth in the League of Leagues, wins ยฃ1,000. To join up, the league name is FFScout and the code is 8009000.

Sun Dream Team

Charles Mouzon enjoys a two-point lead at the peak of the Sun Scout League, having racked up 81 points last Gameweek. Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial flattered to deceive, but Aguero, Sanchez, De Bruyne and Payet all came up trumps.

With a mighty 99 points this time around, David O Byrne is applying pressure to the leader. Aguero, Sanchez and Pelle formed the perfect trio of forwards, while Sadio Mane, Silva and Hazard completed his high-powered offense.

Not content with just leading the pack, Charles Mouzonโ€™s Manchester United focused team sits in third position. In a roster comprised of five Red Devils recruits, Branislav Ivanovic and Christian Benteke, the likes of Aguero, Sanchez and Mane rescued his 54-point haul.

Tim Mongiat is three points adrift of the podium after a strong showing last time out. Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Depay and Rooney all failed to hit the mark, yet Aguero and Sanchez and Mane helped him on the way to 73 points.

Capping off the top five, Nigel Dodds slid down the rankings due to a 46-point weekend. Nigelโ€™s five Red Devilsโ€™ recruits restricted his scoring potential, but Aguero, Pelle and Mane ensured that not all was lost.

Too much spent in defence, not enough midfield.

Ignoring Vardy and Pelle might sting, their stats are amazing, they are scoring points and they have good fixtures. Martial and Lukaku's fixtures get better soon though. I'm not sure about Martial yet but I plan to have another look at Lukaku in 2 weeks time, Everton look decent.

Payet is a better option than 3 of your midfielders. Yaya is probably the 3rd best City option.

Mert is a poor option and Moreno not for me. Souare is a good pick, Williams is an ok pick, you'd be better going for Bertrand than Cedric.

Hope that was constructive, didn't mean to rip your team apart, I just think it's all wrong, especially for a WC.

    Any thoughts on this lot?

    Butland / Hennessey

    Kolarov / Monreal / Evans / Davies / Francis

    Sanchez / KDB / Payet / Mahrez / Morrison

    Kun / Vardy / Ayoze

    1FT 2.1 ITB

I think save would be the best option? Would help in bringing in Soton/Everton players GW11, thinking Evans / Kolarov > Bertrand /Jagielka & Ayoze > Naismith currently
Also considering AOA for this week, got great attacking options for next GW but also have 3 DEFS that could get a cleanie!

Thinking after next GW of taking a couple of hits after international to take Azpilicueta, Kolarov, Gomez and McCarthy out and upgrade my defence - Get in Cech, Dawson - Who should the other two be?

    Butland (McCarthy)
    Kolarov, Azpilicueta, Cedric, (Martin, Gomez)
Sanchez, De Bruyne, Walcott, Mehrez (Redmond)
    Aguero, Vardy, Ighalo

I don't see the rush to get rid of Kolarov personally.

Until and if he permanently loses his place to Clichy I'm keeping him. Just get a starting £4.5 to come off the bench for him if needed. He's the one defender left in this game now who can net you a 15 pt haul in any given game week.

Not to be sniffed at, that.

I'm not convinced Clichy comes straight back in and demotes him to bench duties though.

^This. We will know that Kolarov is at a risk of being rotated when Clichy comes back and Kolarov gets substitued out after playing 70-80 minutes in the field. I will worry about Kolarov the following after this happens.
I don't think Clichy will be in starting XI right after he comes back from injury. He will be gradually given more playing time week after week.

THERE WAS SOME good news for Ireland’s captain and record goalscorer Robbie Keane today as his wife Claudine gave birth to their second child.

Roy Keane was interviewed about our up coming clash with Germany and he was quizzed about Robbie.

    The conversation went like this…

First journalist: “Will Robbie be available?”

    Roy: “Why wouldn’t he be?”

Second journalist: “His wife just had a baby and I think that might have delayed his arrival.”

Roy: “He didn’t have the baby, did he?! Unless he’s breastfeeding he should be alright.”

We’re going to take it he will be in the matchday squad so.

I don't like my GK pairing. My defence is weak. I don't like Martial. Otherwise I think I'm Ok.

    Thoughts?

Janmaat being rested during international break is great considering they flagged him and it will frighten off new suitors and keep him under the radar as a great diff with 2.9% ownership set for little increase now ๐Ÿ™‚

True, but not sure how keen i am atm on NEW eventho i keep considering him. Could be a bargain at 4.9 considering their fixtures

          Not strictly true.

They could pretty much stay where they are.

          Which is very likely actually.

I suppose, if going down from 19th position is any better.

Funny post on Sunderland fans forum (Ready To Go) recently asking if it made an difference whether Sunderland or Newcastle finished above the other but still went down.

I think the posters basically said it only gave them bragging rights as to who was the least sh*tty team.

Since January they have been the worst team in the Prem.

Bad teams can still get themselves into match winning positions, you know. The problem is that bad teams tend to find was to lose points from those positions. Which is exactly what you're seeing from them.

They look like a team that will raise their game against the big boys, for a half or so, then crumble once the first goal against them goes in.

They also look like they'll mail it in against the likes of Norwich, Bournemouth, Watford etc and drop points to those teams they should be beating.

Their last two performances have been encouraging. I know they lost 6-1 to City but they were actually the better team in the first half. If they play like that during their upcoming fixtures I reckon there are some attacking points to be had. Got my eyes on Ayoze.
