Four sides with strong fixtures dominate my thinking this week, with Spurs, Everton, Manchester City and Southampton all facing prime candidates for relegation. With attacking and defensive assets from that quartet seeming well set for points, I’ve built my entire first XI around many of their main men.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet, it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses the same initial player prices and has a similar scoring system.

My Team

This is the team I will play in the freeroll:
Hugo Lloris (5m)
Virgil van Dijk (5.5m)
Aleksandar Kolarov (5.5m)
Seamus Coleman (6m)
Kevin de Bruyne (10m)
Raheem Sterling (9m)
Ross Barkley (6.5m)
Sadio Mane (8m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Romelu Lukaku (8m)
Graziano Pelle (8m)

Key Picks

Hugo Lloris: The Frenchman’s prospects have been strengthened this season due to an upturn in resilience in Mauricio Pochettino’s second year at the helm. Spurs have conceded just a single goal in their last four home matches – against Manchester City – and now host a managerless Villa side with one goal in the previous three.

Virgil van Dijk: Southampton’s summer signing netted ten times for Scottish Champions Celtic last season and also provided six assists, an astonishing record for a centre back. Two goals in his first six Premier League appearances indicates Van Dijk has maintained his attacking threat as the Saints welcome Bournemouth to St Mary’s.

Kevin de Bruyne: The Belgian’s form since returning to the Premier League has been nothing short of sensational. De Bruyne has racked up six goals and as many assists in 11 matches across all competitions for City and now hosts a Norwich side that conceded six at Newcastle in their last road trip.

Romelu Lukaku: Despite a tough opening schedule that pitted him against all of last season’s top eight in the first ten fixtures, the Everton striker has already found the net on five occasions. Given that weekend visitors Sunderland have conceded more shots in the box (103) than any other team, Lukaku could even be worth backing as captain this week.

This Week’s Game Picks

As usual there is an End of Week bargain game that covers three of those four teams mentioned above. It’s only £1.10 to enter and has a £75 guaranteed pot.

The Grand Weekend is FantasyBet’s biggest game, where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy in.

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet is the Weekly Freeroll, where you set up a weekly team and compete for £100 for free.

Last Week

A positive week overall, with a fifteenth placed finish in the £1000 game brining home £9 winnings. Laurent Koscielny and Harry Kane provided the bulk of the points, and although failing to captain the latter cost me a higher finish, a profit nonetheless is welcome. Another £7.44 in winnings arrived from the Saturday Double Up and the Flash Freeroll, leaving me with a £97.81 pot.

This Week’s Stake

I will enter all of the games mentioned in the section above and will also dabble in the Saturday Double-up, as well as the £50 flash freeroll and, as usual, the FFScout Picks League this week, for a total stake of £11.

In addition, I’ll be going up against S Kuqi, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head-to-head game for a chance to win free entry into a £400 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £500 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFScout Picks League

FFS member Anony42mous topped last week’s Scout Picks league with 79 points. His decision to captain Kane was inspired, with the Spurs’ forward supplying 34 points, whilst tripling up on the West Brom defence also paid off, as the Baggies assets brought in another 20 points between them. The Scout Picks accumulated 41 points, leaving us in 26th – I captained Riyad Mahrez, who was, alongside Craig Dawson, our top scoring pick with six points.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected. Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

I'm hovering over the confirm button of Martial to Kane. Someone talk me in/out of it?

Maybe Albrighton to Ozil instead so I can play 3-5-2...

I'm very conflicted. I can only have one of Ozil or Kane, and whilst I'd love to have Kane, Ozil seems the smart move as he is likely to score more in the long run.

Shouldn't Sterling owners be much more worried than Bony owners . He is a doubt and there was no mention of him in the presser . Pellegrini said “They can play both together as they did tonight. Bony played well tonight. Of course Kelechi was very impressive but Wilfried also knows he has all my trust and his team-mates’ and they have a Champions League game on Wednesday ?

I love how so many without Bony like to read between the lines and hoping he will be benched! You should be scared;)
He is their second best of two senior strikers they have, they paid lost of money for him and he has got good history of scoring many goals.
They need him to play as much as possible while Kun is out so he can get up to speed and boost his confidence so he doesn't fail in big games when they need him to step up! They gotta keep him happy and motivated as well 🙂

It's not like one will concede 1/2 and another 6/7, but I would say Sunderland
People only see the 3-0 but most didn't even watch them being outplayed by Newcastle in first half, they gave away too many chances and they do suck big time defensively

@Members. Run a comparison tool on Bony vs Yoyo. You'll be surprised

One stays up and the other goes up and down

Any news with coleman. Listed as major doubt with a stomach bug?

Looks like he's going to miss out, should i transfer out with my FT?

I'm looking to get in some Southampton or Everton cover. Can't see anyone obvious to transfer out though. Maybe Costa > Lukaku?

    Butland, McCarthy
    Huth, Bellerin, Darmian, Sagna, Francis
Sanchez, De Bruyne, Payet, Mahrez, Gosling
    Martial, Costa, Vardy

Either way Silva missing Norwich game is good news for Kdb cappers.

To way I see it if Nacho starts:

    City substitutions if no injuries:

    Bony -> Iheanacho
    Sterling -> Garcia
KDB / Yaya -> Fernandinho (around 75 mins if game is already won)

Reckon Yaya may only get a half if they're up by 2.

Yaya will be top of the list to come off if they are winning by enough, second one off will be Kompany and then Sterling/KDB

        Kompany won't get subbed

Yaya, KDB and Bony the prime candidates IMO

He will if Pell is still unsure about his fitness.
