It does. In fact I can do that AND do Pelle/Martial to Lukaku for free.

Would make it pretty damn difficult to get Aguero back in the next few weeks though

I think its a good move but its a move that could wait until after GW13. They have Stoke next at home and Pelle is good at home.

I think Payet/Oxford are potentially more urgent moves. Equally saving a transfer could be useful, at least until after the internationals.

If you had to choose one of these moves which would you choose.
Need to raise cash to get Aguero and Lukaku in.

Hey guys, how are you doing?

I was going to rage WC last night after an abysmal match day.

Mahrez captain gives his penalty away and Cedric no show means I will only have 10 players in total. However, thankfully my red arrow wasn't as big as I thought it would be.

How did you all go yesterday?

I know the feels, Cedric would have probably been in the top BPS as well with his propensity for them lately. Looks like he'll have to go.

Pretty bad after the Cedric no show, 16 from 5, with Sánchez, Özil, Kolarov, De Bruyne, Bony(c), & Huth.

      1. Pochecinno
        • 10 Years
        10 years, 5 months ago

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. My brother did a sideways Cedric to VVD for his transfer and I was a little perplexed by the move. Looks like it was semi genius now.

23 from 7 with Moreno, KDB, Sterling and Kolarov to go 🙁

        1. Zasa
          • 11 Years
          10 years, 5 months ago

Aye, may do that as well, or Smalling on a 2 week punt.

That's a solid four to come in though, Sterling's a great FFS differential as is the less owned Moreno.

Eden, I think you're being led too far astray by taking their xG as face value with little context imo. Your reasoning for Sterling being a better option is his better xG, right?

Shocking. Same situation as you, main culprits Mahrez captain, Cedric, Mane and Pelle.

Yep that no show was not nice especially as it was unnecessary and unexpected. I don't understand Jones either but then its LVG and that's why I ended up keeping away and just got DDG instead. Here's to hoping Pellegrino wasn't trolling us and Kolarov plays!

Well he's 4.4 for a start. Palace seem to have tightened up a little this season and has great fixtures on the horizon. Seems to have upped his attacking threat too

Yeah cheers for that. I've noticed since Hangeland has come back into the team they have tightened up a bit. Didn't expect that from a Pardew side. Fixtures look good too.

Would you say Ward has the best attacking threat in that backline?

Dann is probably the best bet for attacking returns from Palace but he is 5.0. I think both him and Souare are pretty attacking. Souare seems like the type of guy to get injured a lot to me.

Well Souaré's started every match when fit, I can't see why he doesn't have his spot down pat.

I didn't question his starting role. I questioned whether Ward is more attacking than Souare. They play on opposite flanks don't they?

Yep. Comparison tool shows one has a lot more goal threat and the other has slightly better chance creation.

Aye, i think i'll go Souare becuase he is quite a differential at 2.1%

That said, Ward still has a low ownership.

Ah my bad, yes, very much so. From open-play, I'd go with Souaré's assist potential for sure imo. Way, way more crosses from Souaré & more take-ons as well.

Maybe not, but he's no where near as attacking as Souaré. Very different full-back playstyles, it's like an Abidal vs Dani Alves comparison. From watching them play, surely the more dynamic, pacey FB who can take-on defenders will reap more rewards from open play, no? 5 successful crosses from 7 total in their last six? I'm not so sure he'll sustain that accuracy.

Depends on how often u would need/want to play them. Probably a watford defender for clean sheets Ward for attacking threat or Simpson for sheer pikey cheapness.

I have Gomes as a rotating GKer with Myhill already so might not be too keen to double up (already have doubled up in WBA defence). Simpson looks a good bet but I might be more tempted by schlupp if he keeps an attacking role. Not till after their hard fixtures though I think. Might just go for a Palace defender. He won't be starting that often

I think that is a decent plan.
I would always favour an attacking defender over one with more cleansheet potential for bench fodder. Ward fits the bill nicely imo.

Don't think so. I'm seriously reconsidering my premium keeper strategy. Once a keeper concedes his FPL game is essentially over. You might as well stick cheapies in there and splend the money outfield. Myhill and. Hennessey are good shout as well. But just be warned Foster is lurking

So I suppose I need to shave my team to find 4.0m to get Aguero
    1ft & 0.5 itb

    Butland, McCarthy
    Kolarov, Smalling, Bellerin, Zouma, Richards
    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mahrez, Redmond
    Pelle, Vardy, Lukaku

Since I've overspent on my defence I've worked out 4 transfers to achieve mission Aguero. I might take a 2*-4 hits over 2 gw's.
    Zouma to Simpson
Redmond to Lingard (is he nailed. LVG said he's playing better than his competitor so hopefully)
    KDB to Ozil
    Pelle to Aguero

Thoughts appreciated & thanks in advance.

West Broms fixtures turn good again on the 19th December. Is that too long to have dawson sit on the bench for? Have myhill as well so could be a worry, but think it should be fine rotating hennesey in at the time, as well as smalling, alderwield, bellerin and nyom to get through those fixtures. Wba double up is great when they have good fixtures so think it might just be best to hold now.

Very early days and I'll likely wait till after the internationals, but any early ideas for this lot?

    Bank 0.5m, 2FT

    DDG
    Kolarov, VVD, Bellerin
    Sanchez, KDB, Mane, Mahrez
    Lukaku, Bony, Pelle

    Hennessey, Simpson, Surman, Moreno

Kolarov downgrade? Ward looks a good enabler, and despite their current debacle CHE (Azpil/Zouma) have good fixtures...

        Cheers Tony.

Kolarov -> Ward does leave enough cash for

Bony/Pelle -> Kun/Ighalo for free the week after

Late reply at a party here.

Moves look good if your happy playing Ighalo in a 343.

1FT and £800K in the bank

    Cech
    Kolarov Smalling Dann
Barkley KDB Mahrez Payet Sanchez (c)
    Lukaku Vardy

    Sub: Dawson, Ighalo, Van Djik

Looking for some good differentials - three of us in my league keep rotating the lead and wanna put the issue to rest once and for all (bearing in mind there's still over 2/3 of the season to go)!

Being a Utd supporter I'd be cautious about taking advice from a Scouser but in this case I'm more convinced about getting Mane in, cheers!

Also what do ppl think about Barkley to Delofeu? Barkley's been a bit disappointing of late esp against teams he should be destroying

See a lot of chatter from peeps saying they are going to bounce KDB out their squads. I can't say I recommend it.

he hasn't looked amazing yet still producing goods, will be very interesting to see how he does with silva back, probably much better as the newcastle game would suggest.

That's part of my thinking. Evidence suggests that KDB with Silva and Aguero could be a three-way party.

I think he's too expensive, that's the issue. He was giving big hauls consistently at the beginning which made people consider that the value was actually worth it. Now that has plateaued it does some a bit hefty. Especially as Yaya and Sterling are approx 2m less and Silva will prob be 1m less by the time he comes back

Points well made in relation to funds. I think he can get back to thriving with the top talent back, however. The price is pretty high, though.

    Best way to get Kun
Over the international break Williams >> Ward probably will be my transfer.
    Then GW14
A Wijnaldum and Pelle >> 4.5 And Kun
B Payet and Pelle >> 5.5 (Max) and Kun

    Stekelenburg (McCarthy)
    Bellerin Kompany Moreno (Ward, Evans)
Sanchez KDB Mahrez (PAYET , WIJNALDUM)
    Lukaku PELLE Vardy
