I brought in KDB late. I can't afford both him and Kun. Is Silva 9.9 (when fit) can do the job as good?

I have a midfield consisting of Sanchez, KdB, Sterling, Pauet, Drinkwater

I am out of home currently and do not have much info regarding the injuries currently. Is payet out? Who do I replace him with? Ozil? Eriksen?Mahrez?Mane?
Got 2.1 itb but would want to save as I want to bring in aguero later.

I think a bigger factor is Chelsea as a whole at the moment. In the past they have been doing decent early on while Hazard has started slow.

It's tough to start banging them in when the team as a whole is down in the dumps

Please help me with my Kun route. Thanks!

    I currently have this team:

    Butland, McCarthy
    Bellerin, Smalling, Moreno, Cedric, Richards
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Ayew, KDB, Payet
    Vardy, Pelle, Bony

I have the following team in mind when Kin is back:

    Butland, Hen/ Elliot*
    Bellerin, Smalling, Moreno, Ward*, Nyom*
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Silva*, Willian*, Anya*
    Vardy, Lukaku*, AGUERO*

I don't need to do all those transfers to get Kun in but that's the team I am aiming for.

Suggestions much valued and appreciated. Thanks :

I think the obvious is upgrade Bony -->> Aguero. Now to get those funds (not sure how much you have ITB?), I would downgrade Ayew to non-playing 5th MD (Drinkwater, Barry or even Lingard if he maintains his spot for Utd). If more funds are needed then KDB --> Sterling/Yaya maybe?

    Moreno, Kolarov, Francis, Toby, Ward
    KDB, Alexis, Payet, Mahrez Westwood
    Martial, Pelle, Vardy

    2ft, 4.5m in account
It's an awkward position with Aguero back soon.

    This week-
    Martial- Lukaku
    KDB- Ozil

Advanced positioning? Since Agüero's injury, De Bruyne has had averaged a way more advanced position bar Gw9, where KdB was farther left. Overall though, comparing both of their positioning since Gw5-8 (with Ägüero) & also post-Agüero, KdB's not only averaged a higher positioning overall, but a more central one as well. These lat two GW's Steling's averaged positiomg was in the far left right on the half line.

Comparing both players averages per appearance, Kdb clearly dominates in terms of sheer volume of passes, crosses, through balls, chances created. I'm not so sure Sterling's roughly 10% better passing overall negated KdB's sheer creative threat tbh. Could his worse pass acc be simply due to his more aggressive passing style? ie since Gw5 KdB's nearly doubled his passimg in the finäl third, minutes per chance created, 45 crosses to Sterling's 11 (0% successful). In creativity, involvement both overall & in the opponents half, it's pretty clear there's one winner.

In terms of SiTB since Gw5, Sterling's managed 11 more to KdB's 6. Yet, KdB haß had more SoT (3 more). I'm not so sure the disparity between both in terms of goal threat is large enough to come to the conclusion that Sterling's a better pick, like, at all. Penalty are involvement is the only thing he boasts better stats overall in (& the context lacking pass acc stat), other than that, most attacks have gone through KdB relative to Sterling. That extra 2.0m is heavily justified here imo. Sterling lacks overall goal & final third involvement as oppose to an Özil....

How about Silva or Ozil compared to KDB then.. (That for me is the only game in town atm)

Think lots of people need to consider 'downgrading' KDB to accommodate Aguero..
      Silva/Ozil fit that bill.

How about you compare their most recent stats? (ie. last 4 GWs)

KDB has regressed quite a bit, and Sterling looks a lot better given the cheaper price and the better stats despite reduced minutes.

I have both though, so not an issue. 🙂

I put quite a lot of emphasis on Big Chances received, and KDB is nowhere to be found in that department, Sterling doing very well - most BC received over last 4 amongst midfielders despite just 213 minutes out of apossible 360.

Sure, & betcha those big chances are being delivererd by KdB.

KdB got 20 assists last season & most of goals came from outside the box....

They actually aren't being delivered by KDB. KDB has created 0 Big Chances in the last 4.

Regressed in terms of FPL points? Or underlying stats? Same narrative, KdB literally doubles or triples Sterling in nearly every creative category. With Sterling having 5 more penalty area touches & 4 mor SiTB. Not sure he's regressing statistically.

You're right, he hasn't regressed much in terms of stats. My bad. However...

KDB has 5 more Chances created than Sterling - 3 to 8
Okay. Would expect him to be the most creative in the team until Silva's back.

          But look at goal threat:
0 BCs for KDB, 4 for Sterling(top of mids over last 4 GWs) - Important, imo.
          2 Sib to 8 Sib
          2 SoT to 4 SoT

Most of KDB's shots are coming from outside the box as well, whereas almost all of Sterling's shots are inside the box, and KDB's chances aren't Big Chances which would potentially speak to the quality of the chances he creates.

Then you take into account the reduced minutes Sterling had to produce those stats, and then the price difference...seems simple to me.

Also, if you were to take this out of the context of just a Sterling-KDB comparison, think KDB has turned into a horrible value pick. 10.7m for someone who is generally relying on Creativity and assists, yet his creativity stats can't be compared with players who are quite a bit cheaper. (e.g Payet, Ozil and quite a few more...)

Yes, I've addressed the point of goal threat already & KdB's shots outside of the box, Arvin. That's his playstyle, & it garnered plenty of success for him last season. He's got a great shot on him. Idk where you're getting these stats from, but KdB's had 4 SiTB these last four & 4 SoT. Where are you getting the big chance created stat from?

In terms of key open-play passes in the danger zone per90, KdB is second overall on this & it's been strong all season - this is a better indicator - (Payet's nowhere to be foud) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CS4AkoiXIAABR-_.png:large

What's so bad relying on assists & chances created? Now with Agüero hopefully back soon, I expect KdB to thrive again. He has the stats & the players just haven't converted his chances created. I can't see how Sterling with less attacking responsibility overall with both Silva & Agüero back will be more central to the attack & several much a the ball tbh.

It's close between Özil & KdB, fact of the matter is they're both playing for the two best attacks in the league with the best xG. I can't see why I wouldn't want playmakers with high goal involvement from the highes scôring attacks on my team.

Stats do not bode well at all for Hammers, they've had unsustainable conversion rates (along with Payet) & all underlying stats point to serious regression.

I can't speak for last season, as I didn't watch him play and don't know the dynamic of the Wolfsburg team. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he the star of the Wolfsburg team? That won't be the case with City, and the goals will be a lot more shared, imo.

4 SiTB? My source says 2, could be wrong...or maybe I've just plugged in my Gameweek framework wrong. 😳
From my source... 😆 I can assured you their from Opta, so their definitely correct.

I'm not saying its bad to rely on assists. I think its fantastic like Ozil. However, if you are going to rely on assists and chances created, you'll need to be producing them on a much larger scale than KDB is atm, especially for his price.

I don't know what its going to be like when Kun and SIlva are back, but for now my opinion is that Sterling is better. Could easily change when the injured duo are back to favour KDB more, but I can't give you an opinion on that right now. Agree with you in that Sterling's appeal will probably diminish after their arrival.

              Re: Ozil VS KDB
Not about if or if not you'd like both, more about if you had to pick one, who would you have? Ozil wins out for me.
              - Ozil's main creator at Arsenal, KDB won't be soon.
              - Ozil does have better Chance creation stats, and supposedly the quality of chances created are better than KDB given his superior BCs created(Haven't experimented much with this particular stat though, so unsure)
              - Ozil is cheaper! Which is a big variable for me.

              - KDB does have slightly better goal threat though.

              Ozil for me.

Payet was just an example of someone creating chances at a better rate than KDB for a cheaper price, there are a few more. Not necessarily saying Payet & West Ham are the way to go. I don't even own Payet. 🙂

I'd say Özil's been a tad bit better these last four, disparity in these last four in terms of underlying stats isn't enough for me to confidently favor one or the other though tbh. Özil does have a better rate of danger zone passing per 90, I'd ideally have both.

I have KDB, atm. Considering ditching for Ozil this week. Turn of fixtures + already owning 3 City attackers + need of funds for Aguero lead me to this decision.

Selling - can't stand him in my team any longer...out for Rojo. Even if he starts the next game, its obvious now that his place is not secured in the team.

Was contemplating making this move just 2 days ago, seemed silly to ditch him since he had a chance of starting... 🙄

Could go Smalling since I'll be downgrading KDB this week, but might be a little too much cash invested in defence then? Already quite expensive atm.

              Bellerin VvD Jones (Moreno, Simpson)

              Thoughts?

Bellerin Smalling VvD looks beautiful though.

Yeah, fair point about the cash. If you can still afford Aguero though, then might not be a bad move.

Smalling is the best pick over the long-term, nailed, least injury prone these days and decent goal and bap threat.

The only thing this season that I'm really kicking myself about is getting Pelle for Aguero instead of Kane like I was thinking. I didn't do enough research (or I would have noticed the MASSIVE difference in the amount he shoots away vs home due to Koeman's tactics) and got pressured by his massive top10k ownership at the time.

He has 33 shots at home this season and 12 shots away. He took one single, solitary shot vs Sunderland.

    Bah.

The planning begins! (Since its quiet)

    DDG, McCarthy
    Kolarov, Bellerin, Dawson, Nyom, Francis
    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mane, Mahrez
    Pelle, Vardy, Ighalo

    2 FT's. 2.3 ITB

I could do a handful of things here. Which option?

    A) Pelle + KDB ----> Aguero + Deulofeu - Simple move, but leaves me with a 3-5-2/3-4-3 varient. Would have to hope that Payet is fine.
    B) Pelle + Payet ----> Aguero + Lingard/Surman - 3-4-3 formation. Would start Lingard(wat) ahead of Ighalo (MUN) this week.
    C) Pelle + Payet + Ighalo -----> Aguero + Deulofeu + Jerome/Watmore (4)- 3-5-2 formation
    D) Something else?

    Thoughts appreciated, cheers lads 😀

I wouldn't rush Aguero back yet. Team looks in decent shape and I wouldn't be ditching Pelle at home to Stoke.

If Payet is injured then I'd look at Payet -> Ozil (or even Hazard if you're feeling particularly punty).

If Payet is fit then I'd look at Dawson -> Ward

Barring any further injuries I would definitely save 1 of your 2FT anyway.
