We roll out the final instalment of our three-part series of Big Numbers articles, focusing on players by position over the last four Gameweeks. Having assessed the Defenders and Midfielders, it’s now time to analyse the options up front, with Leicester, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool’s strikers all turning in some impressive numbers.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I won't be touching him with a barge pole if he keeps playing out wide on the right. Hasn't shown any signs of decent form (FPL wise) since his 5.5m season.

With Ozil 1m more and Cazorla 0.4ish more, I don't see why you'd consider him at all tbh

each to their own but he wasnt exactly hugging the touchline playing on the right was getting in the box alot very much like mata... i agree his form hasnt been what it has been before but any signs of that and thats a very good price.. more goal threat than ozil and cazorla put together when he's on it

Playing wide right doesn't help, either. Seems to be a confidence-type player.

I'll be watching closely too. Some of the comments above are very harsh.

He had a perfectly good goal disallowed v liverpool in the 0-0 draw I remember, from one of those late runs into the box.

I'm not falling over myself to get him in but after a couple of weeks back when he's fully fit, he'll be worthy of consideration

That's close enough that you should probably shift a player if you don't want to suffer a drop.

If this was a drop that cost you sale value, you're safe for the rest of the week and can wait for the pressers before making your move - unless your replacement is set to rise one night.

Don't think you can change your team's nationality in mid-season.

CAR was very popular a few years back - we made it the top country - but FPL no longer publishes lists of top countries.

Well, Bony is an easy fix - either Lukaku or Kane.

You'd also want to fix Cedric, maybe get Bertrand, and then also Richards once you have a spare transfer

All these Alexis Sanchez injury and burnout reports make me a little uneasy on a WC, no doubt he's digressed lately both stats and output wise, maybe it's the perfect chance to drop him... 😕

I think this is the worst time to sell him, with the next 4 fixtures, unless he's injured. Seems a bit forgotten in all the Ozil love

Well yes, his stats have digressed dramatically as has his points.

Well yeah but if he's carrying a knock/likely to have a mid season break then I don't think his fixtures are relevant

        1. Demí
          • 15 Years

Just hadn't come across the use of digressed in this way before. Not really one for stats so I wouldn't know. Think it's just speculation, don't see him being rested unless he's genuinely carrying something which we should find out in the press conference.

Might be willing to take a Lukaku/Kane/Benteke attacking 3 after city this week... Aguero isn't coming into contention until January for me. It does lead to lesser options in the midfield though...

classic case of form vs fixtures, liverpool definitely have the fixtures, just a case of whether they can find form

Morning gents. Im studying for my masters and seeing as its international break thought I might get your opinions on our current topic. At the moment, we're discussing online 'presence' and what it's like to interact with people and avatars online and how it compares to face-to-face human interaction.I would like to get your thoughts on how you interact with other members here on FFS. Does having a grav affect your dealings with people here? How do you find expressing yourself through words and emoticons? Also, can one truly express themselves without the Ozil face emoticon?

Note this isn't a serious study for a dissertation or anything but Im still interested in your thoughts

As much as FFS asks to minimise emoticon use in the T&Cs I think they're an essential part of online communication. Otherwise its far too easy to misread the intent of a post. Also grav's are great here as its so much easier to remember a grav than a username and so you build more of a mental connection with a grav and their posts and character.

I agree. A smiley face can make all the difference. Do you think people attach deeper meaning to gravs and such? e.g. assuming a person has a witty personality due to a witty username or assuming someones age because their pic is an old man, or such.

          10 years, 3 months ago

Well, "Malcolm Tucker for England" certainly creates a first impression if thats what you mean. Also I think smiley gravs tend to have nicer people behind the keyboard. And dogs are just your best friends, apart from when their JTs dog of course, because JT is a ...

I think occasionally a particular grav acts as a disincentive to engagement for me.
