Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla are sidelined with injuries picked up at Norwich last weekend. Watford will make a late decision on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness, Micah Richards is a concern for Villa, whilst West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is set for a period on the sidelines.

Earlier this morning, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny might be ready to return for the visit of Sunderland – both face late assessments tomorrow. The Gunners boss admitted he was uncertain over Alexis Sanchez’ likely return date, though Santi Cazorla could be sidelined until March. Kieran Gibbs is back for the Gunners after missing the trip to Carrow Road with a calf complaint.

Micah Richards is a big doubt for Villa’s trip to Southampton – he’s hardly trained all week due to a knee problem. Gabby Agbonlahor is back in training whilst both Jose Angel Crespo and Tiago Ilori are still sidelined. Remi Garde has confirmed that Jack Grealish remains unavailable for first-team selection due to recent off-field issues. Elsewhere, Ciaran Clark serves a one-match suspension after earning a fifth yellow card of the season last weekend.

Slaven Bilic has conceded that the Hammers are set to be without Diafra Sakho for “a few games, definitely” after the Senegal international sustained a thigh injury during last week’s draw against West Brom.

Jermain Defoe and Seb Larsson have both been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to Arsenal, Sam Allardyce confirmed yesterday. Jack Rodwell is also unavailable for the Emirates encounter due to a hamstring problem.

Tony Pulis has revealed that West Brom will assess “one or two knocks and niggles” ahead of their home clash with Spurs. Claudio Jacob sits this one out through suspension, though Chris Brunt is back in contention after serving a one-match ban.

Ryan Mason has been ruled out with an ankle injury for Spurs’ trip to the Hawthorns. Dele Alli is available again after serving a one-match ban, whilst Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli are close to returning to training.

Swansea left-back Franck Tabanou is the only absentee ahead of their Liberty encounter with Leicester.

Quique Sanchez Flores will make a late assessment on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness after the keeper was forced off with a head knock last week. Valon Behrami remains sidelined for the Hornets, whilst Adlene Guedioura is expected to shrug off a minor knock. Sebastian Prodl has returned to training but will not be available in time for the visit of Norwich.

Alex Tettey has recovered from injury and has been passed fit for Norwich’s trip to Vicarage Road.

Leicester’s Ritchie de Laet has been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury sustained in training. Matty James stepped up his recovery from a long-term knee injury with a midweek run out for the reserves but is likely to miss out due to a lack of match fitness.

Cheick Tiote and Jamaal Lascelles are both unavailable for Newcastle’s home clash with Arsenal. Mike Williamson – who was recalled from a loan spell at Wolves to cover for Lascelles – has picked up a hamstring injury in training and is also ruled out.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Is Rojo > Toby worth it if I've got Bellerin, Moreno and VVD starting?

What to do with this lot? Defence badly needs fixing, I know - taking -4 to replace Rojo with Moreno. Anything else?

    Butland
    Rojo Naughton Delaney
    KDB Ozil Coutinho Mahrez
    Kun Lukaku Vardy

    Hennessey, Morgan, Gomez, Westwood

    1. Boz
      10 years, 11 months ago

Don't take a hit for GKs or Def. Just play Morgan, Swansea don't score many

    2. Amateur Pundit Zan

I think moreno will pay back the 4 pts quite quickly, worth doing imo

    3. Teddy Brewski
      10 years, 11 months ago

That defence needs sorting! Moreno for Rojo will be worth the hit over the next few weeks. Bench Delaney though imo

Gomez then needs to be given his marching orders next week! Zouma/Toby

    4. Sterling Chap
      10 years, 11 months ago

Wondering the same. Everybody saying don't take hit cos I have Dawson, but thinking LIV could really spank NEW with Moreno getting involved

It's out of Barkley and Mahrez for me (I originally wanted to bench KDB as nuts as that sounds but people talked me off it). I only got barkley and MNF so that's swaying me to mahrez, even though it pains me to do it as he could easily get a brace like he did away at west brom.

Just wanted 2nd opinion, I'm fine with 20 minutes from Costa 😉 if he's going to score, he will! Martial benched

    Any news on Cout yet?

If not, when is the presser?

Check hot topic. I think it's one of the late afternoon ones.

I personally don't think Ozil is a Captain option for this week.
With all the absences in Arsenal rank, it seems difficult.

Alexis use to create the spaces with his runs.. Cazorla with his long balls to cut out defensive lines. Coquelin in recuperation and second balls.

Only point that he can bring is set-piece, with Giroud header.

Two weeks ago I transferred out Mane to Ayew for a -4. Mane got 1 point and Ayew 13. Win for me.

I want to transfer Ayew out for a hit this week (Coutinho or Mane). Do I have the guts?

Enough beers in you will fix that

    Right, let's go mental.

    Current team:

    DDG -- Hennessey
    Coleman -- VvD -- Kolarov -- Koscielny -- Francis
    KdB -- Ozil -- Firmino -- BARKLEY** -- Mahrez
    LUKAKU** -- Vardy -- Ighalo

    COULD YOU IMAGINE....
    THE SCENES....
    THE ECSTASY...

    Lukaku + Barkley out.

Daniel Sturridge and David Silva in.

-4, 0.0 itb. Doubling up on City and Liverpool.

    Let me have it........

      Firmino out instead of barkley

Barkley out before/during his awesome fixtures?

new, WBA, wat, LEI, sun, WHM, ARS, MNU

CPL, nor, LEI, new, STO, TOT, mci, che

            Not much between them really.

      MNF Lukaku (C).

I do like the risky transfers.

Even against a Palace side that hasn't conceded more than 1 away all season?

Keep one of the everton players, I would keep Lukaku as we all know Sturridge could be out again next week and everton has nice fixtures but really like the Silva move but maybe it could be a bit much Silva and KDB

        I really don't want Barkley though... 😆

Its very risky taking lukaku out. He has such high ownership and is in great form. I think you should keep him this month and possibly transfer him out when the fixtures turn in Jan.

          1. Irish Madridista ⭐
            10 years, 11 months ago

Yup, hugely risky, and you're almost definitely right..

But Sturridge has such a good games to minutes ratio, when he plays he scores, and Liverpool have pretty sweeet fixtures (and FORM! 😀 )

We shall see, I might go mad, I might not. Hovering around 28k OR atm so...

    Defence is :

    Bellerin Bertrand Moreno Janmaat Richardson

From tomorrow (after deadline) I want a Spurs defender, would you prefer :

    A: Janmaat > Rose

    B: Bertrand > Toby

    * Asking now as I have exact money for 'B' so I'm monitoring those players potential rise/ fall tonight

    Current back 5 are

    Cedric Kolarov Francis Rojo* Saylor*

Its better to do Rojo > Moreno for a hit and hope it does payback soon?
