Romelu Lukaku saves Everton’s blushes by firing a late leveler at Goodison – his eleventh goal of the season. Palace’s Scott Dann scores for the third time this term as his side grabs a point to hold steady in sixth spot.

Lukaku Scoring Spree Continues

Romelu Lukaku struck in the 81st minute to restore parity as Everton secured a 1-1 home draw against Crystal Palace. The Belgian frontman brought up his half-ton for the Toffees with a close-range strike and also hit the woodwork twice – he now boasts six goals in five outings, having last drawn a blank back in Gameweek 10. Over 47% of all Fantasy managers have recruited Lukaku to their three-man strike forces and that percentage only looks set to bloom ahead of the Merseysiders’ excellent run (nor, LEI, new, STO) through to the New Year.

In an irksome turn of events for Gerard Deulofeu’s 3% ownership, Garry Barry earned the assist for Lukaku’s goal after he got a slight touch on the Spaniard’s low cross. Although Everton amassed eight goals in their last three match-ups, Deulofeu scooped a solitary assist and mustered zero attempts. Conversely, Ross Barkley chalked up three goals, two assists, nine attempts and five shots inside the box, rendering him the most alluring alternative – or accompaniment – to Lukaku.

Dann Nets Again

Scott Dann nodded home with 14 minutes left on the clock to bag his second goal in as many road ties and third of the campaign. The Eagles’ aerial dominance is illustrated by the fact that their proportion of goals from set pieces (45%) is the highest in the league – encouraging investment in the 5.3-priced centre-back. Alan Pardew’s outfit aren’t renowned for their defensive resolve, yet only three sides conceded fewer goals (five) over the last six Gameweeks, which bodes well for their clean-sheet prospects during a decent winter schedule (SOU, sto, bou, SWA).

Jason Puncheon etched his name onto the scoreboard with his third assist of the season. The 5.7-priced midfielder was a viable differential in the past two terms but has failed to net through the first 15 Gameweeks, despite carding just four fewer attempts (28 compared to 32) and one fewer shot inside the box (13 to 14) than Yannick Bolasie. The latter looks the prime route into Palace’s attack at present, given that he tallied three goals and five more shots on target (seven to two) than Yohan Cabaye over the last four Gameweeks.

Not wanting to take a hit for defence last week and thought Id stick with looked a bad bunch at the back.

    Butland
    Kol, Azpi, Janmaat
    Maherez, Haz, Ozil (C) KDB
    Lukaku, Vardy, Kane

Azpi no minutes brought on Francis. Janmaat and butlands clean sheets keep me top of my ML with some rivals benching Maherez.

Post your whole team, ft's and itb for us to be able to say anything meaningful. Otherwise you're better off just getting guys on the watchist.
MID and FWD looks ok. Personally I hate the Haz pick, but that's yours.
DEF looks baad. Azpi gets home/away rotated for 6M, Janmaat, get rid for moreno/dawson

        bench: westwood, francis, targett

I had one my FT did Sanchez - Haz gamble.

Each week its an injury or sspension that forcing my transfers. Have been waiting weeks to clear up defence and bench.
Contemplated a Janmaat/Moreno -4 last week but -4 dont usually work well.

Azpi had only failed to start one game all season. Easy to say that hes a rotation risk now though!

I'd agree on the first 3 anyway, Sturridge's issue being injury though he was poor when he came on at the weekend (readjusting and all that).

Barkley is just having one of those seasons and as for Roberto, I'm really not sure what the craic is there with him.

I'm more concerned for Firmino, came in for some very heavy criticism today.

Plus they no doubt need to rotate with the fixture list and so many players vying for positions. If Sturridge escapes injury/significant playing time midweek he should be in for a start at the weekend 🙂

With Lanzini out I need to replace my 5th mid, my current attack is this:-

    KdB - Ozil - Hazard - Mahrez - [?]
    Kane - Lukaku - Vardy

I have a decent defense and 3.5M in the back, so do you prefer:-

    (1) Go for another cheap mid saving potential Aguero money:
    a) King
    b) Gosling
    c) Ali
    d) another?

    (2) Go for a premium mid for Christmas rotation and hold off Aguero:
    e) Ramsey

    h) another?

Just putting this thought out their.

In my mini league, have seen leader make x3 transfers already this week (so already a -4). Checking his transfers it is quite easy to see a pattern re timing. So my my thought is:

If things get tight do you ever tactically try to throw those in your mini league with say a text etc - if you time it right I see as an excellent way to put a spanner in their team!!! I know this sounds a bit nasty and low down - but what if £1000 is at stake??? Its all about using the data that FPL site gives you.

A or E. I think you need 14 (15 the best) playable options during Christmas games.

Was all set to do Saylor>Moreno this week and sort my Xmas defence out, but I'm happy to play Simpson I think now and roll over the FT. Gives me the option of Benteke>Aguero and Mata>Coutinho next week, with the loose change left to upgrade Saylor or Nyom to Moreno. Though Nyom I'm more than happy with, maybe Saylor>Sunderland.

    Correct decision?

    Myhill
    Kolarov Bellerin Simpson
    Ozil Sterling Mata Mahrez
    Vardy Kane(c) Benteke

    Nyom Westwood Saylor

I'd save FT too. Your team looks solid and will be even better next week.

Tottenham has lost last 2 home league games vs Newcastle! That and recent Newc performance vs Liverpool means its not as a easy game for Spurs as people think it will be
