Gameweek 16 bids us farewell with a fascinating head-to-head between Leicester City and Chelsea at the King Power Stadium. No team has been able to prevent the Foxes scoring this season, yet the Blues – notwithstanding their loss against Bournemouth – have tightened up of late, carding four clean sheets in five outings across all competitions.

Over the previous four Gameweeks, Leicester ranked joint-top for goals scored (nine) and joint-second for big chances (nine), underlining the exceptional form of their attacking contingent. Claudio Ranieri’s unit complemented their offensive flair with defensive diligence during that stretch, conceding the joint fewest goals (two), fifth-fewest shots inside the box (23) and second-fewest big chances (three).

Although they conceded just two goals and claimed a couple of clean sheets in their previous four league ties, Chelsea suffered from their paucity of attacking returns. Only Bournemouth (70) tallied more attempts than the Blues (64) between Gameweeks 12-15, yet the champions converted their wealth of chances into the worst goal haul (one), fifth-worst shot accuracy (28.1%) and worst shot-conversion rate (1.6%) in the top-flight.
