Wednesday evening affords us another seven Premier League offerings after last night’s trio of fixtures kick-started Gameweek 21.

Man City welcome Everton to the Etihad, where the hosts have chalked up more shots on target (73) and goals (29) than any side in front of their own fans. That being said, Manuel Pellegrini’s men have conceded 12 goals on home turf and claimed just two clean sheets in the process. Although the Toffees’ defence conceded the second-most goals (eight) across the previous four Gameweeks, only two sides have shipped fewer goals on their travels (nine). They’ve fared well from an attacking perspective in away matches, too, ranking sixth for goals scored (13).

Chelsea look to stretch out their unbeaten streak to four matches when they play host to West Bromwich Albion. The Blues have offered more attacking threat since Jose Mourinho’s dismissal, ranking joint-top for goals (eight) and second for big chances (10) over the previous four Gameweeks. Additionally, they kept it tight at the back during that time frame, conceding just three goals and the second-fewest shots inside the box (22). As for the Baggies, they’ve recorded one shutout in their previous 10 outings and chart second-bottom for away goals (six).

Despite ranking top for attempts (78) and joint-third for shots inside the box (39) over the last four Gameweeks, Liverpool suffered from the worst shot accuracy (19.2%) and subsequently managed just two goals. As such, the Reds posted the second-worst shot-conversion rate (2.6%) around the league. Arsenal placed top for big chances (11) over the previous four Gameweeks and netted on five occasions, yet their hosts will draw encouragement from the fact that the Gunners shipped four goals in their last road clash.

At White Hart Lane, Tottenham welcome Leicester with the hosts ranked joint-top for goals (eight) and second for shots on target (22) over the last four Gameweeks. Moreover, Mauricio Pochettino’s troupe placed joint-bottom for goals conceded (four) and joint-second-bottom for big chances surrendered (two). Although the Foxes failed to score in their previous trio of fixtures, their rearguard came up trumps, conceding just three goals and recording two clean sheets. The East Midlands outfit will certainly fancy their chances of gracing the scoreboard, given that they chart top for goals scored in away matches (21).

Amongst the other matches, Southampton entertain a Watford side that’s winless in three matches, while Swansea City pit their wits against Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium as the home side look for a fourth clean sheets in five attempts. Stoke City and Norwich City do battle at the Britannia Stadium with hopes high of a Potters clean sheet. Mark Hughes’ men have three shut-outs in four at the Britannia, whilst the Canaries have failed to score in all but one of their previous four road trips.

I want to do McCarthy to Hennessey, but need to free up cash.

Defenders are Dier, Dann, Bellerin, Moreno and Wollscheid.

    Moreno to Simpson?

This GW was absolutely horrendous. When you try to play with your gut and bench the consistent players, you get burned. And when you bench the inconsistent ones (Ramsey), you get your arse whipped...

If you sold Dann, who would you sell him for (max 5.7m)?

Ballerin, Wollscheid, Alder, Simpson are the other defenders I have

Ok, so to rotate with Wollscheid. WBA-defender then. My choice would be Evans.

Alternatively: Cresswell, and play him day-in day-out.

I was thinking about Cresswell, but maybe Evans is a better pick, because it would enable me to do Silva > Sanchez.

He's certainly way cheaper, leaves you more money for Aguero captaincy fail. 😉

Atm, I'm preferring cheap defs, personally. That doesn't look to be the way to go, though.

It would look deadly to have an attacking line of:

              Sanchez Ozil Payet Mahrez Stanislas
              Aguero Kane Lukaku

I'd probably still get Williams, despite tonight. Or WBA-defender, depending on which one rotates better with your other defs. If you're directly replacing Dann in your rotation, then it's probably Williams.

Would you do Walcott ---------> Firmino for a draft league?

1FT with £1.3m ITB. Spend or save?

    Cech
    Simpson - Alder - Cresswell
    Mahrez - Payet - Ozil - KDB
    Kane - Kun - Ighalo
    (Hennessey - Alli - Wollscheid - Williams)

Probably shouldn't have posted this in the middle of the matches...

Starting my planning. With this as a starting point...

    Butland - Myhill
    Bellerin - Alderweireld - Moreno - Ward - Williams
De Bruyne - Özil - Payet - Mahrez - Alli
    Lukaku - Kane - Ighalo

What do you reckon to this?

    Williams & Ighalo > Simpson & Aguero

Think my Williams experiment has come to an end.

20 points on the bench between Targett and VVD, now that is unexpected!
