    My defence:

    DDG (liv) / McCarthy (mci)

    Zouma (EVE), Van Dijk (WBA), Kolarov (CRY), Morgan (avl), Dawson (sou).

    I have 0.7 ITB which I saved specifically to do Zouma or VVD (both 5.4) to Toby (6.1).

    However, my keepers are a bit of a mess so should I ditch the Toby idea and do DDG to Lloris?

          Problem with tinkering is you'll probably end up changing attackers just because you're on wildcard even though you might not really want to. It's tough and can see why it's tempting

        First question is will you make more points from your wc now or once we know the double gw's?

        Second question could possibly be what will new arrivals to the epl in the Jan transfer window do to your wc (new arrivals may make some of your choices poor due to lesser roles or maybe another option somewhere else being better).

          On the first point, it's complete guesswork at this point really. It could pay off to wait, it could be a non event of a DGW.

          On the second point, this is always a risk but I can't see many of the big teams making significant signings really.

            That's fair enough then. Personally I think the bench boost chip needs a wc before it to try and maximise it to its full potential. I am holding even though I'd love to play it.

            I must say I really don't like these new wc rules. Holding one wc over from the first half of the season took discipline and this Jan one was more or less a freebie that had to be used which was nice. I wasted the one before xmas when I would probably have held it if I could have used it in the second half of the season. I can see the early wc becoming a feature of the game every year now which is a pain for those who like to play a more measured game.

            So you reckon WC or take maybe a 4 point hit instead? The one thing I've learnt playing this game for so long is do not delay the inevitable. In previous seasons my team was a shambles in GW3 but I wanted to wait til international break GW4 to play WC - as a result, I dropped another 500k positions before playing the WC.

              I thought you were going to take a hit last night or the other day to get Payet in and ditch Rojo? I'd stick with that. I played my WC early this year, and then got absolutely shafted as things moved on very quickly and my WC team fell to pieces, and then I really needed another WC. I have been playing catch up ever since.

              Your team is not that bad- I would use the WC when your core is in trouble, not to just tidy up the edges. -8 point hit can be seen as a mini WC sometimes to sort that stuff out.

                  Of course, good point. I actually think your team is very good overall. If you hold off for the return of Sanchez, you might get a more effective use of the WC. Without a WC people are going to really struggle to get him into their teams. I suspect the template in a few weeks might have two cheaper forwards next to Aguero, and a loaded midfield 4 (Sanchez, Ozil, Payet, Man City cover).

              Well when you put it that way and you are so fed up with your team then play it.
              Only issue is that it's only 3 days until teams play again and not only do you miss price rises but a quick turn around on the GW to reassess.

              Players I am thinking of ditching are...
              KDB (though he has CPL this GW).
              Ozil (as I think Ars are about to have a lean spell)
              Mahrez (I think they are regressing offensively as they tire)
              Ighalo (His amazing shot accuracy was never going to last)
              Kane (Don't think he offers enough for his price and position)

        Can't afford to go without Payet though and defence needs at least 2 transfers IMO. I'd also rather have Kane in this week, than not and if he flops then it's not too hard to get rid of him for someone like Giroud.

      Doesn't tell the whole story I guess.

      I said on the Scoutcast last week that Leicester (19th) had only conceded 4 goals in 6 (something like that), yet weren't doing great stats wise.

      From watching them they look quite solid at the back. They're still way down that list but another clean sheet last night.

        The cs don't tell the whole story either though do they? They have been seriously lucky to get two of those three cs imo*. Looking at the stats even Schmeichel made 5 per game in two of those games. The only one they probably deserved was Bou but even at that I remember a couple of smashing chances for Bournmouth in those highlights.

        It certainly doesn't show the whole story but I do think shots conceded in the box is usually a decent gauge. Villa aren't bad for Big Chances conceded either, I wonder if there defence is a bit better than we think.

      I'm not sure the hit is the way to go.

      I'd lean towards C of the other two options, because there's a possibility that Newcastle will be involved in the DGW. (I'm a Liverpool fan, so assuming we will finish the job off against Stoke, needing only a draw at home)

          I was weighing up exactly this decision before I sold Williams. But I only did so to raise funds, and as Jonty said in the Scoutcast, I've not even got to me second sub this season.

          If it were my team I'd probably play Moreno (only because I felt obliged to as a Liverpool fan).

          With an impartial view... It's a coin flip to be honest. but Utd's attack seems to have improved lately, our defense is woeful, and Watford seem to have slowed in the last couple of weeks. I'd go for Williams
