Mesut Ozil is passed fit for Arsenal’s home clash with Chelsea, whilst Alexis Sanchez may also be available. Charlie Austin is in the Southampton squad for the trip to United, West Ham’s James Tomkins will be assessed as City roll up to Upton Park, whilst Mark Hughes will monitor Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring as the Potters make their way to Leicester.

Mesut Ozil is available for Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday after recovering from a foot injury. Alexis Sanchez is expected to be in contention this weekend, though Arsene Wenger has admitted he’s keen to minimise the risk to the Chilean, who has failed to feature since Gameweek 14 due to a hamstring complaint.

Charlie Austin has recovered from a hamstring problem and is in line to make his Southampton debut at United, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Graziano Pelle is a doubt once again, though, due to his ongoing knee injury.

Palace boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that Wayne Hennessey will retain his place between the posts for the visit of Tottenham, despite a couple of high-profile errors in the last two fixtures. Dwight Gayle is still sidelined with a hamstring problem – the forward has returned to training this week but Palace medical staff have advised Pardew against playing the striker.

James Tomkins will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s home clash with Man City, Slaven Bilic has confirmed. Joey O’Brien has recovered from injury and is available.

Geoff Cameron remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with Leicester due to an ongoing ankle complaint. Mark Hughes conceded he has “got to be careful” with Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring problem, whilst Xherdan Shaqiri is back in training and will be assessed.

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Ritchie de Laet is nursing a groin problem ahead of Leicester’s clash with Stoke. Matty James and Jeffrey Schlupp remain on the sidelines for the King Power showdown.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Vito Mannone will continue as Sunderland’s number one following the departure of Costel Pantilimon to Watford. Big Sam handed Jordan Pickford a chance against Spurs last weekend but will turn to the Italian once again for the visit of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has confirmed he will make late decisions on the availability of Matt Ritchie (dead leg) and Josh King (hamstring) for the trip to the Stadium of Light. Benik Afobe is expected to be fit for weekend trip to Sunderland , after being forced off with a knock last time out.

Saido Berahino has recovered from a midweek illness in time for West Brom’s home derby with Villa. Chris Brunt, Jonas Olsson and Darren Fletcher are all struggling to be fit, though, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Roberto Martinez reveals that James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are “progressing well” from injury, whilst Bryan Oviedo is fit and available for Everton’s home encounter with Swansea, after being forced off with a knock last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Sunderland wanted his wages gone but in terms of club I agree, very weird move to go to a team where he may not be number one.

Was forced out. He was on 49 appearances and one more triggered a clause in his contract which meant his deal improved. Was already on high wages and we're easing the bill for new signings.

Thanks, wasn't aware of the clause.

It's still weird he chose Watford, who had a settled no.1, so curious how it pans out.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    Best GWK 23 differential

Looking at fixtures and Rakkhi's excellent community article on predicting points it looks like Sunderland could be a great source of differential points this weekend. Defoe top scorer over the last four and PVA and Adam Johnson as well amongst January's surprise top scorers.

Who do you think will be a key differential in GWK 23?

Worth checking out Michael Caley's timeline: https://twitter.com/MC_of_A/media

He posted about 50 "expected goals" vs "actual goals" maps last night, roughly half of them are for Premier League players.

It's a great way of showing how clinical a player is being when shooting at goal, more info here: http://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/2015/4/10/8381071/football-statistics-expected-goals-michael-caley-deadspin

    Good morning ladies and gents...

    Butland (4)

    Alder / Bellerin / Moreno (Nyom/Smith)

KDB / Payet / Mahrez / Alli (Fletch)

    Aguero / Lukaku / Kane

    2mil itb and 1ft

Barkley seems like the obvious one to bring in but for Mahrez or Alli? Mahrez would leave me with money in the bank for next week?

Not sure why people are ditching KDB (i wanted too as well, but reconsidered).
Since he started playing in GW 5 and is the 6th highest scoring mid. Not sure who would you get for him (except sanchez) honestly. If you cant deal with 2-2-15-2-1-15 then i can understand that.

I sold him simply so I could keep Kane. It was either Kane to Aguero or KDB and Ighalo to Wijnaldum and Aguero.

I'm thinking of playing Daniels over Simpson, i've just got him in and might take a punt on his attacking potential vs Simpsons CS potential.

Stoke have lots of attacking threat, with or without Arnie, and could easily grab a goal.

    Play:

    A) Zouma (ars)
    or
    B) Dann (TOT)

Thinking Dann maybe but I guess both have equal goal threat.

Any enlightening thoughts? Am rolling my FT given the potential DGWs upcoming + also to mitigate injuries over Cup ties prior to next midweek round!

That's it. However, the skill to finish them is important too. You see there that Yaya guy who always outperforms the xG. And then that Theo guy who massively underperforms despite being served a big chance after another. There are guys who always outperform. Like Messi.

Another, well proven, STATHEAD THESIS is this:

Messi is pretty good at football.

        😉

Walcott usually outperforms xG and 39 shots is a VERY SMALL sample size

      The prediction's interesting too:

      https://twitter.com/MC_of_A/status/688793481930784768

Note: the winner is _always_ a club that outperform's its expectations, so the winner will most probably noticeably more points than 76, probably 90+, and it being so tight at the top between City and Arse, it can be either.

    Butland
    Rose Evans Huth
    Marhez KDB Ozil Wijnaldum
    Kane Lukaku Aguero

McCarthy Bellerin Stanislas Ward 0.3 ITB 2FT

    A) KDB ---> Barkely
    B) Bellerin ---> Baines/Jags
    C) KDB and Def ---> Barkley and Baines/Jags

Clean sheets are tough to predict so makes sense to go with a player with the possibility of attacking returns as well. It's why I got Ivanovic in and why I'm considering Koscielny too.
