Mesut Ozil is passed fit for Arsenal’s home clash with Chelsea, whilst Alexis Sanchez may also be available. Charlie Austin is in the Southampton squad for the trip to United, West Ham’s James Tomkins will be assessed as City roll up to Upton Park, whilst Mark Hughes will monitor Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring as the Potters make their way to Leicester.

Mesut Ozil is available for Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday after recovering from a foot injury. Alexis Sanchez is expected to be in contention this weekend, though Arsene Wenger has admitted he’s keen to minimise the risk to the Chilean, who has failed to feature since Gameweek 14 due to a hamstring complaint.

Charlie Austin has recovered from a hamstring problem and is in line to make his Southampton debut at United, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Graziano Pelle is a doubt once again, though, due to his ongoing knee injury.

Palace boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that Wayne Hennessey will retain his place between the posts for the visit of Tottenham, despite a couple of high-profile errors in the last two fixtures. Dwight Gayle is still sidelined with a hamstring problem – the forward has returned to training this week but Palace medical staff have advised Pardew against playing the striker.

James Tomkins will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s home clash with Man City, Slaven Bilic has confirmed. Joey O’Brien has recovered from injury and is available.

Geoff Cameron remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with Leicester due to an ongoing ankle complaint. Mark Hughes conceded he has “got to be careful” with Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring problem, whilst Xherdan Shaqiri is back in training and will be assessed.

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Ritchie de Laet is nursing a groin problem ahead of Leicester’s clash with Stoke. Matty James and Jeffrey Schlupp remain on the sidelines for the King Power showdown.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Vito Mannone will continue as Sunderland’s number one following the departure of Costel Pantilimon to Watford. Big Sam handed Jordan Pickford a chance against Spurs last weekend but will turn to the Italian once again for the visit of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has confirmed he will make late decisions on the availability of Matt Ritchie (dead leg) and Josh King (hamstring) for the trip to the Stadium of Light. Benik Afobe is expected to be fit for weekend trip to Sunderland , after being forced off with a knock last time out.

Saido Berahino has recovered from a midweek illness in time for West Brom’s home derby with Villa. Chris Brunt, Jonas Olsson and Darren Fletcher are all struggling to be fit, though, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Roberto Martinez reveals that James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are “progressing well” from injury, whilst Bryan Oviedo is fit and available for Everton’s home encounter with Swansea, after being forced off with a knock last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Mahrez has a stay of execution, simply because there's no one else I want in that price bracket. Vardy went long ago.

Though Mahrez is likely to be on my bench for the foreseeable.

          Absolutely this.

...Although I'm forced into playing him this week. No way I'm selling him.

I'm still tempted to play him, despite his form, just because those early season memories linger. Trying to stay strong.

Who's the other option? Mine was Arnautovic which was made easy for me..

I'd play both Alli + KdB over Mahrez.

Hmm... brutal away form vs Mahrez overall poor form...

That's literally 50/50.. Although Wij has a slightly easier fixture..

Sorry Doo, I'd play Mahrez between the two purely for higher upside/explosiveness/ownership. Not what ya wanted to hear!

If you believe in Wij then go for it 🙂

What about his second, third, fourt.....too late chance gone

        1. The Raging Bull
          10 years, 9 months ago

This is the problem. The reason he takes the extra touches is because he has poor peripheral vision. Great players have this, hence their reaction times are quicker and make their movement or pass to their team mates much earlier.

Anyone else going with Jags instead of Baines, even though they can afford either?

Just not convinced he's attacking enough to warrant the 1.1m difference

    1. S.Kuqi

Would any of you wildcard this now or hold out and see if there is a DGW on the horizon?

    Butland (Ruddy)
    Azpi, Toby, Moreno (Janmaat, Francis)
    KDB, Ozil, Mahrez, Alli (Arnie)
    Aguero, Kane, Igalho

Could have something like this instead..
    Butland, Rudd
    Sagna, Toby, Moreno Targett, Daniels
    KDB, Ozil, Mahrez, Alli Gosling
    Aguero, Kane, Lukaku

Or 5.1 Def instead of Sagna will give me a 5.1 5th Mid

So tempted to use WC as well... My team atm:

      Lloris (Butland)
Wollcheid - Moreno - Bellerin (Cresswell, VVD)
KDB - Ozil - Mahrez - Alli (Stanislas)
      Aguero - Kane - Ighalo

1FT and 0,5m ITB and no clue what to do. Any ideas? Tempted on doing Ighalo, KDB -> Lukaku, Firmino/Barkley -4 or something else dramatic to ease the pain 😀

        Were in a similar boat.
Seems the fixs are too good to sail without Lukaku. Its would take more than -4 for me to get Lukaku in for Igalho so prob hold out and see whos in line for the DGW.

    Schmeichel - Mahrez - Dann - Gosling

I know I need to remove some funds from defense next few weeks but for this week to I play Azpi? or bench him for one of the three on the bench?

Thanks for the reply it is the sensible option with the lack of CS's and Ozil back and maybe Sanchez

So Arsenal fans, what can you read in-between Wenger's lines?

Will Alexis start? or just enter the game in 2nd half of just stay on the bench all the game long?

    1. The Wise Owl
      10 years, 9 months ago

He'll probably either start or be on the bench. I'm hoping he doesn't start, I don't want him to be out injured again.

I think he'll come on from the bench.

How come no one is pushing Henderson here? Has been very close to scoring lately and creates a lot of chances. Plus Hendo is the penalty taker and takes some set-pieces. He has also good fixtures and a possible DGW.

Still scarred by the Pool DGW at the end of last season.

For me it's as simple as he hasn't got the points yet. Lamela has been close to scoring plenty of times but has yet to back it up consistently.

    3. The Wise Owl
      10 years, 9 months ago

He's just come back from injury I think, but he could be a good option if he's more consistent.

There are so many other good options. But if the DGW is confirmed, he could be a good pick.

    Current team:

    Butland/Hennesey
    Bellerin, Alderweireld, Fuchs, Wollsheid, Francis
    KDB, Özil, Payet, Mahrez, Anya
    Giroud, Lukaku, Kane

I got 2FTs and 3,3m ITB but I really don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

All set for this week? Agree with my starting defenders?

    ______DDG
    Bellerin Dawson Simpson
    Ozil KDB Alli Mahrez
    Lukaku Aguero Kane

    Hennessey - Stanislas - Sagna - Walker

    1FT & 0.9 ITB.

I just feel that Palace are vastly overdue a goal, hence benching Walker..

Lukaku has scored 5 in evertons 4 games at home to bottom half opposition, failing to record any attacking points in only 1 (chelsea).

Agüero has 1 goal in 5 away games for man city.

      The sensible choice is Lukaku.

Who is likely to get more points?

    A- Giroud + Yaya + 4 points
    B- Aguero + Alli
