So I did it. After a couple of weeks attempting to resist Sergio Aguero and, despite meticulously constructing a convincing case to avoid him, I went back on my word.

Recovering from the dramatic climb-down, I felt rather hollow heading into this ScoutCast, with Jonty, Andy and Luke all too keen to watch on while I tucked into humble pie.

Not surprisingly, I spend a good part of this episode justifying the back tracking, before I join my co-hosts in offering views on another bout of community questions. We discuss the Lukaku exit plans, Ozil vs Sanchez and contemplate options between the sticks with Jack Butland losing his shine.

Then we move on to the Gameweek preview, as I desperately try to find some joy in pondering which mid-price defender to sign heading into Saturday’s deadline. Sigh.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live on Wednesday evening via our YouTube channel.

You can view the full version via the larger player below, or soak up the more refined audio version via this link or the smaller player.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for updates on new episodes.

NB: apologies in advance for Luke’s sound quality. We discovered a technical problem after the recording was completed. If you’re struggling to decipher what he’s saying, just imagine him agreeing with everything I say.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Reckon there'll be a "bounce" factor in this game; a comfy 2-0 for Liverpool imo. After all, Liverpool have an absolutely fantastic head to head record against them.

you think Firmino will score? he's terribly inconsistent and his head drops when things aren't going so well.

Hoping Bull, hoping! I'm not his greatest fan but I'm basing my captaincy on some serious pro-Liverpool stats in this fixture.

Not a fan either and I was there to pick up his 18pts, since then the two games he's played he's looked poor.

You placing the armband on him?

I know man, 4 blanks in a row is testing my patience but just don't see a better solution (have Kun & Kane) for the next 2 GWs. Intended to rid for Vardy in GW27 but may do it sooner but City and Arsenal away is the worst possible fixtures over the next 2.

The price of fans demanding ever more expensive players with greedy agents and ludicrous wage demands.

Football needs to start paying on a performance basis. If players win games then get the full wage, otherwise it should be much lower.
It might stop a few just ambling about playing out their vast contracts.

    Mahrez - Silva - Payet
    Austin - Lukaku

    In case Lukaku is fit:

    A) Ozil and Deeney to Firmino and Vardy
    B) Arnautovic and Deeney to Alli and Vardy
    C) Keep Arnautovic and bench Deeney

    A, B or C?

Is it crazy to use bench boost in GW27? My only blanks are Aguero and Wijnaldum who I can transfer to Vardy and Mahrez.

    Would leave me with
    Butland(AVL) Forster(CHE)
    Toby(SWA) Bellerin(mun) Cresswell(SUN) Simpson(NOR) Daniels (wat)
    Ozil(mun) Sanchez(mun) Payet(SUN) Alli(SWA) Mahrez(NOR) Kane(SWA) Vardy(NOR) Ighalo(BOU)

Would still just have enough to get Aguero back for Ighalo. Thoughts on the idea?

I've bought tickets from around the stadium coming from London, it's rare you find two tickets seating together so if you are prepare to watch the game not with your mate then maybe you have a chance. Worst case there's the pubs around great atmosphere.

Oh one more things a few fans will be leaving the stadium at 77th mins in protest agains tickets price increase - funny enough so you may be able to ask someone to give you his ticket!

***Wildcard activated*** How is it coming along folks?

    Forster Mcarthy
    Toby Daniels Cresswell Fonte Simpson
    Alli Payet Mahrez Ozil Sanchez
    Kun kane vardy

    1.8 ITB. Thinking:

Simpson to Fuchs, will leave me 1.2 ITB
    Payet to Firmino, 1.1 itb
    Toby to Azpi
and Finally Mcarthy to a keeper that rotates well aith Forster.

    Thoughts?

Yh i would want a chelsea def on a WC. Fonte>Azpi/Ivan would be may call. Yh i might spend the extra money on Fuchs considering the rest of the team already looks great.

Unsure on how to use my transfer this week. 2FTs 0.3itb. Am chasing ML leaders.

    Lloris
    Bellerin Cresswell Williams
    Sanchez Ozil Payet Alli
    Aguero Kane Vardy

    Rudd | Mahrez Targett Simpson

Open to a short term punt involving Vardy or Payet...Wijnaldum/Austin/Paloschi or others you recommend? Lloris>Forster maybe? Was planning to ship Ozil after this gameweek but he and Sanchez both looked very dangerous against saints....double up a gd idea for longer term?

4 blanks in his last 5?

5 blanks in his last 6 if you consider a 5 pointer a blank.

Don't see how that matters massively, only important thing is he's looking sharp and still getting chances.

assuming you have Ighalo or you wouldn't have asked so I'll say Afobe.

Just logging in to check up on Balders. I caught up on last night's discussion that he'd broken his metatarsal. Any news from the lad?

      GW34 and GW37

Arsenal and Man Utd games are very likely to be blanks in GW30.
