The top two teams in the Premier League get Gameweek 25 underway this weekend as Manchester City welcome league leaders Leicester to the Etihad. Tottenham look to boost their top-four credentials with a fourth straight win as Watford roll up to White Hart Lane, whilst Southampton seek a fifth successive shut-out as West Ham pay visit to St Mary’s.

Sunday’s pair of fixtures involves a couple of the current top five. Arsenal make their way to Bournemouth, with Arsene Wenger’s side looking to end a run of three goalless league matches, before champions Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in a late 4pm kick-off.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet, it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring system. The players’ prices were originally identical to those of the official game but have now been updated, with players such as Riyad Mahrez and Mesut Ozil now costing 1m more to include in our squads.

This week, FantasyBet are offering a Triple Up Promo – essentially, they will give new sign-ups twice their deposit as a bonus.

Check out this video to see how team creation works.

MY TEAM

Fraser Forster (4.5m)
Alberto Moreno (5m)
Virgil Van Dijk (5.5m)
Toby Alderweireld (5.5m)
Georginio Wijnaldum (6.5m)
Sadio Mane (7.5m)
Roberto Firmino (8m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Jamie Vardy (7.5m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Fraser Forster: The Southampton number one’s return from injury has been instrumental to a run of form that has chalked up four straight clean sheets. Forster defied Arsenal with 10 saves at the Etihad on Tuesday and will need to be at his best to nullify West Ham’s in-form attack at St Mary’s tomorrow evening.

Toby Alderweireld: Tottenham’s centre-half offers a strong chance of points at both ends of the pitch this weekend. Alderweireld – who has already produced two goals and three assists – welcomes a Watford side that have failed to score in each of their last two road trips.

Roberto Firmino: The Brazilian looks the man most likely to do the damage as Liverpool host struggling Sunderland at Anfield. Firmino has bagged a brace in two of the last four Gameweeks and will fancy his chances against a Black Cats’ side that boasts the worst away defensive record in the top-flight.

Harry Kane: Four goals and an assist in his last three appearances suggests Kane will be a viable captaincy alternative to Sergio Aguero this week. At home to a Watford defence with a single shut-out in seven, he’ll be confident of adding to his 15 goal-haul so far.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always, the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the free-rolls – there is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and flash formats.

There’s a Double-Up game for £3.30 entry with a guaranteed prize pool of £120, and also FantasyBet’s biggest weekly game, the Grand Saturday, where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy in. Multiple entries are available in both.

LAST WEEK

I won £9 in the big midweek pot despite a 59th-placed finish from 70 points – Harry Kane (13 points), Christian Eriksen (11 points) and Aaron Creswell (nine points) were the main contributors. God got first place, captaining Kane and selecting Ross Barkley were the key decisions in a 90-point team. Some other small wins leave me on just under £170.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering the Saturday Double-up, the Grand contest, the free-rolls, the FFScout Picks League and will also have a go at a qualifier to try and win entry into the double grand pot coming up in GW28. This sets me back a total outlay of £10.45.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Beavis, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Lateriser12 topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 93 points that included six players that scored nine points or more – Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson were his top performers. Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League – with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

One assist in last 7 would suggest he is. But for his price you can't go wrong for fodder.

    Hi all... Apart from "Bane from Batman" (Thanks Bane) I got no response from previous. So here we go again;

Currently sitting on 2FTs (0.1 itb)... Don't see any pressing issues with my team but would like to not burn a transfer this week, so if poss, try and free up some funds for future planning. Defence a priority.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
    Henn - Elliot
    Kosc - Cress - Dier - Dawson - Simpson
    Alexis - Ozil - Payet - Mahrez - Alli
    Kun - Kane - Ighalo
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    Suggestions appreciated and welcome,

I don't think he'll start. 2 cleanies in a row and Martinez said he wanted to take the Carlisle CS into the Newcastle game which sort of suggests he won't change it. It's anybody's guess though really.

He will almost certainly have Aguero captain, whereas if I get Sanchez he will be my captain.

I'm doing Sanchez. I'm 50 pts behind in my ML. Leader does NOT have Sanchez in my case.

BUT, of your ML leader is doing a blocking strategy, you only have captaincy as your differentiator.
Try to make sure you have differentiators elsewhere.

Do NOT take hits if you're chasing.

      Hope that helps!

Who to bring in to fund getting Sanchez?

    A) Schmeichel. Will mean no Vardy in GW27 (triple LEI)
    B) Elliot. Then Lukaku -> Vardy in GW27 is possible

You can install a Start Menu file that makes it looks like Windows without tiles which 8 & 10 are.

    10 years, 25 days ago

Still see many, selling players to avoid a .1 loss and buying to get in before a rise.

That policy may have been the way earlier in the season.

But if rank is what you are chasing TV becomes irrelevant now..
Many an overall winner has had moderate TV.
Dont obsess gents. Every price change see guys getting super excited that they avoided the drop.
Go for points , forget price changes , thoughts ?

Agree, but not at all costs. Most seasons are the same.
Every season on here , see posts of . Damn had so much money to spend chose X over Y .

Y was the obvious choice , Guys with smaller TVs were the beneficiaries

When I said it's nice to get a little extra cash, I was talking about the point you made of people getting excited that they avoided the drop. After you've made the transfer it's nice that you made cash on the trade, but I wouldn't let price changes influence my decision at this stage of the season, unless I could only just afford it.

Depends. If my plan to get Sánchez next week depends on not losing a 0.1 this week then I'll make an early transfer to avoid the drop. If I can suck up a 0.1 loss then no problems. Everyone is in a different situation.

But I have realised one thing. When we have a player falling in value and try to post here or anywhere else that stop selling and wait for more news, then this alerts more people and more people become concerned and then sell him. Posting about price-rise-fall temptations becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy in this case.

Agree, unless you need to do the move before a drop or you can't afford it.

I let 0.1 drops/rises force my hand a few times on transfers this season and didn't really get burned, but now my TV and SVs are both high, I'm not too worried about losing 0.1 here and there.

Lukaku looks set to drop again tonight, but I'm holding him (makes it a 0.2 loss this GW) as he'll be shipped for Vardy after GW26 so price doesn't really matter.
