The top two teams in the Premier League get Gameweek 25 underway this weekend as Manchester City welcome league leaders Leicester to the Etihad. Tottenham look to boost their top-four credentials with a fourth straight win as Watford roll up to White Hart Lane, whilst Southampton seek a fifth successive shut-out as West Ham pay visit to St Mary’s.

Sunday’s pair of fixtures involves a couple of the current top five. Arsenal make their way to Bournemouth, with Arsene Wenger’s side looking to end a run of three goalless league matches, before champions Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in a late 4pm kick-off.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet, it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring system. The players’ prices were originally identical to those of the official game but have now been updated, with players such as Riyad Mahrez and Mesut Ozil now costing 1m more to include in our squads.

This week, FantasyBet are offering a Triple Up Promo – essentially, they will give new sign-ups twice their deposit as a bonus.

Check out this video to see how team creation works.

MY TEAM

Fraser Forster (4.5m)
Alberto Moreno (5m)
Virgil Van Dijk (5.5m)
Toby Alderweireld (5.5m)
Georginio Wijnaldum (6.5m)
Sadio Mane (7.5m)
Roberto Firmino (8m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Jamie Vardy (7.5m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Fraser Forster: The Southampton number one’s return from injury has been instrumental to a run of form that has chalked up four straight clean sheets. Forster defied Arsenal with 10 saves at the Etihad on Tuesday and will need to be at his best to nullify West Ham’s in-form attack at St Mary’s tomorrow evening.

Toby Alderweireld: Tottenham’s centre-half offers a strong chance of points at both ends of the pitch this weekend. Alderweireld – who has already produced two goals and three assists – welcomes a Watford side that have failed to score in each of their last two road trips.

Roberto Firmino: The Brazilian looks the man most likely to do the damage as Liverpool host struggling Sunderland at Anfield. Firmino has bagged a brace in two of the last four Gameweeks and will fancy his chances against a Black Cats’ side that boasts the worst away defensive record in the top-flight.

Harry Kane: Four goals and an assist in his last three appearances suggests Kane will be a viable captaincy alternative to Sergio Aguero this week. At home to a Watford defence with a single shut-out in seven, he’ll be confident of adding to his 15 goal-haul so far.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always, the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the free-rolls – there is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and flash formats.

There’s a Double-Up game for £3.30 entry with a guaranteed prize pool of £120, and also FantasyBet’s biggest weekly game, the Grand Saturday, where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy in. Multiple entries are available in both.

LAST WEEK

I won £9 in the big midweek pot despite a 59th-placed finish from 70 points – Harry Kane (13 points), Christian Eriksen (11 points) and Aaron Creswell (nine points) were the main contributors. God got first place, captaining Kane and selecting Ross Barkley were the key decisions in a 90-point team. Some other small wins leave me on just under £170.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering the Saturday Double-up, the Grand contest, the free-rolls, the FFScout Picks League and will also have a go at a qualifier to try and win entry into the double grand pot coming up in GW28. This sets me back a total outlay of £10.45.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Beavis, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Lateriser12 topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 93 points that included six players that scored nine points or more – Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson were his top performers. Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League – with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

this navas injury is actually quite interesting imo. with nasri and KdB out too they effectively only have 2 natural wide options in sterling and silva. possible winners:

    1) ear nacho. they might go 442 more often now.
    2) delph, more starts.
    3) yaya in the hole maybe.
    4) kolarov OOP? sterling has been used up front in a 442 like formation before vacating the left wing role.

Likeliest scenarios would see silva and sterling on the wings, yaya in the hole.
Or Kolarov on the wing, silva hole with yaya CM

There's just so many better options than him even if Leicester are suited to playing City. Aguero, Kane, any Arsenal player are all a class above Vardy this week.

Since Stoke vs Saints in GW 30 .
would you rather get Butland or Forster ?
And any news on how long Shawcross is out for ? I expect Stoke to be tighter in defence now Imbula is signed ..
Personally, would rather Butland + Sot defender than Forster + Stoke defender .
    thoughts ??

I swapped Butland for Forster in GW23. No Stoke defenders, so I'd rather Forster. He is class regardless what's in front of him.

He's just a very attack minded defender, I'd like to think it won't last forever but Big Sam has obviously given him license to bomb forward so no reason he won't keep getting attacking returns, just a shame they always concede.

I'm really hoping Arnautovic gets back into form, he could be such a key player with Stoke's nice fixtures and lack of blanks in GW27 and GW30.

Shhhh, he's a great little transfer.

Had a slight strain which curtailed his form but should pick up where he left off when recovered.

Does Cedric look like a safe choice now? If not, who would be the best pick from the Soton def?

      VVD/Bertrand/Fonte

      I'm unsure about Cedric.

        Cheers!

I thought Cedric was playing wing-back in a 3-5-2 these days, but he might be at risk of losing his place if they switch back to a 4-4-2...

With these blanks coming up, I cannot afford to bring in a player that will be benched.

Yes, Koeman does tend to tinker with the squad. I've gone with VVD.

No, he was awful for me. Consistent rotation threat and always dropped for the CS. I think I would pay the the money for VVD/ Bertie if I wanted a saints def.
