After a one-week hiatus, we’re back troubling Paddy Power for their view on where the goals will be scored and denied across the Gameweek fixtures.

Before we check in on their latest odds, those without a Paddy Power account should take time to scan an array of weekend offers focused on a feast of football.

They begin with today’s early kick-off, with Paddy offering up big odds of 6/1 on a home win for Slaven Bilic’s West Ham over Sunderland.

The weekend acca is covered by a deal pushing odds of 22/1 on wins for Leicester City (vs Norwich), Chelsea (at Southampton) and Real Madrid (vs Atletico Madrid).

On Sunday Paddy are presenting a North London double with enhanced odds of 12/1 on wins for both Tottenham (vs Swansea) and Arsnal (at Man United). While in the Wembley showpiece, you can get 10/1 on a Liverpool victory, or odds of 9/1 on Man City to claim the Capital One Cup.

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

Jamie Vardy – who ranks top among all players for “transfers in” (264,000) heading into the Fantasy Pemier League deadline – has been pitched at 1.83 ahead of Leicester City’s home clash against Norwich City, as the favourite to notch in the Gameweek. Paddy’s reckoning is quick to confirm the findings of the Captain Poll, then, reinforcing Vardy’s case for the armband.

The league’s top scorer has netted four goals in as many outings and will enjoy challenging a Canaries defence that’s shipped 12 goals in their previous quartet of fixtures. In light of the contrasting form of these two sides, Riyad Mahrez (2.40), Shinji Okazaki (2.40) and Leonardo Ulloa (2.50) are also handed short odds by Paddy.

Having broken his nose during Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, Harry Kane (1.90) is a doubt for Swansea’s visit on Sunday. Nonetheless, Kane is expected to start and will fancy his chances against a Swans rearguard that has recorded just one clean sheet in seven match-ups.

Considering that he has mustered one goal in seven starts, it’s somewhat surprising to see that Odion Ighalo (2.20) charts third in our assessment. That being said, Watford enjoy a favourable home encounter against a Bournemouth unit that have conceded five goals across their past two Gameweeks.

Despite contending with an ankle injury, Enner Valencia is pitched at 2.29 for West Ham United’s home clash with Sunderland. Emmanuel Emenike is likely to claim the lone-striker slot after bagging a brace against Blackburn Rovers and the Nigerian’s odds of 2.87 for an anytime goal look rather generous.

Olivier Giroud and Diego Costa are both valued at 2.62 for their respective road trips. The former is in the midst of five successive blanks but will take some encouragement from United’s growing list of injury casualties which may include the absence of Chris Smalling in Sunday’s encounter.

As for Costa, he has drawn just two blanks in his last seven starts as Chelsea make the trip to Southampton. The Saints will go into that game off the back of six consecutive clean sheets and will provide a stern test for the confident Costa.

Tottenham (1.83) are the favourites to earn a clean sheet in this round of fixtures ahead of their White Hart Lane meeting with Swansea City. Spurs have shipped just nine goals in front of their own fans in 13 home matches but will face a Swans outfit somewhat revived under Francesco Guidolin – they’ve failed to score in just one of their last seven league outings.

Stoke City’s odds have increased slightly overnight, from 1.90 out to 2.10 with news of absentees proving the likely factor in Paddy’s reassessment. Nonetheless, they remain second favourites to clam a shut-out against an Aston Villa side who have failed to score in three of the last four Gameweeks.

With five clean sheets to their name in eight outings, Leicester can be backed at 2.25 before Norwich’s visit. Alex Neil’s struggling side have scored just once in their last four away trips.

As for West Ham (2.40), they’ll do well to stifle a Sunderland attack that’s scored seven goals in their previous trio of road clashes.

Having recorded shut-outs in their last two away matches, Arsenal (2.70) look well placed to frustrate Man United’s embattled forward line. Meanwhile, Paddy appear to be tipping a potential 0-0 stalemate at the Hawthorns with both West Brom (2.80) and Crystal Palace (2.75) both priced keenly for clean sheets.

Despite claiming six consecutive shut-outs, Ronald Koeman’s Southampton are out at 3.10 for a seventh in today’s meeting with a revived Chelsea. Indeed, Guus Hiddink’s side are favoured slightly more strongly than the Saints, rounding off our table with odds of 3.00.

    Morning all,
All set to captain Mahrez over Vardy. Compared the two in the comparison tool and did not think the results would be so one sided..

Gut feeling over stats or vice versa?

Can't see VVD getting CS and attacking potential has been slim recently. Daniels is on penalties, good attacking potential and possible CS. Arsenal are going to destroy that Utd defence IMO and Bellerin always has that chance for assists, plus UTD very weak at the minute and will struggle to score.

Some people class anything where theres competition and skill a sport.
Lack of physicality or fitness means bothing to them.

Ive seen it argued on here that golf, darts, F1 and virtual sports (playing FIFA) are all sports

Esports is a completely different category because its virtual .
The non- virtual ones like chess and carrom, golf etc should be games . No physical activities ,
Players are not athletes , hardly any injuries .

    A: Firmino >> Arnautovic

    Vardy - Kane (Kun)

    Firmino to Erikson (-4)

Currently have 11, no subs, but can drop stanislas to the bench with the transfer
