Gameweek 29’s last hurrah finds West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United doing battle at The Hawthorns. The Baggies were defeated just once in their last six outings, while the Red Devils’ injection of youth has seen them fend off Arsenal and Watford in the past seven days.

West Brom chalked up six goals over the last four Gameweeks, despite ranking joint-bottom for attempts (34), joint-second-bottom for shots inside the box (20) and joint-second bottom for shots on target (nine). The underlying statistics fail to paint a positive picture with respect to the Baggies’ clean-sheet potential, considering that they allowed the most shots inside the box (53) and the second-most big chances (11).

Man United place in the middle of the pack in terms of their attacking output across the previous four Gameweeks, having carded six goals and the tenth-most attempts (50). As for the visitors’ defensive productivity, West Brom could prey on the fact that Louis van Gaal’s side ranked fourth for shots inside the box conceded (43) and joint-third for big chances conceded (10). They’ll also be aware that United have emerged victorious in just one of their last seven road clashes.

Having felt quite well prepared for GW30 im now struggling.
Need to swap out Payet/Ozil to get another mid in the team.

    Whats best?
    A) Payet/Ozil > Alli and Stanislas > Arnie for a -4
    B) Payet/Ozil > Eriksen for free
    C) Just Payet/Ozil > Alli for free
    D) Payet/Ozil > Alli and BWjackson > Toby for a -4

    Please choose a letter, thanks.

I'd like to avoid unnecessary hit.

So, B or C for me.

Would mean only 10 players tho, and one of them is Targett

In the worst case, it could be 9 players.

A hit is worth then, I think A is more likely to return points to offset the hits.

Siggy will get price rise tonight. Should I get him or just ignore him and go for Silva/Yaya ?

4-3-3 for GW30 (in case of Arsenal won the replay)

    Butland
    Fuchs - Kompany - VVD - Toby
    Mahrez - Alli - Arnie
    Vardy - Kane - Kun

    Bench: Hennessey, Payet, Ozil, Bellerin

        I have 2 FTs.

I'd like to use 1 if it helps to strengthen points.

Depends when you WC Hennessey is an issue although not this week

Siggy for Alli or Arnie seems a bit sideways

Yeah. Siggy has form but, frankly, I haven't been confident with Swansea attacks.

My options are selling Arnie -> Silva or upgrading Alli - Eriksen.

            The latter looks sideways though.

            Is Robles nailed for Everton?

Hennessey -> Robles will give me at least 2 DGWs.

If you can afford Silva/Yaya surely you can afford Siggy

      1. NATSTER
        • 15 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Yes, I can afford him at 7.2m

But if I bought him at 7.1m, I will have enough fund to upgrade Alli -> Eriksen too.

I see. If you do that it'll be typical if arsenal loses against hull in the replay 🙂

Everyone who didn't play this week plus City, Newcastle, Liverpool and Everton.

Plus any FA cup semi-finalists and their opponents in GW35.

According to FPL Discovery, 60% of the top 10k have played Bench Boost and 50% have played Triple Captain.

Didn't think it would be anywhere near that high, must be plenty of teams in there that are going to fall big time if the doubles are fruitful.

One caveat is that their being there means their chip-usage was successful. We might only match or do worse with ours, if they handle the WC and DGWs without chips well.

We also have a decent chance though. Fingers crossed.
