While the FA Cup has taken a bite out of our Gameweek programme, we’re still clinging to the five remaining fixtures in hope that they can fuel a respectable points tally. Once again, with just a couple of hours to go before deadline, it is time to turn to Paddy Power for some last minute inspiration.

Before we asses their odds for Anytime Goalscorer and Clean Sheets, those without a Paddy Power account should be aware of another round of tempting offers on show from our bookmaker friends.

Paddy’s European Acca rolls out big odds of 25/1 on wins for Southampton (at Stoke), Everton (vs Chelsea in the FA Cup) and Atletico Madrid (vs Deportivo). If you fancy that Everton win, you can also get enhanced odds of 10/1 on the Toffees prevailing over Chelsea – the regular odds are 19/10 on that result.

Moving to Sunday’s matches and Paddy have another acca lined up – again it presents odds of 25/1 on wins for West Ham (vs Man United), Spurs (at Aston Villa) and Real Madrid (at Las Palmas).

Finally, in Monday night’s televised King Power clash, you can get a healthy 5/1 on a Leicester win over Rafa Benitez’ Newcastle – the regular odds on that bet were 8/13.

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

Fresh from scoring his third brace in seven outings, City’s Sergio Aguero (1.61) once again sits at the summit of Paddy’s anytime scorer reckoning.

Considering that Manchester City travel to face a Norwich City outfit that’s failed to record a clean sheet in nine outings, it is hardly surprising that 57% of FFScout’s readership have elected to hand the Argentine hitman the captain’s armband this Gameweek. Paddy are clearly backing that decision and are tipping a ready supply of goals for Aguero and co, with Wilfried Bony (2.40), Kelechi Iheanacho (2.40), Raheem Sterling (2.60) and even David Silva (3.20) all featuring amongst the lowest odds on show.

Despite drawing blanks in four of his previous five starts, Jamie Vardy (1.83) is fancied to find the target when Newcastle United pay a visit on Monday evening. In the wake of Steve McClaren’s dismissal and Rafael Benitez’s appointment at St James’ Park, the Magpies could play with a renewed purpose, lending this match-up a new perspective. Nonetheless, the likes of Riyad Mahrez (2.20), Leonardo Ulloa (2.40) and Shinji Okazaki (2.40) have also been afforded short odds by Paddy with the bookmaker still favouring a convincing win for Claudio Ranieri’s league leaders.

Tipped at 1.90, Tottenham’s Harry Kane offers good value when you consider that he played fewer than 20 minutes in midweek and is pitted against an Aston Villa defence that has surrendered 15 goals in their previous quartet of league clashes. Moreover, Kane is known to flourish on the road, having scored in three of his last four away trips, notching four goals in the process. Spurs’s midfield talent also figures highly in Paddy’s odds, with Dele Alli (2.87), Heung-Min Son (2.87) and Christian Eriksen (2.87) all given identical odds to find the net at Villa Park.

Southampton and Graziano Pelle (2.70) figure next in our table, with the Italian striker rated as the most likely to break the deadlock at the Britannia as Stoke host Ronald Koeman’s stuttering side. Cited as a battle for European places, Paddy appear to have this billed this as a tight affair, with Southampton’s strikers slightly favoured. Shane Long (3.20) joins a cast of would-be Stoke scorers in the table, with Marko Arnautovic just out of our reckoning on 3.40.

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 30

TeamOdds
Tottenham1.90
Manchester City2.10
Bournemouth2.25
Leicester City2.37
Stoke City2.80
Southampton2.80
Swansea4.00
Newcastle6.00
Aston Villa6.00
Norwich6.50

Given that Aston Villa have registered four blanks in the last seven Gameweeks, Paddy have understandably pinpointed Tottenham (1.90) as the big favourites to claim a Gameweek shut-out. Man City’s defence (2.10) are also heavily backed, which has more to do with their opponents Norwich City having failed to find the net in four of their last six league outings.

By virtue of the fact they conceded a solitary goal in their last trio of fixtures, Bournemouth (2.25) occupy the bronze-medal berth in our leaderboard before their home tie against Swansea City. Leicester (2.37) are ranked next as their defence prepares to face a Benitez-inspired Newcastle attack that has tallied just three goals in five matches and has notched just seven away from home all season.

Further down the clean-sheet analysis, Stoke (2.80) and Southampton (2.80) are neck and neck prior to their Potteries duel – odds that underline Paddy’s view that this clash will likely feature few goals. Stoke’s odds are perhaps a little surprising given the potential return of Ryan Shawcross and the fact that the Saints have scored just 11 goals on their travels this season, registering just four goals in their last six BPL matches.

Since Kane scored a brace (against Norwich, of all people) over a month ago, he's scored a penalty against City and a wonder goal against Arsenal in six games.

He's just not really in very good form.

Aguero's last brace? Oh yeah, against Villa. 😳

My problem actually is this: should I try to load up 11+ DGW'rs with at max 1 hit for GW34, or just fecking load up for these pre-GW33 GW's and use my wildcard GW33 to make a team for DGW34. My team has been giving me dilemmas like this all season long. Like, I could have a fine team GW34 without using my wildcard, but I'm not very happy about my transfer options for _this_ GW if I aim at that.

Maybe I should just rage quit in frustration.

A couple of hits will sort your team out. Chill?

No it wouldn't, actually. The problem is,I have just barely the 11 to start. If I want a player who I would play this GW and DGW34, that would most probably have to be from Newcastle. Like Wijnaldum. But he doesn't even make it to my tables now.

What I mean is that hits wouldn't help my team NOW at all. I could take a one week punt on Ayew/Siggy and then fix that with a hit later, of course, but seen how carp Swans are, it doesn't seem like the sensible thing to do.

we don't know enough about gw35 IMO. I'm going to just play for today and if I WC in dgw34 and have to take a few -2's for gw35 so be it

Do you have a playing XI? and will you lose a lot of TV for selling ozil? If no and no then I'd say go for the hit.

    A) Sanchez -> Silva / Siggy for -4
    B) Just play Cedric or Gosling
