We’ve been left hanging for weeks but finally, on 3pm on Tuesday, we were handed the Double Gameweek details and could begin our planning in earnest.

This week’s ScoutCast is dominated by double Gameweek chatter, as your community queries hone in on the variables, strategies and planning involved in exploiting the fixture pile-up to the full.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we attempt to make sense of it all, turning to a virtual flipchart to digest and communicate some of the options on offer.

It’s hardcore stuff that takes into extra time in an exhaustive 80-minute episode.

This was first aired live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening, Be sure to subscribe in order to get wind of future broadcasts.

You can view that live version via the larger player below, or indulge on the directors cut audio stream via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Which move would you guys do?

    A) Arnie to Siggy. Play Fuchs, bench Vardy.
    B) Kompany to Azpi. Bench Fuchs, play Vardy.

Who's the pick of Chelsea's mids for WHM and avl?

Thinking of taking a punt on Traore.

      Willian imo

Best Chelsea player all season imo and always good for a set piece goal/ assist

Depending on whether Hazard is fit, Oscar/ Fabregas might be worth a punt but I'd sooner go Willian (especially for value/ price)

I'd be surprised if he doesn't start up front this week, only real alternative is Remy. Costa ould be back for villa game depending on ban but Traore has impressed so far so I'm optimistic he's nailed

He'll be up front but will he act as a false 9 for others to make overlapping runs? Could benefit one of the midfield trio behind him

          Hazard/ Oscar/ Fabregas/ Willian

I've not heard of him being a false 9, as far as I know he is a striker irl who FPL have mislabeled for some reason

Thinking out loud... Vardy for captaincy next week? I'm not sure on Kane just as Bournemouth may close ranks but can imagine Vardy getting a penalty away against Palace..

My rank is 2.4k at the minute so only way is down!

Grief i'm usually unsure until close to the last minute meself! Hehe

Common choice is Siggy or Kane. I think Sigurdsson is a brave choice but Swansea are at home. Maybe Villa will have a go at them. Aguero vs Man U defence? Don't think so but he might get 1..

Which leaves Kane (defence of bournmouth might be okay/ tight) and Vardy against a Palace side that have shipped 7 goals in their last 3 games. Bournemouth have conceeded 3 in 4 but two of those were clean sheets.

        1. Paul_201

Bournemouth don't really "close ranks" or try park the bus.

They're like a cornered terrier, might not look like much, but will certainly get a few bites in if they're destined to go down. Love that they go out and attack, I reckon they'll score but I think they'll concede also.

Yep that's what they have been doing recently but i wonder if we'll see a bit more of their flair against Palace, maybe they'l have a real go at them? With such a poor defensive record recently a couple of splitting Mahrez passes/ dribbles and its vardy brace week

          Yeah same situation for me

I'm going Antonio so I can have Lukaku/ Sanchez and Bellerin

Team just looks so much more omfortable and if Antonio can nick a goal, his price might justify having him over Payet, but it's a small gamble

Here, they were already establishing control of the game when Tottenham lost Ben Davies after six minutes.
The Tottenham left-back was heavily clattered by Hugo Lloris as the goalkeeper came out to catch a Marco Reus through ball.
Davies took a shoulder to the head and needed two minutes of treatment. He played on for three minutes and then knelt down in groggy discomfort and was replaced.

    Hi there,

I reckon someone, somewhere out there has the perfect GW33 wildcard team (in theory) which takes absolutely EVERYTHING into account. If you don't mind, could you please post it please because I am about to disappear up my own arse.

    Thank you in anticipation.

    This week:
    A. Kompany to Ivanovic
    B. Stanislas to Traore

Seems a good week for a punt, so leaning towards B despite game time risk.

Hi mates!, any advices on this team.

I am going to the play All out attack Chip.

    Butland
    Simpson – Alderweideld
    Alli Mahrez Siggy(c) Wijnaldum xxxxxx
    Kun Kane Vardy

    Only 1ft and 0.6 cash
My idea is Shaquiri (out) -> Antonio,Traore,Arnautovic in,

    which would be your recommendation?

    Thank you!

Got 2FTs, but not sure what to do! G2G?

    Gomes
    Dier / Williams / Fuchs
    Payet / Ozil / Alli / Siggy / Mahrez
    Aguero (v) / Kane (c)

    (Forster / Vardy / Bellerin / Daniels)

    Cheers guys

Wildcarding in gw 32 instead of 33 like most on here, tear it apart

    Hart Elliot
    Bellerin Simpson Cresswell Clyne Azpi
    Ozil Sanchez Antonio Firmino Mahrez
    Aguero Rondon Lukaku

Azpi --> Smalling for gw 34 would give me 13 dgw players in gw 34 (+ Simpson and Mahrez)
2FT for gw35 where I will already have 10 players so far

        Bad fixtures actually

Also like the 2 week punt on Azpi before switching to Smalling

I think Simpson and Mahrez are still good shouts tbh, also have a game in gw35 as well...

I posted about this yesterday. Ive worked out that if i want to TC in 34 then i can make it work by wildcarding a week early to make use of the extra transfer. I wouldnt be losing Kane/Mahrez immediately but swapping directly for 34 allowing me to keep them for an extra week over doing it for wk 33.

    Elliot
    Coleman Toby Azpi
    Mahrez Silva Alli Arny
    Vardy Kane Aguero
    Subs Butland Huth Lingard Kompany

    1.5m ITB & 1 FT

    Vardy>Lukaku look a good transfer?

Coutinho or Milner the better option from 33 onwards? Was thinking Milner due to him being cheaper and on pens but I see he got stuck at right back today.

Left back due to Moreno and Flannagan not available.
