We’ve been left hanging for weeks but finally, on 3pm on Tuesday, we were handed the Double Gameweek details and could begin our planning in earnest.

This week’s ScoutCast is dominated by double Gameweek chatter, as your community queries hone in on the variables, strategies and planning involved in exploiting the fixture pile-up to the full.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we attempt to make sense of it all, turning to a virtual flipchart to digest and communicate some of the options on offer.

It’s hardcore stuff that takes into extra time in an exhaustive 80-minute episode.

This was first aired live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening, Be sure to subscribe in order to get wind of future broadcasts.

You can view that live version via the larger player below, or indulge on the directors cut audio stream via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

watched all 90 minutes of the United Liverpool match. That wasn't as much brilliance from Coutinho as it was pure stupidity from Varela. You NEVER left a player beat you on the inside with a clear shot at your keeper's near post. No wonder why he pulled after 45 minutes; he cost his team the game.

Have a feeling through the DGW madness the one who keeps Kane and Vardy could reap benefits.

Hey guys, how do these transfers look for free?

    Silva ➡ Ozil

Who wants to get excited about DGW34 and the prospect of 15 Dgw'ers?

My team, so far this year, has got an average of 4.8PPG. We will effectively have 32 players in the DGW, which means, if my players have two average weeks, then we should score c. 154 Points.

Lowest GW (based on my GW History this season, 32 points) 'Bench boost' - 85pts
Highest GW (based on my GW History this season, 121 points) 'Bench boost' - 323pts (!!!)

I was just wondering why it had two names.

Bits of it are built on an old - very old - cemetery. The stadium, I mean. Upton Park is the district in which the parish is set. 🙂

Interesting. When I was a kid, looking at my Panini sticker album and reading Match etc, they always called it Upton Park and I don't remember hearing Boleyn Ground until about, I dunno, 20 years ago.

It was known as the Boleyn ground in the late 1960s, when I became a fan. The deconsecrated ground was Catholic, obviously. Centuries previously, it was notoriously a neighbourhood of roundheads. Quite ironic really, as people now generally imagine the East End as being more royalist than the royals. 😆

Oh, I don't doubt it was known locally as the Boleyn Ground, but in national publications I don't remember it being called the Boleyn Ground until a couple of decades ago. Maybe someone just brought it seeping back into prominence.

You may well be right there. When all the stadium was being rebuilt, especially the South stand, they were looking for validation, so probably insisted, out of respect/fear of the locals.
