Re assists..

'If an opposing player touches the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded.'

The key word here is DESTINATION.. People keep talking about DIRECTION but the word does not feature. Even if the keeper changed the direction, (imo he didn't) there can be no dispute that the intended destination was Fernandez so the assist stands. Really simple

  I agree it should be an assist today. I guess the only complaint is we've seen similar ones not given earlier in the season. Personally I think all final passes should be assists.

  As much as stats don't lie, Leicester's passing recently has been sublime. 'Successful' passes don't mean a thing unless you're a team that plays possession football (Man Utd, Swansea, Bournemouth). Leicester counter-attack all game, every game and it means they lose the ball a lot in the final third but who cares when you can play that strategy perfectly every game and defend very well to boot?

      de Gea is pretty poor at his near post too, I think Cech is the best rounded keeper in the league. No weakness, but no one great strength.
      
      Courtois is going to be really good, just see de Gea's start at United too.

  Scores are far more closely bunched than usual this season (1,000th OR is only 88 points behind - there is often a bigger difference than that between 1st and 10th), so it is possible that someone might come through from a long way back - but it would need a number of dramatic differentials compared to others who also have all their major chips left.

      Yep he did. A great film although I must admit when I first watched it when it came out I thought it was ok. Only when I watched a second time did I really get it, probably didn't see past the whole opening Private Pyle episode.

        The Private Pyle scenes are very hard to see past to be fair. Great acting, direction, soundtrack, climax. Like a mini movie in of itself. I've recorded Birdman, might try that next instead 😀

    Watched season 1 on Netflix didn't realise season 2 wasn't on at the time so after watching season 1 I went out and bought the box set so I could watch season 2. Think season 2 has possibly been added now though
