The Premier League have this afternoon confirmed a new date for Crystal Palace’s home clash with Everton. The pair will now go head-to-head at Selhurst Park on Wednesday April 13, meaning they will play twice in Gameweek 33.

Palace will host Norwich prior to the Toffees’ visit, whilst Roberto Martinez’ men also face a trip to Watford beforehand.

Both clubs now face back-to-back double Gameweeks in 33 and 34 before being handed a blank the following weekend due to their FA Cup semi-final date.

Everton also have to play twice in Gameweek 37 (lei &sun), handing them a trio of doubles in the final seven rounds of fixtures. Although just one of those six matches across their doubles is at Goodison, investment in Romelu Lukaku is set to intensify – nine of the Belgian’s 18 league goals this season have arrived on the road. The likes of Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon will also hold extra appeal in light of the announcement.

Interest in Palace’s prospects will also be on the up, though they then face back-to-back trips to Arsenal and United in double Gameweek 34 prior to their blank. Furthermore, the Eagles have scored just 16 times in front of their own fans – only three sides have netted less – and have lost six on the bounce at Selhurst Park.

The confirmation perhaps adds a little more weight to the idea of wildcarding in Gameweek 33 now as we look to take advantage of both clubs’ schedules. With many still holding Bench Boost and Triple Captain Chips, today’s news just made things a little more interesting.

With Everton having three double gameweeks is it absolutely necessary to triple up on them ?

Makes it really quite difficult for GW35 if you want some West Ham assets as well.

No. Unreliable defence, points shared around in midfield, rotation highly likely, blank 35.

      Not one bit.

So many on here are making the mistake of getting players in just because they have a dgw.

Have a think about who are the form players and then make your choices. I wouldn't take anyone from CPL and from EVR, only Lukaku and possibly Barclay appeal.

    DDG - Elliot
    Kos - Bellerin - Coleman - Moreno - Olsson
    Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini
    Aguero - Lukaku - Ayoze

    £1.2m ITB

These lot will see me through GW35 and give me 11 for GW37. Any improvements you'd make with the spare cash?

I find it rather odd that Cech is appearing in so few dgw teams. Instead, the likes of Robbers, DDG and Mings appear who you know appear behind perhaps the most suspect defences in the country.

I hope those DDG punters don't see that then.

As far as Liverpud are concerned, it worries me that they can't defend a two goal lead at STH.

GW33 - WC - who knows who will be in!
GW34 - BB - normally do ok after wildcards so maximise on this
GW37- TC - doesnt seem to be any major candidates, but i guess form can change a lot.....

Yep, that's why it's a lottery ticket. But if your down in your league it might be worth a shot

Until he breaks down again he is in my team from 33. Such an obvious diff. We all know the risks.

Not selling Kane. But I think when I WC for the last Doubles - if he's still fit, and Liverpool fighting for that 4th spot - he is straight in there

TC best used in 34 IMO

Considering using my AOA this week.

    Would mean benching either:

    A) Dawson (sun)

    or

    B) Fuchs (SOU)

    Which would you bench?

AOA is the most irrelevant thing in the whole FPL world. like, its even less relevant than the colours you choose on your team kit.

I don't think this extra everton dgw changes much for me....
    My choice seems to be.

A...Ddg, mahrez with their sgws plus reid and no hit for gw35

B...robles, Barkley with their dgws plus cress well with a hit for gw35

So surely I stick to my original plan of option A and just get lukaku

I think I am still doing GW36 WC.
In light of this Everton news though - I shall I have Lukaku and Jagielka ready for DGW 33

I will have this team out for DWG 34. No Hit. Thoughts please?

    DDG. Butland
    BELLERIN. JAGIELKA. SAKHO. (Huth). (Daniels)
OZIL (TC). PAYET. FIRMINO. Mahrez (Alli)
    AGUERO. LUKAKU. Kane.

Already 11 players in this team for GW35

Palace likely to rest some big hitters vs Man Utd away in the second match of DGW34? Follows on from a DGW the week before and is sandwiched in between Arsenal away and their FA Cup semi final. Can see the likes of Dann, Cabaye and Bolasie getting a rest.

Moving away from the overall WC template, how about a bit of transfer planning.

Dann > an Arsenal or ManU defender after GW33?

One Double player to a better Double player. Makes sense. Unless you perhaps have a poor SGW player that you can switch out instead? Maximise your team for the Doubles

Some advice would be hugely aprreciated.

    Current team:

    Hart | Butland
    Fuchs | Williams | Bellerin | VVD | Toby
    Mahrez | Sanchez | Payet | Antonio | Ali
    Kun | Kane | Vardy

    1FT, 0.0 ITB, BB, WC

Was planning on doing Vardy > Wellbeck this week and then Hart, Williams and Antonio > DDG, Smalling and Stanilas for a -4 in GW 34 to field 7DGWS and 4 strong SGWS then transfer out a keeper in GW35 and WC 36.

However now this fixture has been announced should I do Hart and Vardy > Robles and Lukaku for a -4 and then use 1FT for Williams > DGW34 Def and have one more FT at my diaposal.

All transfers above will leave me with exactly 0.0ITB hence -4s (price changes) and Stanislas!

    Thanks

I'm currently leading my ML by 30 points and second place has used thier WC.

I think fielding the team below will be strong enough for me to keep my lead and WC and BB later on rather than rip my team apart and flop!

        DDG/ROBLES
        Toby SMALLING/4.8 BELLERIN
        Mahrez SANCHEZ PAYET Ali
        KUN Kane WELBECK/LUKAKU

2 double GWs in a row?

Surely its worth having a couple of Everton & Palace players if you are still fortunate to have the WC! Even if they are tough fixtures 4 Bolasie fixtures will trump 2 Mahrez?

Yes will need transfers and cover for 35. Most teams will struggle to field 11 after 33/34

For sure, a hit minimum for most depending on your Everton/Palace cover.

Sorted TM. Wildcarded this week to give choice if required of 15dwg in 34 , full everton cover 33 and 11 for 35 with 2 FT moving forward. Might have got it badly wrong but it seems to make sense.

You'll have to post your team if you have 3 Eve in 33, 15 DGWers in 34 and 11 after using your FTs in 35.

I'm not sure if they will to be honest, Mahrez has a good chance of getting 1 goal and bringing in 7 points one game and blanking with a 2 the other = 9, and with those fixtures Bolaise could return a string of 2's giving you 8.

How do you get to that logic? Not just you but lots of people seem to think that just because a player plays twice he is likely to return big points.

Forgetting the fact he is cr@ap, his team is cr@ap and you are leaving out the seasons highest scorer.

Just me that feels like this?

I can definitely see Mahrez could score more if he has a good week or even 2.

The way I see it Bolasie gets 4 rolls of the dice and Mahrez gets 2. The percentages *should* be in his favour
