After delving into the Defensive data over the last four matches earlier this week, we turn our attentions to the centre of the park. With double Gameweek shopping in mind, we compare some of the West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle midfielders, before casting an eye over the upturn in form from Leicester’s talismanic wide man.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

How nailed is Sakho at Liverpool? Play every game through that tough schedule do you think?

Yes. Back training today at their warm weather camp. I reckon he will play most games, tbh

What do you reckon on this lot- might even pull
    the trigger this week!

    Robles-Elliot
    Smalling-Darmian-Sakho-Bellerin-Cresswell
    Ozil-Firminho-Payet-Lennon-Lanzini
    Aguero-Lukaku-Kane

Would play BB in 34... Only slight issue is would
only be 9 playing in 35 (with the 2FT)..

Just a ramble and a couple of comments about Palace.

Every year without fail a poor team from the bowels of the prem comes good at this time of season and spring some remarkable results...sometimes more than one team. Palace, Sunderland, Newcastle could easily surprise us imo.....

This time last season you couldn't have given away Lei and Hull picks for DGW's and the vast majority that did have them only picked them because they already had them as enablers in their squads..so why not pick them.

Sometimes you can pin point a teams lack of form to a single moment...Pell's resignation thing for City and Bolasie's injury for Palace being two big one's this season.

Struggling teams have safer picks that teams wandering in nowhereness at this time of year. Hiddink has already said he intends to play fringe players and other mid table teams will follow as the weeks march on.

    Ramble over.

I am just struggling to work out which one is the best choice
Dann has the scoring ability but he eats up too much cash for a palace defender , Delaney only seems able to offer assists. So it leaves us with cabaye or bolasie, cabaye you are kinda relying on set pieces and bolasie is as likely to get 2 points as 20 points

      1. Dr Dream

I have Dann and Cabaye in UFPL and won't hesitate to add Wickham if he's fit.

Aye some of the largely ignored dgws can be the real clinkers.

Some of the must have teams completely blank.

A bit like a normal week in FPL only magnified by two.

So, i came with this for WC GW33 team

    Mignolet - Robles
    Bellerin - Smalling - Sakho - Dann - Simpson
    Ozil - Payet - Firmino - Mahrez - Barkley
    Aguero - Lukaku - Defoe

    GW33 - 4 DGW players
    GW34 - 13 DGW players - BB chip
    GW35 Barkley + Dann TO Willian + Azpi - 11 players

    Good or not?

    Mahrez Payet* Alli Siggy

    Casper Daniels Arnie Targett

Plan is to get in 8 or 9 dgw players. NO Wildcard. So any advice would be great.

Alderweird Vardy Arnie Siggy and Butland are the ones who will make way.

Of Everton maybe. I certainly don't like the defence and see nothing beyond the DDG/Elliot axis

But. For 4.3 and four games in two weeks. Ward or Delaney are going in there. They only have to do one thing in four games for the to be remotely worthwhile.

Quite fancy this effort for GW33 WC
    Migs / Hennesey
    Bellerin / Clichy / Rojo / Moreno / Gabriel
    Ozil / Coutinho / Barkley / Antonio / Bolasie
    Kun / Kane / Lukaku
    Gives 4DGW33
    14DGW in 34BB
    2FT gets 11 playing in 35
    and another 2FT gets 11DGW in 37TC
A bit depends on injuries clearing up and nailedness of defence, which can be assessed in GW32

That defence is a car crash. I would be shocked in the last four played more than four, five at most games between them.

I like your front 8. Differential midfield, heavy up top

Clichy Gabriel and Rojo have played the last 4 or 5 and Moreno is the only left back they have. Only missed last few because of injury

Dann has certainly polarised opinion since the announcement of Palace's double/double today. Depending on your point of view, he's either Dann the Man or Dann the Wan(k).

On the one hand, he's well on target to winning the defenders Golden Boot (or Helmet) and has four fixtures in GWs 33 & 34 in which to extend that lead and even possibly pick up a cleanie along the way.

On the other hand, he cannot be considered to be an option because his team's recent form has been so dire (zero wins in their last thirteen PL games) that they've slipped from the a comfortable pipe & slippers position into a situation just out-with the relegation mire.

Personally, I think it could go either way, but the fact that he's had 13 returns in his 30 games (that averages out at nearly 43%) and four of those returns have even been during Palace's miserable run of form, will ensure he finds a place into my wildcard team.

One goal, one cleanie & a couple of bonus = 20 points. That's not too much to ask for is it?

Palace's form means they have the lives to fight for. And they certainly have the talent to put up a fight. I think they should finish the season strong

Easy, bring him in on the WC to play in GW33 when Arse / ManU have terrible fixtures, then use your free transfer to swap him out for one of those teams in GW34.

Who is your 'primary' DGW keeper? I don't have bb so I'm only playing one keeper - and I really can't see beyond DDG for the berth. My second keeper therefore needs to be a gw35er. No room for Robles in there.

Keepers are so hard work to predict. Who'd have guessed back to back clean sheets for Norwich against City and WBA (WBA stuck three past Palace, two past Lei and one past United prior to that).

For me it was DDG and Elliot until DGW33 was announced. Now I'm thinking Robles and Elliot with Rojo for Man U defensive cover. Can't really justify DDG over Robles with Robles being much cheaper and having an extra game, and Rojo being cheaper than the nailed Everton defenders.

    I really fancy a Bolasie(TC) in GW33 !!

    If not, it's either Sanchez/Ozil or a Man U defender in GW34.

    Butland
    Ivanovic, Wollscheid, Simpson
    Ozil, Mahrez, Sigurdsson, Alli
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

    De Gea, Kompany, Alderweireld, Lingard

    2 FTs 1.8 ITB

WCing in 33 so looking for a good two week punt.

    A) Kompany + Lingard -> Bellerin + Chelsea mid (bench Wolly)
    B) Alli + Lingard -> Lanzini/Antonio + Chelsea mid (bench Vardy)

    Open to other suggestions.

With Robles in goal for GW33?

Am toying with just having Hennessey and Bolasie, but would probably mean Jags instead of Robles.

Ward more dangerous from corners, and he's the FB so gets forward more. He's a good source of baps when once in a blue moon Palace keep a CS.

Ha, have just been googling to find when he's returning. I think Palace are a different proposition with Bolasie back. They were unlucky not to get something out of the Leicester game.

Does the DGW for Everton and Palace change the minds of those who were going to WC in GW33 to now?

And is anyone who is NOT WC'ing going for any Palace, or just Everton?
