Toby Alderweireld recovers from a stomach bug in time for Tottenham’s trip to Anfield. Arsenal’s Petr Cech remains a doubt, James Tomkins returns for West Ham, whilst Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino is still struggling with a hamstring problem.

Toby Alderweireld has fully recovered from the illness that forced him to miss out for Belgium in midweek. Mauricio Pochettino also revealed that Jan Vertonghen is “very, very close” to being available, whilst Erik Lamela –who picked up a knock during the break – will be assessed once he arrives back from a long-haul flight.

Yohan Cabaye, Mile Jedinak and Emmanuel Adebayor are all doubts for Palace’s trip to Upton Park. Connor Wickham looks set to miss out again but could be in contention for next week, according to Alan Pardew.

Aston Villa caretaker boss Erik Black has revealed that the club are currently conducting an internal investigation. Whilst this is underway, Gabby Agbonlahor won’t be available for selection.

Younes Kaboul, Wahbi Khazri and Lamine Kone are all fit for Sunderland’s home clash with West Brom. Billy Jones is doubtful due to a minor knock, whilst DeAndre Yedlin will be assessed after arriving back late from international duties.

Reports in the local press suggest that Roberto Firmino remains a big doubt due to a hamstring problem, with the Brazilian again failing to train yesterday. Christian Benteke also missed out, though Divock Origi and Philippe Coutinho both took part in the session, with the latter showing no ill-effects from a long-haul flight back fro South America.

Andre Ayew misses out once again as Swansea make their way to the Britannia. Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow will be assessed after long-hauls flights back from international duties but are expected to be available.

Eddie Howe is optimistic on Josh King and Harry Arter’s fitness after both pulled out of international duties over the last fortnight.

Petr Cech remains uncertain to return in time for Arsenal’s home clash with Watford, though the keeper is back in training today. Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini remain sidelined, though both have a chance of returning next weekend, according to Arsene Wenger.

James Tomkins is available for West Ham’s home encounter with Palace. James Collins and Sam Byram are both “progressing well”, according to Slaven Bilic, but remain sidelined for the weekend.

John Stones has shrugged off a knock in time for Everton’s trip to Old Trafford on Sunday. Roberto Martinez has also revealed that Bryan Oviedo is available after recovering from a chest infection, whilst Kevin Mirallas is also back in the fold after serving a two-match ban.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

I'm actually torn between Aguero and Payet.
A bad Aguero game plus a penalty could easily outscore a good Payet game where West Ham are wasteful

is just Man Citys form at the moment and espcially the away form that is putting me off Aguero, coupled with the fact they have champs league during the week, think aguero could be taken off early, the leagues gone lets face it

    Hi All,

Can a player's transfer value drop 0.2 in one go?

If I hold onto Butland for one more week before a WC in GW33 I can use my 2FTs this week elsewhere.
As it stands, I won't lose selling value when he inevitably drops tonight (unless it is by 0.2).

    Cheers!

no playing keepers this week, and i'm WCing in 33, so i'm thinking i should bring in a GW33 DGW keeper?

    howard:
    GW 32 ManU (A)
    GW 33 Wat (A)
    GW 33 Cry (A)

all aways, but seems worth a shot?

If you are using wildcard in 33 then it doesn't matter who you bring in for this weekend as you can't get rid easily next week. That means you can pick whoever has best fixtures for a one off punt:

Courtois (Villa A) or Adrian (Palace H) look the best bets this weekend.

I do my wc team over and over again and the hardest part for me is to find 3rd striker along Lukaku and Kun. I just want to ask who is your 3rd striker choice?

Kane: Eventhough he is reliable, he is too expansive for me without any dgw.

vardy: As most of us will keep mahrez, and maybe simpson, isn't it too much to keep him?

welbeck / giroud: too risky choice, considering most of us will use 3 arsenal spots for bellerin, gabriel, ozil and/or sanchez

martial / ighalo: as most of us wants a manu defender, payet and lingaard as 5th chep mid, do they justify to be a candidate a 35 gw blanker?

liverpool fw: is there any reliable one?

mitrovic: just one good sunderland game is enough to pick him? potential bandwagon if he scores against norwich

wickham: do 2 good gw before injury mislead us? Does he merit a place with his team horrendous form?

    so who you will pick?

I'm sure people have asked this before but what option do you prefer:

    A) Wildcard right now, Lukaku TC in GW33, bench boost in GW34, normal GW37.
    B) Wildcard in GW33, bench boost in GW34, Payet TC in GW37.

I'm assuming Payet shouldn't be a worry for benching as West Ham look to be competing for Europe (and should still be in the mix come the end of the season).

Thanks for any responses guys, this has had me confused for days!

        10 years, 5 days ago

Cheers man. I think I'm going A as well. Hard to find a good team though.

        Currently, I have:

        Robles / Darlow
        Sagna / Ward / Moreno / Clichy / Bellerin
        Ozil / Payet / Coutinho / Bolasie / Barkley
        Aguero / Lukaku / Welbeck

Not really happy with it though, what do you think?

        1. Elycea
          • 12 Years
          10 years, 5 days ago

My WC currently looks like this

          Mignolet/Robles
          Koscielny/Monreal/Bellerin/Alderweireld/Dann
          Lingard/Payet/Coutinho/Mahrez/Barkley
          Lukaku/Aguero/Vardy

I think they're the right 3 Everton players for next week despite their leaky defence, and I added Dann for his double double too, GW34 ars,mun isn't great but his fixtures for Arsenals bad weeks are NOR + STO so worth a go I reckon.

I was toying with Sagna/Clichy/Moreno too, but got scared by talk of rotation, Bolasie is a good call and Welbeck was too risky for me, so I stuck with my cheap Vardy/Mahrez (I bought early) with an eye to moving them out after GW35. Darlow is interesting, I wouldn't expect too many cleanies from anyone in Newcastle's goal, but it's got to be decent value with save point potential!

I'd have liked to keep Ozil but for all his points he's too unpredictable to captain imo so I'd rather go all-in on the Arsenal defence given their kind run-in.

            10 years, 4 days ago

            That's pretty great actually.

I'm not sure. I think it makes sense to hold onto Mahrez and Kane (and maybe even Vardy) but I'm feeling like taking a massive punt here.

Ranked around 100k and my target was the top 10k, feel like it might be worth throwing the dice - not much to lose really.

Double gameweek players with equal or more double digit hauls as Aguero over the season:

Ozil, Ighalo, Lukaku, Coutinho, Firmino, Payet, Costa, Barkley, Antonio and De Bruyne.

    Essential?

    1. tm245
      • 14 Years
      10 years, 5 days ago

Good point, but what strikes me as odd is how many people are contemplating shipping him in order to make room for Alexis, who is even more of a disappointment in this category this season.

I will have both because I am chasing, but Sanchez is much less essential than Aguero IMO.

      1. McNulty
        • 16 Years
        10 years, 5 days ago

Yes Sanchez has really disappointed but he could make one hell of a differential if he hits form this week. But with his current form I might get Bellerin and Koscielny as that covers me for GW35 nicely.

De Bruyne might be an alternative to Kun as he actually has higher points per game this season. Depends whether he is back in time though.

I can see that the new design is probably better on tablets and especially smartphones with everything optimized for portrait mode and generally bigger than before. Problem is, I use a desktop computer, and the bigger formats are cumbersome when viewed in the standard landscape mode, Can't have it both ways, I guess.

Sanchez is the best punt if you can afford him (assuming you already have Payet).

Fabregas and Antonio could also work.
