Toby Alderweireld recovers from a stomach bug in time for Tottenham’s trip to Anfield. Arsenal’s Petr Cech remains a doubt, James Tomkins returns for West Ham, whilst Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino is still struggling with a hamstring problem.

Toby Alderweireld has fully recovered from the illness that forced him to miss out for Belgium in midweek. Mauricio Pochettino also revealed that Jan Vertonghen is “very, very close” to being available, whilst Erik Lamela –who picked up a knock during the break – will be assessed once he arrives back from a long-haul flight.

Yohan Cabaye, Mile Jedinak and Emmanuel Adebayor are all doubts for Palace’s trip to Upton Park. Connor Wickham looks set to miss out again but could be in contention for next week, according to Alan Pardew.

Aston Villa caretaker boss Erik Black has revealed that the club are currently conducting an internal investigation. Whilst this is underway, Gabby Agbonlahor won’t be available for selection.

Younes Kaboul, Wahbi Khazri and Lamine Kone are all fit for Sunderland’s home clash with West Brom. Billy Jones is doubtful due to a minor knock, whilst DeAndre Yedlin will be assessed after arriving back late from international duties.

Reports in the local press suggest that Roberto Firmino remains a big doubt due to a hamstring problem, with the Brazilian again failing to train yesterday. Christian Benteke also missed out, though Divock Origi and Philippe Coutinho both took part in the session, with the latter showing no ill-effects from a long-haul flight back fro South America.

Andre Ayew misses out once again as Swansea make their way to the Britannia. Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow will be assessed after long-hauls flights back from international duties but are expected to be available.

Eddie Howe is optimistic on Josh King and Harry Arter’s fitness after both pulled out of international duties over the last fortnight.

Petr Cech remains uncertain to return in time for Arsenal’s home clash with Watford, though the keeper is back in training today. Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini remain sidelined, though both have a chance of returning next weekend, according to Arsene Wenger.

James Tomkins is available for West Ham’s home encounter with Palace. James Collins and Sam Byram are both “progressing well”, according to Slaven Bilic, but remain sidelined for the weekend.

John Stones has shrugged off a knock in time for Everton’s trip to Old Trafford on Sunday. Roberto Martinez has also revealed that Bryan Oviedo is available after recovering from a chest infection, whilst Kevin Mirallas is also back in the fold after serving a two-match ban.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Posted this yesterday but I'll post it again

How does my GW33 wildcard look? Will BB gw34

    De Gea-Mignolet
    Bellerin-Monreal-Clyne-Coleman-Simpson
    Mahrez-Ozil-Payet-Firmino-Barkley
    Lukaku-Deeney-Aguero

I have tried to favour the most nailed on options

Robles + Darlow are nailed aren't they? If you agree you could possibly squeeze Kane or Sturridge in over Deeney

De Gea is worth it though. I need a keeper with 35 fixture and Mig has that as well as being a guaranteed starter in the Liv defence.

I'm thinking DDG myself, agree that he's a great choice - I'd just look for a budget keeper to pair him with. Not sold on Deeney tbh

Going on lunch soon, BURRITO FRIDAY B!TCHES! 😀 😀

Quick question to leave here before I go...

    BENCH MAHREZ OR LUKAKU?! 😀

Mahrez - best player in fpl this year, better away from home?
Lukaku - playing a worse defence in my opinion (stats back it up)

Thoughts on the following for 1 week only?

    A) Silva -> Payet
    Or
    B) VVD -> Bellerin

Only the one FT, leaning towards A though it would mean playing VVD

Is now a good time to use AOA? Has anyone else used it already and really benefited?

    Schmeichel
    Bellerin - Azpilicueta
    Ozil - Alli - Payet - Arnautovic - Mahrez
    Vardy - Kane - Aguero

    (Butland, Aldeweireld, Dawson, Williams)

Good Morning everyone. Bored at work but excited for these upcoming gameweeks..

Tell me who would you bench???

    Boruc
    PVA (c) Otamendi Fuchs
    Mahrez Arnau Silva Payet
    Vardy Kane Kun

    Hennesey, Traore, Dier, Targett

Currently benching Traore because of Hiddink´s conference but it´s annoying me as i brought him in two weeks ago as a punt. Should i risk and play Traore? For who?

    Morning all.

The Villa players drop like flies but still no call from the club, it's a shame because I'd love to play for them even though I'm not a fan.

In more serious news, I keep seeing this three of both Merseyside team approach but I can't name 3 of each that I want, who are people getting in?

Robles and Lukaku for Everton, and I really can't think of one Liverpool player I actually want. Probably Firmino if I feel like I have to.

    Wildcard team, just about final:

    Mignolet Robles
    Reid Gabriel Monreal Delaney Smalling
    Coutinho Sanchez Payet Mahrez Bolasie
    Aguero Lukaku Mitrovic

A few punts in there, but should be able to field 4 dgwers in 33, 14 dgwers in 34, 11 in 35, and 11 dgwers in 37

You think those games are enough to spot a pattern? His stats and overall form pretty good, before he got injured his points were at home.

There are other options but tough to write payet off

I certainly think Payet and West Ham in general are much more dangerous and effective away from home, where the emphasis isn't on them to control the game.

Did consider going Kun-less on wildcard, hopefully that decision will be put to bed once and for all. Decided to jettison Kane instead rightly or wrongly...

    Please bench one ~

    A> Sigurdsson
    B> Payet
    C> Silva
    D> Mahrez
    E> Alli

    *I'm currently benching Sigurdsson.

I think I'm staying on Ozil(c). Been guilty of both captaining last week's best player (Kane), or defaulting on Aguero. I'm not sure either are the best picks. Arsenal should beat Watford comfortably and Ozil will be involved. Two returns for Germany too during the break so in decent nick...

If I had Payet I'd go with him though!

Gawd no. Ozil would NEVER enter my head as a captain

You have Sanchez playing for the same team. When is the situation gonna arise when you'd ever captain Ozil over Sanchez? Never that's when!

I myself don't have Sanchez. Who's going to be assisting Sanchez if not Ozil?

Rojo or Reid for a GW32 wildcard?

Both blank. Rojo plum DGW fixtures. Reid plum fixture this week. Would start this week

What CPL coverage are people going for in 33? Thinking Bolasie minimum and a possible Dann punt.

Anyone going for any different players? Or even going for a full 3?

Bolasie and Dann pretty much. Wickham potentially an option but 3 makes GW35 tough

Dann and Wickham if fit. Then trading both for PvA+Defoe GW35 is the plan.

      Bolasie for definite.

I've had Scott Dann warming my bench for ages, but I can't see a way to keep him in and execute my WC plan, so I'll probably be cashing him in after this weekend.
