We’re back into the swing of the Gameweek cycle and returning to Paddy Power’s window, peering in to gather an additional set of considerations before the bell tolls on another deadline.

Before we scan Paddy’s odds for Anytime Goalscorers and Clean Sheets, we should remind those without accounts that you can sign up and take advantage of a batch of Paddy Power’s enhanced odds offers every Gameweek – this weekend is no exception.

Paddy get the ball rolling with their customary European Acca, offering 20/1 on wins for Man City (at Bournemouth), Arsenal (vs Watford), Barcelona (vs Real Madrid) and Juventus (vs Empoli).

Today’s all-important tea-time clash at Anfield is covered by two beefed-up offers, with new accounts able to get 8/1 on a Liverpool win over Spurs, or 9/1 on the visitors earning a priceless away win.

If that fails to tickle your fancy, you can dive into tomorrow’s live encounters and grab 7/1 on a Leicester win over Southampton, if 6/1 on Manchester United overcoming Everton in the later kick-off.

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

Sergio Aguero (1.83) has drawn blanks in four of his last five starts but retains his regular position at the summit of Paddy’s likely scorer charts. Topping this week’s Captain Poll, the Argentine has been directly involved in 66% (nine goals, one assist) of Manchester City’s goals since Gameweek 20, which bodes well for his attacking prospects against a Bournemouth outfit that conceded seven goals in their last four home ties. Elsewhere in the Sky Blues camp, Kevin De Bruyne and Wilfried Bony (2.40) sneak into view with Paddy clearly backing an away win for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

Surprisingly, Olivier Giroud (2.00) – who has started just one of Arsenal’s last four league fixtures – has been pinpointed as the second-most likely scorer this Gameweek as the Gunners prepare to host Watford (two clean sheets in 13). Alex Iwobi and Alexis Sanchez (both 2.20) also feature highly, with Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck (2.29) not far behind. Despite their recent FA Cup defeat to the Hornets, Paddy are clearly in Arsenal’s camp for today’s encounter.

In the absence of the suspended Diego Costa – who recently received an extension on his ban – back-ups forwards Loic Remy, Bertrand Traore and Radamel Falcao all come in at 2.29 before Chelsea’s alluring trip to Aston Villa. The Blues attack will clearly fancy their chances against a Villains rearguard that has surrendered 18 goals in their previous six outings.

Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy are both pitched at 2.40 ahead of crunch ties in the title race. Having netted five goals in his last three starts, the former is well placed to punish a Liverpool team that conceded three or more goals on three occasions over their last nine match-ups. As for Vardy, he graced the scoreboard just once in his previous seven league starts but will be brimming with confidence having scored in both England internationals during the break.

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 32

TeamOdds

Sunderland2.25
Stoke City2.40
West Ham United2.50
Manchester United2.50
Leicester City2.60
Norwich City2.60

With Watford failing to score in seven of their last 10 matches, it’s little wonder that Arsenal (1.90) are handed the shortest clean-sheet odds by the bookmaker. Staying within the capital, Chelsea (2.00) are also well fancied to repel a Villa attack that is looking to avoid a fourth successive blank. Chelsea have, however, gone six matches without a shut-out.

Given that Sunderland (2.25) have failed to secure a clean sheet in 16 attempts, it’s somewhat perplexing that they rank third in our table prior to a home encounter against West Bromwich Albion, who have registered a solitary blank in five. Stoke City’s valuation (2.40) for their home tie against Swansea City also looks generous in the wake of Jack Butland’s season-ending injury and an array of knocks in the back four.

West Ham United (2.50) have recorded three straight clean sheets at the Boelyn Ground, so they appear to represent good value against a Crystal Palace unit that’s devoid of a fit and proven striker. As for Man United (2.50), they could struggle to contain an Everton team that racked up nine goals in their last trio of road matches.

Leicester and Norwich City (both 2.60) are neck and neck ahead of their respective home fixtures. The Foxes earned clean sheets in six of their previous seven showdowns at the King Power Stadium, bolstering their case for investment. The Canaries, meanwhile, strive for their third consecutive clean sheet against a Newcastle squad that charts bottom for away goals (seven).

Thanks. No wildcard 🙁 or id take Henessey out.

Huge ownership on Alli so it could hurt if he scores big that's my worry on benching him.

Happy to see someone else gambling on Rashford. Don't like Evans and Mangala, maybe change to Janmaat and Reid?

I actually don't either but they both play in 35....if I bring in Reid and have Rojo i'll have to take a hit to field 11 in 35 which I'm trying to avoid. Could always just go Simpson but kinda want 15 DGWers for the fun of it

Don't really have 3 m to spare with my low TV. You think I should downgrade Coutinho and Barkley to lallana/Milner and Lennon in order to get Martial?

Ya I'm not keen on him either but has DGW 34 and plays in 35. You have any better DGW 34 DF's for 4.5m or less that play in 35?

        Will Cech start today..
        Thinking of putting him in.
        Looks good apart from mangala...
Also Gabriel might get rotated with Mert

I hope so. He tweeted yesterday that he is fine. You reckon I should just go Robles / Darlow and bring in Kosceilny?

On my laptop I can see the real-time comments feed on the right hand side.

On my phone I cant. Is it viewable somewhere on my mobile?

I'm struggling with this new set up - especially for mobiles. Its like its been made for the seriously visually impaired. And I'm only slightly speccy. 🙂

You can view all the sidebar stuff on mobile by using the four buttons under the first article on the homepage.

We're looking at revisiting this because folk keep missing it.

I must admit, when I saw the buttons I just assumed it was to do with sharing on Twitter or something. Had no idea until TM pointed me in the right direction.

      I know it's a cliche, but Ozil's head really isn't in it.

His motivation has gone, he's disillusioned, and he'll be off in the summer if he has his way.

      Keep that (c) away.

Yeah, that's my concern. His comments in the press etc. Wenger said he'd speak to him etc. I do wonder.

          9 years, 11 months ago

Yep. You should've caught him at the end of Barca (a).

I know the game had gone, but they had a corner and he turned his back on it. "I ain't taking that," basically.

Such a bad attitude, and not committed to the cause, imo.

the stress of picking a captain is killing me.

ML leader is 33 points ahead. I can see he has played his wildcard this week and must have got rid of aguero. Do i captain Aguero or do I go for Payet as think he will probably captain him?

I want to captain Sanchez too as a trial run for giving him the Triple Captain chip in 34 too.

      A Aguero
      B Payet
      C Sancez

West Ham fans - Thoughts on top 4? Nearly full fit squad which should help massively.

Palace fans - Thoughts on relegation?

Just saw something on Twitter! It wasn't from a reliable source but don't want to be taking a chance on Ozil on wildcard when there's plenty of other great midfielders via for those 5 spots.

After looking into this further I think with Arsenal v Watford a must win game & Ozil just about to sign a new contract there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

      2: Ivan or Kosc ?

      Butland (Robles)
Fuchs - Bellerin - Toby (VVD, Kompany)
Mahrez - Payet - Ozil - Arnie (Alli)
      Vardy - Kun - Kane

Rashford or Mitrovic? Rashford optimizes both midfield and defence, Mitrovic only optimizes one of the above.
