There’s no double Gameweek on offer in FantasyBet this week, with the midweek match between Palace and Everton excluded from the round of fixtures. Instead the action kicks off at Upton Park, where Arsenal visit the Hammers looking for a third straight win, and ends on Sunday, when Manchester United visit Tottenham.

In between, Crystal Palace go head-to-head with Norwich in a proverbial six-pointer at Selhurst Park, whilst Newcastle travel to St Mary’s looking for a first win under Rafa Benitez. Meanwhile, at Vicarage Road, Everton will hope to arrest their recent poor form against a Watford outfit that have already lost their last four.

Manchester City are the league’s last participants in the Champions League and are fortunate to be facing West Brom at the Etihad. On Sunday, Leicester City make a trip to the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland have drawn four successive matches, whilst Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have decisions to make at home to Stoke, with one eye perhaps on the Europa League second-leg clash with Borussia Dortmund. Finally, Manchester United travel to Tottenham in a match that could have a significant influence on both sides’ final positions.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar pricing and scoring system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Thibaut Courtois (5m)
Charlie Daniels (4.5m)
Scott Dann (5m)
Nicolas Otamendi (6.5m)
Manuel Lanzini (5m)
Yannick Bolasie (6m)
Kevin De Bruyne (10.5m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Graziano Pelle (8m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Thibaut Courtois: A 4-0 win at Villa took Chelsea’s unbeaten run to 15 matches under interim boss Guus Hiddink. The Blues have impressed on the road in particular, conceding only two goals in seven away ties, and their number one offers a safe and comparatively inexpensive route into the Dutchman’s defence for Saturday’s trip to Swansea.

Scott Dann: Although Crystal Palace have failed to record a clean sheet in 12 league outings, the visit of a Norwich side that have netted in only three of their last ten away trips means Alan Pardew’s backline have a reasonable chance of keeping the Canaries out. Dann also offers a serious threat from set-pieces, having scored five already this campaign.

Kevin De Bruyne: The Belgian has made an immediate impact on his return to action, scoring in both Man City’s matches over the last week. Remarkably, all nine of De Bruyne’s assists in the league this season have arrived at the Etihad, which bodes well for his prospects as Manuel Pellegrini’s troops welcome West Brom to the Etihad.

Graziano Pelle: With the threat of relegation looming, Newcastle have to go for three points on their visit to St Mary’s, which should leave plenty of space for the Saints to exploit. Before blanking at the King Power, Pelle looked back in form, having served up three goals and two assists in the previous two outings against Liverpool and Stoke.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the weekly standard fantasy game and the Flash mode.

The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at Upton Park, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.

In the run-up to the Grand Finale in Gameweek 38, which has a £5,000 pot on offer, it’s possible to enter a qualifier this week for a £3.30 stake to win an entry ticket worth £33.

LAST WEEK

I finished in the top half of the Double-up entrants, which provided the majority of my winnings for the week. Frustratingly my 81 points in the Grand Weekend contest was a single point from the money places. Awd2 had a six-point lead at the summit with a total of 102 in the Grand Weekend – captaining Alexis Sanchez delivered 26 points, while picking West Ham midfield duo Dimitri Payet (nine points) and Manuel Lanzini (ten points) also paid off.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering The Grand Weekend, the freerolls, the Double-up contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £15.40.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Geordienufc1, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.

Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Awd2 also topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 103 points. Alexis Sanchez was his captain once again, while Pedro’s 16 points from midfield illustrates how picking one or two differentials in your line-up can deliver rewards.

FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

I personally think Iwobi is a transfer waiting to happen. Awkward too as no replacement in his price range so will require 2 transfers to get rid.

Migs in goal could enable Jagielka instead of Sakho but will eat up a transfer that otherwise isn't needed to field 11 on gw35.

I did quite fancy double Utd defence and don't think the fixtures are as bad as that. Leicester has got 0-0 all over it

Hi all - horribly long rate my WC potentials coming up.. I understand if you want to skip it 😀 But the logic might be interesting anyhow. I've got 4 options mainly revolving around debates over Mahrez, Firminio, KBD, Ozil and Mignolet.

    1) Darlow, Robles
    Bellerin, Simpson, Delaney, Lovren, Gabriel
    Coutinho, KDB, Payet, Sanchez, Firmino
    Aguero, Lukaku, Rashford
    - Payet and Lukaku for Barkley and Kane – 35
    Lukaku back in 36
Payet for KDB – 37 and Delaney for Cresswell/Smalling

    2) Darlow, Robles
    Bellerin, Simpson, Clichy, Lovren, Gabriel
    Coutinho, Firmino, Payet, Sanchez, Mahrez
    Aguero, Lukaku, Martial
Lukaku and Martial for Defoe and Kane
    Lukaku back in 36
Mahrez and defender For Barkley and Cresswell/Smalling

    3) Mignolet, Robes
    Bellerin, Simpson, Clichy, Reid, Gabriel
    Coutinho, KDB, Payet, Sanchez, Mahrez
    Aguero, Lukaku, Rashford

    4) And finally the Ozil one
    Mignolet, Robes
    Bellerin, Simpson, Clichy, Reid, Delaney
    Coutinho, Ozil, Payet, Sanchez, Mahrez
    Aguero, Lukaku, Rashford

Both 3 and 4 are set up for Firm and Kane in for Lukaku and Payet in 35. I’m leaning towards 3 at the moment although 1 would make for a fun double.

I'm not sold on the United defence because of 33, 35 and 36 and because only Smalling seems certain of starts. So I've decided to avoid them despite the 1-2 clean sheet potential of the double.

    This GW:
A: Which one of these do I bench: Fuchs, Daniels or Bellerin?

B: Which one of these do I bench: Payet, Özil, Coutinho or Firmino?

Arsenal fans, is Cech the undisputed #1 keeper?

    (Ospina hasn't done anything wrong)

Of course, should go straight back in to the starting line up. Ospina has done well though.

Toby, Alli and Kane all likely to drop in price tonight? Not much wiggle room in my plans for next GW.

Who is more likely to start both games this week?

    Zaha or Sako?

Wick ham had 4goals in 2 games before getting injured. He should be straight back in the starting lineup right?

    How's this looking guys?

    Darlow | Robles

    Sakho | Gabriel | Darmian | Delaney | Simpson

    Alexis | Payet | KdB | Coutinho | Lennon

    Lukaku | Aguero | Mitrovic

    - 14 for the DGW.
    - 9 for the short game week, but will have 2 FTs in hand.

    - Should I swap Lennon/Darmian > Lanzini/Smalling?
