Fresh from a confidence-boosting draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Manchester City invite West Bromwich Albion to the Etihad Stadium. The Sky Blues tasted defeat in three of their last four home ties, while the Baggies are unbeaten in three road clashes.

Courtesy of two 4-0 wins, Manchester ranked joint-third for goals (eight), second for attempts (78) and top for shots inside the box (53) across their last four matches. Offering further incentive to invest in the Sky Blues’ attack, they’ve amassed nine more goals (39) than any team in home encounters. Conversely, Manuel Pellegrini’s squad have struggled to batten down the hatches on familiar soil, surrendering the tenth-most big chances (24) while managing just five clean sheets.

Underlining their paucity of attacking threat, West Brom ranked joint-bottom for attempts (33), bottom for shots inside the box (17), joint-bottom for big chances (two) and bottom for shots on target (five) across their previous four fixtures. With regards to their defensive prospects, only four teams have conceded fewer goals in away ties than the Baggies (16), which suggests that the hosts are unlikely to deliver a thrashing.

Just like that Aguero does what Lukaku didn't granted from the spot.

At least I have them both 🙂

Reckon Cech will win his place back?

He has to after that. You can't bench Cech.

Next weeks fortunes will 100% be determined by whether you captained the right guy between Sanchez and Aguero.

Only 2 choices imo and will be crucial.

CL progress by City may make the decision difficult - will be play 2 games in a week if they progress to Semi final?

      1. Mickey Tyrion™
        10 years, 6 months ago

Yeah but regardless. Aguero with 2 opportunities, one being Newcastle, is terrifying not to captain..

    2. siweltrebor87
      10 years, 6 months ago

Payet could easily be captain next week too.

      1. Mickey Tyrion™
        10 years, 6 months ago

Not enough end product. Looked like the best player on the pitch today but didn't produce points. Last game was a brilliant free kick but nothing from open play. I don't think I would count on him to produce over one of the other 2 who could explode.

Only 25.3% of the OVERALL teams have played their WC*. But 33.3% have already used the bench boost chip.
72.2% of the Top 10K have played their WC*. Half have already used their bench boost chip.

*Doesn't mean for this week GW, means they have played the second WC in any period they could play it.

      1. Fred54
        10 years, 6 months ago

From the ACTIVE sample of teams (where atleast 1 FT has been made in the last 4 GWs)

49.4% have played WC number 2, but good news for us is that 53.3% have played the BB chip already.

Sorry meant to say the WC played stat doesn't apply just to this week, but includes any time the 2nd WC has been played.

Low, but not out of the question entirely. If Man City can't get ahead, his introduction is inevitable.

If Yaya is properly fit he may be keen to get some running into his legs ahead of the CL you'd think.

My mini league rival is 12 points ahead. He has no chips only WC but he only played Siggy and armband Kun today. 3 lei and Spurs left as well as 2 utd and 1 pool. Got me in serious trouble I think.
