Fresh from a confidence-boosting draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Manchester City invite West Bromwich Albion to the Etihad Stadium. The Sky Blues tasted defeat in three of their last four home ties, while the Baggies are unbeaten in three road clashes.

Courtesy of two 4-0 wins, Manchester ranked joint-third for goals (eight), second for attempts (78) and top for shots inside the box (53) across their last four matches. Offering further incentive to invest in the Sky Blues’ attack, they’ve amassed nine more goals (39) than any team in home encounters. Conversely, Manuel Pellegrini’s squad have struggled to batten down the hatches on familiar soil, surrendering the tenth-most big chances (24) while managing just five clean sheets.

Underlining their paucity of attacking threat, West Brom ranked joint-bottom for attempts (33), bottom for shots inside the box (17), joint-bottom for big chances (two) and bottom for shots on target (five) across their previous four fixtures. With regards to their defensive prospects, only four teams have conceded fewer goals in away ties than the Baggies (16), which suggests that the hosts are unlikely to deliver a thrashing.

    Mignolet
    Reid, Bellerin, Rojo, Sakho
    Payet, Sanchez (c), Coutinho, Lanzini
    Lukaku, Aguero

    Robles, Mahrez *, Kane*, Simpson*,

Three West Ham seems daft with the fact they don't play in 35, same with Rojo, who rarely plays 90 mins either. Darmian is a better United option. I'd have only two from West Ham but expect to transfer one out in 35.

Really didn't want too and wouldn't of done but the 2 games meant I deemed him a better bet than Lennon.

Not sure I'll bother with him for his next DGW, so he will most likely troll me as per.

I'm typically a risk taker but it just hasn't worked lately. Just about hanging on to 10K but things haven't got my way.

My balls were found wanting this week.

Sanchez (TC) next week I think...

I can't help but think I've weakened my team using the WC. Sat just outside of top 2k at the moment. Sanchez cap is a good call I'm stuck between him, Kun and Martial

I held my WC because I felt it was slightly early to dismantle everything.

With the various 35 blanks I wasn't too taken with some of the options. Decided to just take it apart targeting 37. We'll see how it pans out.

Will have (what I consider to be) 8 premium DGW options plus Mahrez, Alde, Fuchs. I'm ok with that for now.

If Cout and Firmino both blank or barely feature tomorrow, I guess many will be cursing their wildcards. Equally will probably be fine after 34 but in the short term at least.

I've got 5.4 to replace, Jags for a hit.

A: Darmian but be a man short in 35
B: Clyne but max out on LIV spots leaving no space for Studge later
C: Suggest other (not Arsenal, preferably a 34 doubler that plays 35)

          Let's needlessly over complicate this.

Its really hard to predict, but I prefer Arsenal at home than I do City away. Maybe KdB will change things and Silva will actually turn up and help Aguero...but Arsneal at home will want to smash it, but will theybe motivated for these games?

City play PSG midweek before the Chelsea game. What if they get mauled? What if they put all their effort into that game and are tired for Chelsea, although if they progress past PSG they would be on a high...

Didn't Aguero get his 5 against Newcastle.

Still I'd only use Triple C on a player who is at home.

City don't have the best form away from home either.

If their defence play like they did today then Aguero might have a field day. Although if Pellegrini plays Bony as well then it might not work out as well for him

Martial is really tempting me, could just be a 'sod it' decision

Yep, right now just so annoyed with this game that I might yolo it, but have a week to think about it.

Is that the cheap Chinese black market knock off version?

It's not such a disaster after all.

My mini league leader is telling me about his wildcard plans this week and how he is going to triple captain. Little does he know that he cant play two chips in one week. Hope he wildcards tonight so he has no other options 😀

I don't care. Not my fault he doesn't know how to play the game.

Gracious of Aguero to applaud that Bony pass, wonder what he was really thinking? 🙂

Out of interest did anyone actually triple captain Lukaku today?

Anyone watching a stream with double audio? So far, I've had Aussie Football Rules commentary, adverts for B&Q, and it's currently cricket commentary. It's slightly surreal. I just look at the pictures.

I know. I'm not complaining. I just said it was surreal.

This time last year Chelsea were top with 77 points and City were 4th with 64 points - the pack are getting closer and TV money is levelling the playing field
