Rounding off the weekend’s entertainment, there are a quartet of teams battling for supremacy at opposite ends of the country. Liverpool search for their first in win three outings when they host Stoke City, while Tottenham Hotspur duel with Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool’s attack is in fine fettle ahead of their double next Gameweek, given that they managed the joint-third-most goals (eight) and second-most shots on target (27) over their last four matches. However, prospective investors will be concerned that the Reds possess the joint-third-worst shot-conversion rate (8%) in home matches. As for the Potters, they’ve recorded one clean sheet in 10 matches yet conceded the joint-second-fewest big chances (two) across their previous four fixtures.

Spurs maintained their attacking dominance during the last four Gameweeks, registering the joint-third-most goals (eight), most attempts (80), joint-most big chances (10) and most shots on target (31). As for the Red Devils, they ranked joint-third-bottom for goals (three), third-bottom for attempts (36), second-bottom for shots inside the box (18) and joint-third-bottom for shots on target (10), augmenting the Lilywhites’ clean-sheet prospects.

Not losing my head, hard to take but not the end of the world. Old team ahead by maybe 25 points, but still 3 Everton players left. The likes of KBD, Coutinho and the Liverpool defenders being rested was not easily predictable so not blaming myself. Rivals without Wildcard picked up problems like Barkley & Jags which they were counting on from DWG coverage.

This week was always going to be weird going in with your DGW team a week early and no one truly expected the form players would stop scoring to accommodate us. Still hopeful.

      Me too. See below.

A lot of overreacting on here I think. It was always likely to be a difficult week, having to play the WC ahead of BB.

      • 10 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

Do you think Coutinho will play both DGW games though?

  10. Hect.OR 98th

    10 years, 2 months ago

Despite selling Huth, Vardy, Toby and Alli, I'm only 19 points behind last week's team. With four players including my captain to go, that's not so bad, and I'm well set up for next week with 2 FTs for GW35.

It's not as bad as it seems. I still think veterans will come out ahead of casuals over weeks 33-35.

This. Only 20 or so points, lost. Had many like Bellerin, Payet, Aguero anyway. The kicker was several transfers in didn't start. Still confident.

Not going to kneejerk with my WC picks from this week, if I make a transfer, it'll be hard to field 11 in GW35, so I'm going to stick with the original plan. A freak GW, calm down all, most in the same boat.

The issue is that it's not a freak GW, but the routine too.

Alder scoring alot of points. Alli scoring. A Leicester clean sheet. Vardy scoring and Ozil points.

All these are demonstrative of the pattern of the season and many (me included) have ditched form and consistency for short term picks who happen to play a game or more, but pretty much all of whom are rotation risks because of other competitions.

This WC we set up was based on DGW in 34 and GW 35 blanks. Alot of people who benefited this week will be down next week and the week after. Im not worried. Darmian didnt start. That looked like a disaster, but will Mensah coming off. He'll more than likely start both games.

people on WC and BB next week, relax! If you have 15 dgw players and they all play, even without them scoring (unlikely) you're sure to have 62 points...minimum. Trust the Process.
