Have we fallen hook, line and sinker? After taking a beating by a cast of talent sacrificed in our Gameweek 33 Wildcards, it certainly feels we’ve obliviously wandered over a trapdoor and slammed back down to earth.

We’re back up to full strength in the ScoutCast as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to compare the bruises inflicted by our Gameweek 33 refresh. We endevour to remain optimistic, clinging to the hope that the Gameweek 34 bench boost chip will deliver and help us balm the damage from a disastrous weekend.

Judging by the line of questioning from the community, we’re not the only ones smarting. The four of us pick through your bout of queries, before looking ahead the weekend and the Gameweek that could yet revive our seasons.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

You can view the full “hangout” version via the second player below or stream the edited audio from this link or the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Cout > KDB or will he be rested too 🙁

    1. Boydinho

he surely wont play 90 in GW35

    2. Beautiful Game

why are you thinking of transferring out cout? Did he get injured last night?

There seems to be a bit of a weirdly accepted logic around here regarding hits. I see a lot of people discouraging moves because "you've already taken a 4/8 point hit".

Realistically we should all be analysing whether that individual move is likely to pay off irrespective of whether it's for no hit or a 12 point hit!

I have a potential 12 point hit coming up. Scary stuff! But if you break it down with logic one hit at a time it is probably worth it -

Daniels, Wolly, Lennon, Lukaku > Smalling, Otamendi, Milner, Mitrovic

    1. FFFrog
      10 years, 6 months ago

      Don't drop Kaku

      Couldn't agree more.

    3. NobleBlackman
      10 years, 6 months ago

I agree, I'm gonna be riding a good -12 hit tonight as well, but the benefits gained should outweight the cost.

Lukaku, Ozil, Mahrez, Williams, Daniels -> Martial, Sanchez, Firmino, Bellerin, Fosu-Mensah

It's best to go out with a bang than a whimper my friends

      1. Backup Dancer
        10 years, 6 months ago

That's 12 point hit can very easily backfire. I'd just do the two defenders out for DGW defenders with your free transfers.

      2. Squiggle
        10 years, 6 months ago

I can't say those were clearly good moves. But if you're chasing, and it's just a game afterall!

    GTG? Bench booster ON

    Robles
    Bellerin Smalling Sakho Fuchs
    Sanchez(c) Payet Coutinho Iwobi
    Aguero(vc) Kane Lukaku

    (Mignolet Kane Simpson Mahrez)

    11/15 players with DGW

    Coutinho or firminho

Who gets more points gw 34&35?

Who gets more minutes gw 34&35?

I think Coutinho because he got a rest

      1. GK

Everyone selling Lukaku for a hit is going to regret it. He's probably going to play twice.

      This

    2. Mata-Is-The-Juan

I'd expect nothing less from Trollkaku. It's the not knowing if keeping him or selling him is what does you in that kills you.

    3. Ivanov Itch
      10 years, 6 months ago

He will play twice - 2 points and 2 points.

Everton look woeful at the moment cant see em scoring

If you think that, then fair enough. I don't think there's enough other options to be worth the gamble, but hey.

        1. Ivanov Itch
          10 years, 6 months ago

Neither do I although I am tempted by Carroll. It's only the GW35 blank that's putting me off at the moment.

    4. NobleBlackman
      10 years, 6 months ago

His and Everton's form is abysmal, logic would suggest we get rid

    5. drughi
      10 years, 6 months ago

Plus another dgw soon and good fixtures around that dgw, seems a bit odd to get rid

    6. Backup Dancer
      10 years, 6 months ago

He's had arsenal at home then 3 away games in a row.

Now he has a home game against southampton and a derby where anything can happen.

      I'm keeping.

      1. Andrew

Was it a training ground knock then, there was no mention of this after the Palace game?

  11. Ivanov Itch

Got Lukaku and reluctantly keeping for the DGW, want Martial in too.

Question is who do I get rid of - Vardy or Kane?

    1. NobleBlackman
      10 years, 6 months ago

If you can afford to keep Kane and get Martial, then get rid of Vardy. His fixtures are toughening up and Leicester still look to be playing that grit it out style

Members - the team with the highest cross completion rate over the last six game weeks plays the team with the highest crosses conceded from the left and the 4th highest on the right. Suggests a certain good pick who then has a plum second gw fixture to follow

If those crosses are being conceded by Leicester, I'm fairly sure that's almost a deliberate ploy, because Huth and Morgan can handle them.

Still, Andy is a different beast.

      1. FeverPitch
        10 years, 6 months ago

Yeah fair point, you've gotta like the idea of him attacking multiple Payet and Cresswell crosses against a team allowing them to come in though!

    Arsenal (CRY , WBA) - Gabriel , Bellerin , Sanchez(C)

    Liverpool ( bou , EVE) - Sakho , Coutinho , Firmino

add there Kun , Payet , Lanzini , Darlow and Robles

waht could possibly go wrong 😉 ?
