Tuesday evening serves up a solitary fixture as Gameweek 34 moves into the fourth of a marathon six-day stretch. Newcastle gave their survival bid a real shot in the arm with a vital 3-0 home win over Swansea on Saturday but face a tough task at St James’ against a City side that have scored seven times in their previous couple of road trips.

The visitors arrive in sparkling form after a Sergio Aguero hat-trick swept aside Chelsea at the Bridge in the first of their two Gameweek 34 fixtures. Over their respective last four matches, Manuel Pellegrini’s men sit joint-top with Arsenal for attempts inside the box (47) and have found the net on nine occasions. Considering that their hosts have conceded 37 shots inside the box over that period – a tally worse than only two other sides, United and West Ham with 40 apiece – and City’s prospects of more goals seems likely.

Newcastle have scored seven times in their last four, though have been boosted by a goal conversion rate of 14.9% during that time frame – only Arsenal (16.1%) have been more clinical. A total of 27 efforts inside the penalty area fares poorly when compared to this evening’s opponents, though. Indeed, bearing in mind that City have the second-most resilient defence for efforts conceded in the box (20 to Tottenham’s 19), Newcastle may well have their work cut out to deliver another precious three points.

Aguero clearly doesn't want KDB to get any points.

So we all got KDB in when at half the price we could have got Alli in who basically is up front for a team giving it there all.

For DGW37 I'm ignoring the hype and keeping the likes of Kane, Alli, Aguero etc against the DGWers. It's destroyed my good work by chasing the big hauls with average players or ones that are rotated.

Gonna play it almost casual in 37 as that seems the way to go.

Did the same. But don't think keeping in form SGW'ers should be called a casual thing to do.

Think I'm just going to look into form of players. In hindsight I should of never dumped Toby, Alli & Kane, even my gut told me not too but I chased the proposed double hauls. Klopp then decided to play a second string, Kun bucked his mediocre away form by completely smashing it and My 3 Ex Spurs players basically out scored my Liverpool picks.

There's gonna be too much rotation in W37 and the teams aren't that good anyway

A string of green arrows brought me up to the ~50k ranks, now my lack of Agüero is taking its toll big time. See you guys next season 😛

You can only get lucky without Aguero for so long before the house gets you.

When he has played more than 60 minutes Aguero has scored 760 FPL points in 118 games, which comes out as a rate of 6.44ppg. If he were to play 38 games a season that equates to 245 points in an _average_ Aguero full season. This puts him right up there in the pantheon of FPL gods alongside Henry, Ronaldo, Lampard, RVP, Bale and Suarez.

Here ends the lesson, praise be to Aguero.

What do we think of this lineup then for GW35....

    Hart
    Bellerin - Fuchs - Sakho - Simpson*
Sanchez - De Bruyne - Alli*
    Aguero - Kane - Sturridge*

    Gomes - Gabriel - Payet - Lanzini

Costs me -8 to lose Delaney, Coutinho and Mitrovic for the starred players.

Feels much more nailed than the players I'm losing, and Delaney has to go anyway. Need to save 0.1 on Delaney to fund the other moves.

    Worth the hit??
