Tuesday evening serves up a solitary fixture as Gameweek 34 moves into the fourth of a marathon six-day stretch. Newcastle gave their survival bid a real shot in the arm with a vital 3-0 home win over Swansea on Saturday but face a tough task at St James’ against a City side that have scored seven times in their previous couple of road trips.

The visitors arrive in sparkling form after a Sergio Aguero hat-trick swept aside Chelsea at the Bridge in the first of their two Gameweek 34 fixtures. Over their respective last four matches, Manuel Pellegrini’s men sit joint-top with Arsenal for attempts inside the box (47) and have found the net on nine occasions. Considering that their hosts have conceded 37 shots inside the box over that period – a tally worse than only two other sides, United and West Ham with 40 apiece – and City’s prospects of more goals seems likely.

Newcastle have scored seven times in their last four, though have been boosted by a goal conversion rate of 14.9% during that time frame – only Arsenal (16.1%) have been more clinical. A total of 27 efforts inside the penalty area fares poorly when compared to this evening’s opponents, though. Indeed, bearing in mind that City have the second-most resilient defence for efforts conceded in the box (20 to Tottenham’s 19), Newcastle may well have their work cut out to deliver another precious three points.

KDB one awful shot so far. In Europe 2 goals. He's got to go, especially as he's a rotation risk.

Why are some people always complaining? This is just a game!
Sanchez was the only reasonable triple (C) for this week, and if you also have Aguero than it is almost perfect.
And Sanchez will produce atleast a 1 goal on wendsday night.
This somehow remined me on last year Benteke hat-trick 🙂
    Cheers to all!

Personally speaking, as a serial Aguero (C) whose put up with many a blank from him its a real kick in the stomach not to have him as captain for the only time I overlooked him this season.

I agree "for the most part." Aguero was an ideal TC choice a few weeks back but no one expected City to make the CL semi's. I definitely didn't expect a hat trick at the Bridge and I definitely do not expect him to play more than 60 minutes today but I'll be wrong. Oh well..

Just curious for all non-captaining aguero owners like myself... what was your reason for not captaining or TC ageuro?
Me... i thought there was a high probability he would be rested for one of the games/ play both but come off early, & because of citys poorer away form.
Went with arsenal cz of home fixtures so was expecting a goal fest & clean sheets.

      - Skeptical about City's away form considering how they've been all season
      - Sanchez more guaranteed to play both games, seeing as Arsenal had no other competitions.

Same. Aguero could have more than 1.

That would put him on exactly 100pts after baps.

          If TCed of course 🙂

          On 66 + 3 (60m) + 9 (baps) + 24 (2 goals) = 102pts

(forgot to triple the 60m point!)

Well he got 51 on Sat, so surely he'd score 102?

KDB needs to produce or will turn out to be a poor selection on WC.

    Everything backfired.

Mitro not starting is another blow to my week. I've sewn up my leagues and at 3k, was hoping for a 1k finish. Looks out of reach now, especially once I've patched my team up for the run in.

    Still love this game though.
