Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

    RMT pls:

    Mignolet (Darlow)
    Bellerin, Gabriel, Fuchs, Simpson, Lovren
    Mahrez, Alli, Coutinho, Payet, Lanzini
    Aguero, Lukaku, Kane

Thinking of taking a 4 point hit this week:
    Lukaku + Payet ---> Defore + Sanchez

Why is everyone selling Coutinho? Isn't it just a complete guess that Coutinho won't start vs Newcastle? Villareal is 5 days after that game, I think it would be strange to rest him again when he's just been rested vs Bournemouth

If the funds elsewhere help to get in a player in form e.g. Sanchez, Kane, Aguero I would go for it

Will Kolarov retain his starting spot ahead of Clichy this weekend?

Not cheap, but a goal, assist and two clean sheets in last 4 games, and playing a horribly out of form and porous Stoke. His cross for Aguero's header v Newcastle was a beaut.

If you really have no other issues you can punt on Kolarov, but Clichy is apparently fit again and I would expect Kolarov to play maybe 2 of the next 4 matches.

For this weekend alone, it's 50/50.

Did not notice Lovren oops 😛

I would then get Defoe ...

I'm thinking about Willian. If anyone is nailed, it should be him. However I have mentioned him on here, and I am definitely in the minority in thinking about him.

    Would you rather

    Luk > Kane with

    Cout > Alli or

    Martial > Defoe

hey guys I was hoping you can offer some advice

which one out of the below looks the best move?

    1. Coutinho, Martial to Alli and Kane free
    2. KDB, Martial, Lukaku, to Alli, Kane and sturridge -4
    3. Lanzini, Martial, Lukuaku to Alli, Kane, Defoe -4

      3. Defoe is going to explode. Sturridge too much rotation risk. Now without Origi, he will be the striker starting in EL

1 out of those options. I don't like Sturridge yet (rotation) and Defoe has Arsenal this week.
