Possibly. It's one game however, Chelsea have been really poor of late so I want to see more good stuff in 36 before buying in.

Any thoughts on this WC draft will be helpful 🙂

    DDG Gomes
    Cresswell, PVA, Moreno, Bennett, Ivanovic
    Payet, Firmino, Sanchez, Lanzini, Alli
    Sturridge, Kane, Lukaku

Still not sure if I want to keep the double Spurs or switch for players with DGW, will re-assess after Monday.
Ivanovic rubbish, I know, but thinking about some fun punt for the double. Probably Baines instead ?

Alli > Hazard would be a fun punt! Lukaku > Defoe/Deeney

Cheers. If I decide to lose Alli it will be for a Chelsea mid for sure.
Hazard/ Fab. The one downgraded for that will be either Lukaku or Kane, form vs fixtures.

I do think Carroll or Defoe are much better choices than Lukaku who has nothing to fight for. He might go blank all the way.

Carroll - fighting for Europe placing, and Euro 2016 chance in squad perhaps.

Defoe - fighting for survival, and a contract to another club in case Sunderland goes down perhaps.

Same dilemma here with a WC. On the one hand I want to play safe and keep 3 Spurs + Townsend + Sanchez, but a little naughty voice keeps telling me to go full 15 DGWers.

Baines I would personally avoid as RM prefer Oviedo I think. Coleman's injury probably forced him to play. Actually Everton is very inconsistent. No telling which Everton will turn up now that they are out of the FA Cup.

I prefer Azpilicueta to Ivanovic. I think the former is more consistent. Ivanovic now plays in CB sometimes and that takes his attacking threat out.

My WC team atm is: I think it'll change for sure.

      DDG Mannone
      Alderweireld PVA Cresswell Fuchs Cathcart
      Payet Alli Townsend Firmino Sanchez
      Carroll Defoe Kane

Oh, Carroll's price will rise in about half an hours' time. Switch Lukaku to Carroll first. You can always decide to get him back later if you really want the Troll.

        Cheers mate.
I think RM will let Baines play the last few games as Everton have nothing to play for, and Baines is fighting for a last chance place in the Euro squad, but yeah I agree he is risky.

Totally forgot that Ivan is playing as a CB lately, will switch to Azpi, thanks.

For your team I wouldn't keep Fuchs as Leicester have 2 hard away games in the last three, townsend has very good fixtures but I would prefer a DGW mid over him, probably Chelsea if can afford.
The Spurs trio are the tricky ones, not sure what to do with them.

        1. Kai
          • 10 Years
          9 years, 11 months ago

Thanks. Leicester's last 3 are tough. Townsend is more for Palace and Villa as I think he might go double figures. But I will need to sell him in 38 perhaps for Ozil against Villa again lol.

I'm thinking Hazard too, but Chelsea is putting me off with their rotations, and that they face Spurs in 36 and Leicester in 38. Away games to Sunderland and Liverpool also doesn't look too good, as Sunderland is fighting for their lives and Liverpool's 2nd match means high chance they'll play first teamers.

One last thing is that I'm thinking Toby to Rose or Walker as the later 2 has more attacking threat. Cheers.

Moreno & Firmino & Studge are rotation worries.
      Bennett? Tight budget?
Ivan at CB seems shorn of attacking points and fun puntiness. But don't replace with Baines--nothing about Everton these days says "fun".
You have reason to believe that Lukaku will be returned from the land of the dead?

      1. Kai
        • 10 Years

Yeah I would avoid Norwich defense too.

Cheers, not really tight budget but I fancy Norwich will get a cleannie in the double and will bench him in GW36 and 38, not sure which defender though.

Forgot that Ivan is a CB nowadays, will be gone.

The only reason I am thinking about Lukaku is BOU, dgw, NOR

        Thanks for your input 🙂

On for a nice return again on my bets if Leicester win, Sánchez scores and/or Tottenham win. Biggest profit is if Tottenham win.

            I have 3 bets going:

            1) City, Southampton, Leicester and Tottenham (2/4)
            2) City, United, Real, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham (4/5)
            3) Sánchez-goal

Think number two will go in, which is the one with the biggest profit. I am not sure about Leicester thought in bet number 1, but Sánchez-goal is a real possibility with his current goalscoring form.

This may sound like FFscout Heresy but I think its time we sold Kun. SOU (A) , ARS (H) , SWAN (A) is his last games. Especially for WC'rs like me as it gives as much more budget to spread round our team.

Keeping for one more week. But I'm in the minority that agrees with you. Depends on what you prioritize though, if keeping a ML lead you may want to hold tight. If trying to gain ground in overall rank, maybe punt on letting him go.. Jmo

Curious. Why pay the premium for Cresswell over someone like Ogbonna? Feel like it's trendy around here to pay for the more premium defender, but for what? ..a slim chance at an attacking return? They're both nailed..

If punting for just a couple weeks and DGW, one may want the funds and just hope both of their points equal out with clean sheets.

How many more points do you think Cresswell gets over Ogbonna from now till end of season? I wouldn't guess more than 5.

Suarez now has 34 goals in just 32 League Appearances.

    Contrast that with Ronaldo's 31 goals in 34, Messi's 25 goals in 30, and Neymar's 23 goals in 31.

Just saying, best striker in the World at the moment.

So if real madrid were given 4 more penalties and ronaldo scored from them all that would be definitive evidence to say that he's the best striker in the world?

Ronaldo isn't a striker though, he's a winger. Different position.

              9 years, 11 months ago

Ronaldo is an out an out striker. He may notionally line up wide but when they're on the ball he's right in the thick of it.

Just because he's involved doesn't make him an out and out striker. He's still a left winger.

Been absolutely phenomenal for the last 5 years now.. Not at the level of Ronaldo or Messi but let's face it no one can compete with those guys consistently.. this year he has done that and taken his goal scoring to another level.. actually pretty similar to Cristiano when you take his 16 goals in 10 champions league games into account.. For me Suarez would of been favourite for the Ballon d'or until Barca got dumped out of Europe..

        • 12 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

Well said Nidge, though honestly I think that 2013/14 season was right up there too for the number of games he played. 31 goals, 12 assists and 9 (?) penalties won in 33 games. If he'd been on penalties it'd have been an uncatchable tally for a Premier League season.

        1. KingNidge

I'm not even gunna check the numbers that season but yeah i'll give you that not a problem simple because 30 plus goals in the Prem is worth 40 or 50 in Spain imo.. I have the utmost respect for Suarez as a player because like Ronaldo he tore England apart when he arrived then went to Spain and did just the same obviously with a higher volume of goals simply goals are easier to come by in La Liga.. I respect Messi's talents and he is an utter genius but he has been wrapped in a Barcelona comfort blanket his whole career so to speak... i am fine with anyone who think's Messi is the best it's all about opinions but for me Ronaldo is the best footballer to have ever played the game..

Agree with this. Until Messi does it in another league (preferably England), then I'll always have Ronaldo above him.

Messi would get absolutely crunched in England.

It would be tough for him like it was for Ronaldo at the start he was targetted early on and came in for some awful treatment some of which he brought on himself by showboating and diving admittedly.. but he was tough he built himself up came through it and made himself into the worlds best at United..

The 3rd placed team will have to do the playoffs. It would be terrible if they lost to one of the weaker sides but it happens

          • 12 Years
          9 years, 11 months ago

Yeah the playoffs can be a lottery. Makes it more interesting for the worse teams but I'd be gutted if my team came 3rd and then didn't win the playoffs.

Should we transfer asap then for the likes of Mitro to Caroll/Defoe/Deeney, Coutinho/Firminio to Payet/Wilian and Sahko/Gabriel to Cresswell/Fuchs/Aanolt/Azpi?

        • 12 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

Well Carroll and Fuchs have just risen so they won't rise again soon. Check out this for when players are next likely to rise: http://fantasyfootballfix.com/price/

Beware though it's not a perfect algorithm so if any player is nearing 90% they are at risk of rising.

Ah yes! I forgot about that website. Thanks! Part of me likes to wait until all the GW games are finished before doing transfers, part of me likes to wait all week for FFS articles and the other part of me likes to transfer asap. Think I'll trade Sunday/Monday this week given the obvious transfers standing out. The golden Liverpool DGW plays and the Newcastle

Nidge's just got all of them. Beattie, Saha, Bent, Viduka, Aguero. One of those players has been seriously overlooked for years!

sO what if he only gets 30 games a season, if he bangs in 25 /26 goals he absolutely needs to be talked about for Player of the Year and should be a given in the team of the year.

He was already quite old when he joined Leeds I think then he took Middlesbrough on that insane run to the Europa final but I think he had dodgy knees that crocked him in the end.

Rip transferred in Pelle with my FT and he ends up not playing. Meaningless FT.

Don't think the chase is happening since I have 3 players that didn't play :< (Sakho, Nasri, Pelle)
4 Left for me: Bellern, Sanchez, Simpson, Gabriel

6 Left for him: Koscielny, Huth, Sanchez, Alli, Mahrez, Kane

Here's hoping Bellerin scores a hat trick.

Anyone care to take a look at this mess?
This is how id currently line up for next week

    Darlow

    Smalling Bellerin Gab Simpson

    Mane Lanzini Townsend Sanchez(c)

    Aguero(v) Studge

    Robles Mitro Cheek Sakho
4.3 itb 1FT (WC played, TC to play)

Id say my biggest two starting risks there are mane and studge( especially studge really cant see him playing here unless firm starts upfront in EL).Not overly keen on playing simpson either. I could use this as an excuse for some hits in prep for the doubles.

a). Cheek to Payet/ Chelsea mid (bench 1 of simpson/studge/mane)
    b). Mitro to Costa/Kane(bench 1 of simpson/studge/mane)
c). Mitro to defoe and cheek to payet(-4) (bench 2 of simpson/studge/mane).
    d) Mitro to carrol and cheek to fab (-4) (can only afford fab not pedro with this option )(bench 2 of simpson/studge/mane).
