Gylfi Sigurdsson will miss Swansea’s final two fixtures with a shoulder problem. Per Mertesacker is sidelined with a hamstring injury, Robert Huth and Marouane Fellaini are handed three-match bans by the FA, whilst Palace have concerns on the flanks for the visit of Watford.

Gareth Barry and Seamus Coleman have “an outside chance” of returning for the first match of Everton’s double as the Toffees head to Leicester this weekend. Roberto Martinez has conceded that Gerard Deulofeu is very likely to remain out for the season, though is hopeful that Phil Jagielka could return for the Gameweek 38 showdown against Norwich. Elsewhere at the back, Ramiro Funes Mori serves the last of a three-match suspension.

Per Mertesacker is sidelined for the final two matches with the hamstring problem that forced him off against Norwich last time out. Santi Cazorla stepped up his match fitness with a run out for the reserves earlier in the week, though Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for six to eight weeks with a knee problem.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (shoulder) and Neil Taylor (groin) are set to miss Swansea’s final two fixtures, whilst Ashley Williams “might not feature” in the trip to West Ham as he needs a rest, according to Francesco Guidolin. Jefferson Montero could also be sidelined due to a hamstring problem, though Leroy Fer could be set to return from a similar complaint. Alberto Paloschi (also hamstring) remains unavailable.

Bournemouth’s Adam Smith will miss the final two Gameweeks with an ongoing hernia problem. Cherries boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that Max Gradel is making “good progress” from a leg injury, though Sylvain Distin is sidelined with a back complaint.

Robert Huth starts the first of a three-match ban after being found guilty of violent conduct in Leicester’s clash with United last weekend. Danny Drinkwater serves a one match suspension, though Jamie Vardy returns from a two-match ban. Matty James is finally available for selection and could be part of the squad.

Tony Pulis has hinted that he “might make a few changes” as West Brom make their way to Bournemouth tomorrow.

Wilfried Zaha remains ruled out as Palace welcome Stoke to Selhurst Park. Yannick Bolasie is a slight doubt due to illness and Mile Jedinak is being monitored after sustaining a knock.

Bojan is a doubt for Stoke’s visit to Palace due to a foot problem, Mark Hughes has revealed. Marc Wilson remains sidelined for the Potters, whilst Glen Johnson is back in full training and could be in with a shout of returning next weekend.

Louis van Gaal will be without Marouane Fellaini for the final three league matches of the season after the Belgian was banned for his altercation with Robert Huth last weekend. The Dutchman went on to hint at rotating his squad over the double Gameweek as he looks to keep players fresh ahead of the FA Cup final.

Billy Jones is Sunderland’s only concern ahead of Chelsea’s weekend visit after picking up a hip problem.

Gabriel Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux have parted company with Newcastle by mutual consent ahead of the final two matches of the season.

    Looking at a -8pt hit.

        Cheers Cpt. I could get Carroll but with Payet & Lanzini already in I want to spread the risk, so Defoe looks the next best option.

            Yes I looked at Deeney but Watford don't score much away and Defoe will be more motivated to score.

    A) Cresswell in for Clichy. Play Coutinho and Martial. No hits. 7 dgwk's

    B) Play Bellerin. Coutinho and Martial to Hazard and Defoe -4. 6 dgwk's

    Current team:
    DDG, Darlow
    Cresswell, PvA, Simpson* (Bellerin, TFM)
    Payet, Townsend, Coutinho*, Iwobi* (Sanchez)
    Aguero, Kane*, Defoe.

    1 FT. Which transfers should I do?
    A) Kane --> Carroll
    B) Iwobi --> Hazard/Fab/Redmond
    C) Coutinho --> Hazard/Fab/Redmond
    D) Simpson --> Smalling

    Which option makes more sense?

    A) Kane, Lanzini, Rose > Carroll, Fabregas, Cresswell
    B) Kane, Firmino, Rose > Carroll, Hazard, Smalling

    A allows to bring in Cresswell as 3rd WHU player instead of Lanzini
    B means I'll have Hazard but can't bring in Cresswell.

    Cheers,

      I'd personally say B.

      Lanzini will play close to 180mins I'd have thought, Firmino probs 90 max. Hazard could be explosive and is in better form that Fab. Creswell isn't that important is he??

          Hot Shot Hamish was brilliant! I had one where he had a penalty competition against a continental star who could bend the ball in ridiculous fashion so it would basically do loops around the pitch before going where he wanted it to. The goals were twice as wide as normal with two goalkeepers. Hamish won, naturally.

      Sturridge is obviously an excellent choice but i don't trust Klopp's rotation policy..

        Oooo interesting. Currently on Deeney, will have a mull.

        Already will have Haz though and never been too keen on Costa haha. Cheers!

    From Carroll's blog:

    "I would love to stay among the goals and hopefully get into double figures before the end of the season – especially with the year I have had, but to get double figures would be great for me.

    I have a good record against Swansea and someone mentioned that I have four in four against them so hopefully I can continue that.

    I would love to repeat the goal I scored against them at the Liberty Stadium last season and it would be nice to make it five in five.

    Andy"

        United is poor in set pieces. Can't see Carroll being dropped.

        A brace/hattie at Swansea without Siggy, Williams, Polaschi, Montero and Taylor, and a goal and assist at united will be very sweet for TCers and captainers.

    -16.... Is this mad?
    Adrian (FFS!!) > Mannone
    Alderweireld > Cresswell
    Ozil > Hazard
    Alli > Townsend
    Kane > Carroll

    Mannone
    Fuchs PVA Cresswell
    Hazard Fabregas Townsend Payet
    Carroll (C) Defoe Lukaku
    Fabianski Sanchez Bellerin Targett
    Keep Kaku or out for Sturridge?

    Attacking 8 of:
    Payet Firmino Milner Mahrez Sanchez
    Aguero Carroll Lukaku
    1 FT
    Milner, Firmino, Lukaku may not play over 90 mins
    Mahrez should do well vs Everton
    Sanchez Aguero too good to bench.
    What to do, lads? (No AoA)

    Bench 1

    a) Mahrez
    b) Coutinho
    c) Kane

    Or get rid of 1 to get a dgwer for a hit?

    My chaser is 5 points behind, I have triple captain, but he has defoe as a differential. Do I do Kane > Defoe -4? (he doesnt have kane)

    Would make my lead only 1 point.

      I would say yes definitely.

      Defoe has a large upside with the DGW and fighting for relegation.

    Bottomed.

    Kane, Welbeck and KDB > Carroll, Defoe and Hazard worth a hit (when you're leading)?

        That was my feeling after seeing the stats defensively for Arsenal. Plus City played midweek.

        However, no Dembele or Alli- bad news for Kane?

    Will Redmond play both games. Had him at the beginning of the season and he kept getting dropped... His recent stats show he is liable to rotation too, so why would he start both in a short space of time when he is clearly not nailed
