After a dramatic final day for all the wrong reasons, the Fantasy Premier League season has been extended following the disturbing abandonment of the Manchester United and Bournemouth encounter.

It means that the situation at the top remains undecided, although from our calculations of the scheduled autosubs, Dimitri Nicolaou has preserved his lead by just a single point.

A member of the Fantasy Football Scout league, Dimitri went into the final day 18 points ahead of Jamie Fitzpatrick and 24 in front of Jack Manners.

While Jamie has fallen away with a disappointing tally of 26, Jack has dramatically closed the gap via his captaincy of Sadio Mane and has collected 57 points after autosubs, with Charlie Daniels yet to play.

It could have been even better: had both Ross Barkley or Aaron Lennon remained on the Everton bench, Jack would have collected an additional seven points from his third benched player, Michail Antonio.

Dimitri has mustered 34 points after autosubs having taken a 4-point hit; he elected instead to play his All-Out-Attack chip which was duly nullified by Philippe Coutinho’s no-show.

It appears that Dimitri remains a point ahead of Jack but with both Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford left to play in the re-arranged fixture, now confirmed for Tuesday May 17.

Ed Masters, a regular poster under the guise of “Mo Mane Mo Problems” and a full Fantasy Football Scout member, has climbed to third spot at this point.

Ed also captained Mane and produced a superb final day tally of 57 points following a hit; we make it that he’s eight points behind Dimitri with David de Gea still to play.

With the United and Bournemouth fixture to follow, there are still multiple scenarios that could see the top spots shuffle once again.

Louis van Gaal will surely consider playing a weakened lineup against the Cherries given that Manchester City have now sealed fourth spot and with the weekend FA Cup Final in mind.

David de Gea could be the only assured starter as he looks to claim the clean sheet which would see him contest the Golden Glove award with Arsenal’s Petr Cech.

Dimitri, Jack and Ed are currently left waiting on the outcome of Tuesday evening to see how it will fall. Until then, the FPL title remains in limbo.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If Martial gets 23 points I will break the top 10k, probably won't even play, I'd take a 1 pointer tbh

Where did you end up mate? Crack that 5k? I'm happy with the season, specially the finish, I just mean in general, I'm on here nearly every night between 12-2, always with a motive, wether it be price changes or reading comments, studying next moves, now I'm actually laying in bed, feeling a bit restless, strange.

Yeah i think so mate sitting at 4,415 with 4 points coming off the bench so should be enough to hold a top 5k finish... that after a bang average 45 this week no hits.. lol i knew you would be at a bit of a loss right now normally this is when you would be lining up your next hit haha.. be back at it soon

Nah, too much to do. I start work on a LAWR program for Doos tomorrow. It should take some strain off the man and maybe allow more leagues.

Also, excited for the Euros and League 2 Playoff Final 🙂

      Outstanding season!

Due a regression according to my SoT, SitB and CC analysis. Was getting goals/assist above the expected average for his level of stats.

Could come down in a Hazard shaped lump 😛

No penos will hurt if Vardy keeps them, but he was still second on this by the season long filter.

Doesn't take into account his appearances though. Something like 11th/12th for shots on target per appearance for regulars.

Iirc that season I used do a trixie bet every weekend (3x doubles and a treble) :

Henry, VanNistelrooy, Larsonn, first goalscorers, won on a good few occasions and no doubt up for the season. The good old days

Those 4 Terry seasons in the top 12 defensive seasons match the 4 seasons Mourinho completed as a manager at Chelsea. It seems the two £$%!s were made for each other. 🙂

I would like to thank Bolivian Seaman for your wonderful weekly articles on 'What The Fans Are Saying'. Armband was initially on Sanchez but shifted to Giroud upon hearing fans in the forums were favouring him to do well. Saved my GW38 or otherwise I would have fallen down to the 30-point mark with Defoe, Lovren, Aanholt and Payet not played. Bench boost was also used in a terrible way as I missed the deadline in GW34.

Damn thanks for that info, 3 point auto sub that is annoying

Guess I need DDG to outscore Smalling and Martial to be rested!

DDG missing out and getting Darlow 3 off the bench could be enough if Smalling misses out too

Anyone else used to love the first Call of Duty modern warfare (Cod4)? It's being remade for the PS4 and Xbox this November. Can't wait. Here's a trip down memory lane, with all the old weapons and perks revisited. https://youtu.be/FFmMjQFvMeo

Same mate, all the futuristic stuff ruined it, this is the best one, basic and simple but beautiful gameplay with brilliant maps and the best online multiplayer I've ever played.

Story of two seasons for me -

Quarter 1-3 was plagued with stubbornness, captain fails, unneccessary hits and benching mistakes. Ignored Mahrez and Vardy for majority of it, along with many other bandwagons. Sat at 460k in GW26, thinking top 100k would be the best I could hope for.

12 green arrows out of 13 followed. From 460k to 2k, stringing together a run that propelled me to 33rd in the world for Quarter 4 coming into this week. Felt I should punt on bringing Mane and Giroud (c) in, and just go for that top spot. That gave me a monster score, but unfortunately it looks like I'll just miss out on Number 1.

This goes to show the season can always be rescued - stick to your gut instincts and enjoy the ride 😀 I feel as though this is my Leicester 14/15 moment. Next year is mine for the taking 😉

Thanks Kurt, DGW34 saved my skin as expected. Could have done better though if I hadn't been so stubborn. I never owned Ozil and didn't get a single Vardy goal. Live and learn and onwards to next season, keep going Mr Leicester 😉

Was pretty much sold on Milner to Mane with my FT but got sold on the group think and went Tadic. Went against the hit to get Payet out in the hope he, Iwobi or Defoe would play. But I would have probably got KDB in due to the cash I had available instead of Mane. So I probably dodged a bullet there as I am currently leading my ML based on season transfers (with Smalling possibly to play). Probably better if Smalljng doesn't play as it removes the chance of a red card!

It was the guy in a fairly distant 3rd who transferred in Mane on a hit and then triple captained him who ended up running me close.

Unfortunately the bad GW38 meant I couldn't duplicate last season's top 10k finish.

What are the rules with an EPL postponed game - since teamsheets were put in yesterday?

Does it start again totally or do teams have to remain mostly as selected (barring illness/injury)?

I assume they can change the lineups. Often games are rescheduled months later so such a rule would be impossible

My understanding is that they can name whatever team they like for the re-scheduled match

Not clutching - was more interested in the techicality. In reality for me it would be better for no Smalling as a red card would be the only way to lose my ML.
