Fantasy Football Scout memberships for 2016/17 are now available for the pre-season price of just £12.50 and, as a bonus, they come packaged with additional Euro 16 statistics.

Last season’s memberships expired on Wednesday June 1 but you can now renew to get access to the members area.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to register an account, can sign up via this link.

Payments can be made through Paypal or via Stripe using debit or credit cards.

While our Members league couldn’t quite claim a third consecutive FPL champion, we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of this season’s Members League – finish third in the overall rankings. Ed recently cited the Members area as a factor in his superb season and we hope we can help him and other Fantasy managers to successful campaigns in 2016/17.

As an added and timely bonus this season, we’re delighted to announce that, as of today, our members will have access to a wealth of statistics to help steer their Euro 16 Fantasy selections as part of the membership package.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, which begins on June 10, but also from the Qualifying Rounds and also more than 12 months of international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the recent friendly matches and all those played right up to the tournament kick-off.

As far as we know, this data cannot be found collated in this form anywhere else on the net, giving our members a potential advantage when it comes to their Euro 16 Fantasy selections.

Members can switch between competitions to mine the data using an array of tables which break down a huge variety of statistics by position. Our comparison tools for players and teams can also be used to make head-to-head comparisons – a vital tool when it comes to decision making.

Filters can be applied to take into account only the last two, four and six matches played by a team or player and the match dashboard offers individual analysis of each match, together with charts which plot average positions of players and match events like shots on goal and chances created.

Members can also get started creating their own custom tables based on the data and sharing them for public use via comments on the site.

We will be producing a preview movie highlighting what is available very soon.

We’ve still a few rough edges to iron out with some presentation elements – namely missing squad numbers and profile pics – but we wanted to get this out to you now in order to give you as much time as possible to utilise the data and use it to shape your Euro 16 Fantasy thinking.

Just to stress, this Euro 16 offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership. If you sign up today you will get access to the Euro 16 statistics and all the usual Premier League statistics and tools for the 2016/17 campaign once that gets underway.

This starts with access to our members season ticker tool on or around June 15 with the announcement of the Premier League fixtures, with our Rate My Team tool and Player Projections to follow once the Fantasy Premier League player list is confirmed.

Membership will increase to £15.00 on conclusion of the first weekend of the Premier League season.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members area is also available here.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the FFS team and develop further.

In the last few months we were able to roll out a new look for the site and, once we’ve completed the improvements to the Members Area Euro data, we will be going live with a number of changes to the redesign. This includes re-establishing a full desktop view for mobile and tablet users and improving access for users on those platforms – as well as a number of tweaks to the desktop version following your recent feedback.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Haven't seen any after match interview, but I'd bet Hodgson mostly sees positives in this. A match in which his team had only 3 shots before 61st minute despite having played on man advantage from 35th minute.

I switched off straight after but I very much agree with you. This game illustrated yet again everything that is wrong with Premier League football in relation to producing a national team. Roy will inevitably see things differently but in the tournament itself England will be embarrassed again.

          • 12 Years

It would have been good for England to lose this match. A wake up call. Winning it will have been detrimental to your Euro.

When you look at the initial lineup, it is embarrassing. 3 midfielders with little creativity (one is basically a CB, one is a bad passer and one is the boring boring James Milner) with 3 out and out strikers - ok, Shrek drops to midfield, but both Vardy and Kane are pretty pure strikers, and the point is that if your team's creativity relies solely on the shoulders of Rooney, then good luck with that, you're going to need it. It's just stupid, a really bad team, but since you won, 1-0 against a Portugal team without their two leaders and reduced to 10 men after half an hour (until when they dominated), Roy probably thinks this works fine and goes on with it.

Yes this is all true. Additionally the press whip up a ridiculously over optimist level of hysteria , making England out to be likely winners. I seriously believe that some of the players begin to adopt the same opinion without realising how average they really are. This team is well short and this situation will not change unless more English kids get into Prem sides at 18 or 19. Sky's money will ensure that this doesn't happen.

So, basically, yeah, just saying that I agree with you. And also in that you were never going to have great chances anyway, but I think you may end up doing really really badly because Roy doesn't realise how bad his chances are. Russians at least have the advantage of having lost the friendly against Czechs. They may react to that and change something for better.

Any correlation between performances in friendlies and major tournaments?

They continued to be shaky until Mustafi's injury forced Lahm to drop back to RB position for the QF's, and even then the win was very narrow, in a match that could have gone either way.

Because the 7-1 thrashing of Brazil, people have forgotten how little dominant Germans were before that. Just like the 3 consecutive titles make people forget how lucky Spain were to advance to the final in 2010.

Doesn't matter. They won the World Cup, a month or so after loads were writing them off after a friendly performance, is my point.

You were one of them iirc. 😀

Friendlies mean naff all, especially when a team goes an hour with 10 men.

I don't know what is iirc, but your "they won it so they were always going to win it" is just as stupid as "they lost a friendly so they're not going to win the tournament". And I was never on either boat. Because what actually happened in the tournament matters a lot. In fact, for the analysis, it means everything.

I recall it perfectly that before the tournament started Germany were my second favourites (after the home team Brazil), for obvious reasons (in at least semis in last three big tournaments, team so well grown together that they were training all kinds of little tactical tricks, e.g. the ridiculous free kicks, when other teams' players were still learning to find each other on the pitch, and the greatest player resources on planet). However, unlike you, I was one of those who noticed the clear flaws in that team in the group stage, which were accidentally corrected by Mustafa's injury, as Lahm, who up until then was one of the the worst DM's of the tournament got back to be the best RB in it. And I was dead right about that. Of course.

I correct myself on one thing. Germany were not my outright 2nd favourite, but the only European team I saw capable of challenging for the title (France possible long shot surpriser, and Belgium to watch but they disappointed). Basically, I saw it very unlikely that Europeans would win at Brazil because of the weather conditions, so my general favourite was a South American team, and I recall backing up a surpriser such as Chile, who looked really good (I still think they did). But, that had nothing to do with some friendly match you seem to have watched much keener than I (can't recall at all), and I just checked, I had a bet on Müller finishing the top scorer. Too bad I missed that one so narrowly. Was close.
