We conclude Sunday’s events with a floodlit clash between Germany and Ukraine in Group C.

Germany will undoubtedly be considered favourites to begin their campaign with a victory. However, question mark remains over Joachim Löw’s side in a number of positions and their form on arrival in France is far from convincing. Defeats to England and Slovakia in pre-tournament friendlies has raised doubts in the German camp.

Their opponents will head into the contest with some confidence. Ukraine have won nine of their last 13 outings, with victories in their last four. A 1-0 reverse at the hands of Spain has been their only setback in this impressive spell.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Hi guys,

      Maybe a stupid question but I'm used to the PFL rules, can I change my captain even if he already played? I picked Giroud as my C and gave me 10 points in total but I think KDB which I will swap for Alli will do better. Can I do so, changing my C? I know I will lose his C points.

            He could. Italy's D isn't what it used to be and Giroud picked up a yellow. 1 goal isn't good enough, so yeah.

        Not a stupid q--some of it could be explained better. I was able to change C-Mueller> CR, but not get Dier in from bench. I've always thought FPL site was rather well run, now I've scene a poor one. IMO GL

      Anyone watching Brazil vs Peru? Some really controversial stuff here. Peru scored with a handball, the refs argued about it for 3 minutes, and then allowed the goal. At the moment, Brazil are about to be Maradonaed out of the tournament. 🙂

          Can't use technology. I think that was the controversy. The refs saw the handball on the stadium screens but couldn't recall their original call. Kinda like the Tevez goal vs Mexico in 2010. Unfair on Brazil, but to be fair they got lucky when Ecuador had a perfectly legal goal ruled out against them which would've caused them to lose 1-0. In the end it kinda balances out in a twisted way. 😉

        Definitely gamble away those two points. If you have players on bench, you get them in for the 2p-ers.

        I would probably go Fabregas over Ramos. But I find it quite hard to chose between KDB and Fab.
