Dugout Discussion – Germany vs Ukraine

We conclude Sundayโ€™s events with a floodlit clash between Germany and Ukraine in Group C.

Germany will undoubtedly be considered favourites to begin their campaign with a victory. However, question mark remains over Joachim Lรถwโ€™s side in a number of positions and their form on arrival in France is far from convincing. Defeats to England and Slovakia in pre-tournament friendlies has raised doubts in the German camp.

Their opponents will head into the contest with some confidence. Ukraine have won nine of their last 13 outings, with victories in their last four. A 1-0 reverse at the hands of Spain has been their only setback in this impressive spell.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Subbing on Alba, Alaba and Nolito for Matuidi, Alli and Muller though so I guess I'm on 56 with Alba, Alaba, Nolito and Ramos to go.

      55 -6 subed out 3 2 pointers. Alba . Giacherrini. Candreva. Morata left plus 3 point gk to come out for Patricio on Tuesday. Won't really know what's what until the dust settles on the first round of games.
      Although judging by my works ml. Most haven't even read the rules

      Score checks are kind of pointless in this game imo . I am on 47 with Patricio , Dragovic , Junuzovic , Alba and Noltio to go . I might do Peresic > Guerriro I am 50/50 on that so I am potentially on 44 .

                both teams are clearly better offensively than defensively, so it could theoretically be the opposite of tight in terms of attacking points. i wouldn't be that surprised if a confident polish team conceded more goals to the germans than NI's bus-parking approach.

            Question about subs on this sketchy website before I screw something up: I want to put KDB and take Muller out, and I also have Nolito to play tomorrow. Should I just sub Nolito out right now (and put KDB), and then after seeing the Spain lineup tomorrow, sub him in if he's in it and take Muller out?

            Because otherwise Muller will get locked on the bench right? Or will Nolito also get locked before playing?

              i'm probably being thick here, but can you not just wait to see if nolito starts and then if he doesn't you do nothing, if he does you sub KDB in for muller? how would that be any different from what you're suggesting?
