Dugout Discussion – Turkey vs Croatia

Sunday’s matches begin with the opening Group D fixture, as Turkey take on Croatia in what, on paper, looks a well-matched encounter.

Despite failing to impress in qualifying, Turkey head into the tournament in fine fettle, winning four of their last five friendly encounters – the recent defeat to England the only blot on their copybook. Indeed, Fatih Terim’s unit are also undefeated in eight competitive matches.

Croatia will be favourites for this afternoon’s clash, however. Ante Cacic’s men are bristling with proven talent and have won six of their last seven outings, including the recent 10-0 drubbing of San Marino just over a week ago.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm sending my bench of Ronaldo , alaba , Giaccherini , Patricio to start warming up

Careful! They could get injured in the warmup. 😉

Ronaldo is unhappy with his status in the team, coming off the bench

If my captain fails today then it's Juanfran tomorrow and then Guerriero next day.... F***

In hindsight should have perhaps have had a more even spread of players but much preferred the earlier group of players 🙁 I literally had 4 decent captain choices today...

Plus I didnt want to change my squad on the basis of a picking a player just because he plays on last gameday.

1 transfer per gameweek seems a little light...

I know we get substitutions etc but due to budget constraints it may simply be not possible to do a transfer we want .

Perisic hit the bar, Srna hit the bar. Hamsik yesterday had a great chance to score. Where's the luck at?

Then there is also that chance where Srna missed the goal from 5 meters, assisted by Perisic. And the 5 other wasted chances assisted Perisic. Should have been the highest scoring player so far, unfortunately!

This is where fantasy vs real life comes into play. I want to see a good game, but I also would like to see Lewandowski blank vs a bus for fantasy reasons.
