Monday’s final Euro 2016 tie sees Fifa’s second highest ranked side Belgium square up to 2012 Euros finalist Italy.

Both sides come into the match in confident mood having topped their qualifying groups and ending their pre-tournament friendly preparations unbeaten. While Belgium defeated Norway 3-2 and drew 1-1 with Finland, Italy recorded wins against Scotland and Finland.

Marc Wilmots’ team are set to rely heavily on Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who created more chances than any other player during qualification. Along with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard he was also the Red Devils’ top scorer in qualifying with five goals.

Antonio Conte’s Italy were one of only four sides, alongside England, Austria and Romania, to be undefeated in qualifying. They did this despite not having a regular goal scorer, with Southampton striker Graziano Pelle the Azzuri’s top scorer in qualifying with just three goals.

Watch the Italian back five when Belgium have possession...it's like synchronised football...

It makes me want to load up Football Manager and try to implement it. That 532 is solid defensively...

That Italian team are a cynical lot

Conti will be well suited at Chelsea

You could argue two yellows for that one play, the tackle and the delay of game.

Give him a red. Hate the clichéd "taking one for the team".

Candreva is such a pleasure to watch. Great body feign that makes Vertonghen forget to take the ball.

    Been impressed with Ciman

Lot of high expectation coming in as an MLS player into such an important game.

I think he handled himself well and gave a good account of himself.

To think City fans consider Denayer the next Kompany...he can't even get in over a MLS defender. 🙁

It's possible Denayer still becomes a good player like Nastasic/ Rekik/ Savic have once they left the club

Think Wilmots trusts Ciman more at RB with his experience, rather than Denayer

KDB wasn't worth his tag playing Italy, but it was just a hope to stick him now and maybe he gets something. Main benefit was to avoid a transfer and not waste 4 points. The benefit of KDB will come in the next 2. Muller is a bit of a worry though.

Just realised that Giaccherini is classed as a defender (had forgotten) and Bonucci assisted.

    Blooming defenders!

Had him and Schar in my draft and decided the more expensive Rodriguez and the fixture-friendly Rami would be better.....

I'm not doing bad (65 pts) but I'm still being beat by some girl in my private league who has: Rashford, Podolski, Milner, .... Bonucci, Pique, Modrić, Neuer(c)

Giaccherini has to be in my team with Ireland and Sweden next

Ideally a draw here would mean they won't field a weak team against Sweden
