Having kick-started our series of members articles focusing on each individual team over the 2015/16 season with a look at Arsenal, we now turn our attentions to Bournemouth.

First up we assess their team data, comparing the Cherries to the rest of the top-flight last term, before switching our targets to their first-team squad and assessing the main goal threats and creators over the campaign gone by, in a bid to get a view on their prospects for 2016/17.

I quite like Conte Can Karius as a team name but it makes it sound like I support Chelsea.

I hope these performances in the Euros give big clubs a false notice about Ramsey, and we can make £40m of him somehow.

Why wouldn't you want to keep Ramsey, good player

      1. Saniul

But billed better than he is, all the time. For someone who plays in the double pivot, he is too weak defensively.

Agree on his defensive naivety, that's why he should play there only when the more-defensive partner is present. i.e. one of Elneny, Coq or Xhaka. His role is a bit of neither here nor there but useful to keep in the squad. Has a bit of everything and a great engine.

The thing is he does so well for Wales is because he has TWO defensive guys in the midfield beside him. When he plays for Arsenal, the only way he can really do well, is maybe a trifecta of Coquelin, Xhaka and Ramsey - but that would mean moving the league's best #10 to the wing - worth it?

I would cos Ozil will be better than anyone else Arsenal put on the wing.

Ozil was gobshit in the season he played in the wing. And what would be the reasoning behind dropping either of Sanchez or Iwobi, again?

                  • 11 Years

Ozil had 5 goals and 10 assists in 2100 minutes in his 'gobshit season he played in the wing'

                  lol

But that argument also has its problems, Ozil should play where he wants and is comfortable. And the position he can do the most damage is as a #10. He drifts out wide to help anyways.

OK fine. I want to review my original statement.

*Play a 'fluid' attacking 3 including Sanchez , Ozil and Ramsey. Positions don't matter , roles do. 🙂

Wenger has tried that in the past. And failed. Sounds good in theory, but at times, all of them move centrally, and we are extremely suspect to counters from the wide areas.

When has it failed? At the beginning of the season , when Arsenal were at their best (including the 3-0 win over United) , Arsenal front 6 was -

                      Coq - Caz
                      Ramsey-Ozil-Sanchez
                      Walcott

                      Or am I wrong?

With the current players when all fit, Ramsey should only be a squad player. But with the number of injuries we always seem to have, he will play a lot of minutes even not being a first-choice. If Walcott/Ox/Iwoby were a bit better and consistent, then I would agree on selling immediately. But as it stands, I would prefer keeping him, even if just for the squad at the moment. Although he'll play inevitably.

If Arsenal keep on selling their good players (even if they get more money than they should) , they will never be called a world class top club.

For example Real Madrid will not sell Bale even if they get 150 million , Barca wont sell Neymar even if they get 175 million etc...

In fact Madrid wont even sell Ramos , Pepe , Marcelo and Barca wont sell Alba , Pique even if they get a big offer.

The first Friday night Premier League kick off of 2016/17 has been revealed when Man U take on Southampton in Gameweek 2.

    https://twitter.com/premierleague/status/750963837956861952

How do you think Friday night kick offs with affect Fantasy managers?

And will you dare captain a Friday night player?

Primarily a DM who can also play CB or full-back. DM is where he's probably expected to end up.

Axel Tuanzebe is a CB though. Will be promoted next season, already in the squad for the upcoming game against Wigan and seems to be being fast tracked under the advice of Nicky Butt. He's arguably the best youth talent at the club and was closest to breaking through early last season before injury.

Both their RBs and both their LBs are 30+. Kompany is always injured, and I'm going to not say anything about Mangala and Demichelis.

United won't win, and Leicester won't be in the top 8. Can't say anything about the other teams...

Maximum price you will pay to have Mkhitaryan in your squad? 10? 9.5?

£10m could be worth it. He is one of those players whose attacking returns are more than his calibre as a player.
