We continue our series of membersโ€™ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, with a look at Southampton.

To get underway, we assess the Saintsโ€™ team statistics in Ronald Koemanโ€™s final year in charge and compare them to the rest of Premier League, before analysing their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources in an attempt to gain insight on their prospects for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints finished in sixth position after embarking on a superb run of form that harvested seven wins and a draw in the final nine league fixtures.

Guardiola always relied on a player that can score consistently, Messi at Barcelona and Lewandowski at Bayern. So we can see that Aguero is a must have whenever is fit.

The question now is whether KDB is as important as having KUN, noting the two previous experiences of Guardiola with Barca and Bayern.

Mkhi and Martial are interchangable imo, assuming both start it is hard to pick between them.

Want Hazard but De Bruyne at home to Sunderland is too good to pass up.

Like Eriksen but can see Spurs having a slow start, really like Firmino as well and can't afford to have both.

Townsend I like but cant't afford over Bolasie.

Fletecher and Leko effectively the same as bench fodder.

          Very similar teams indeed :).

      De Gea -Jakupovic
      Baines-Shaw-Friend-Parades-McAuley
      Hazard-Bolasie-KDB-Fletcher-Firminio
      Long-Aguero-Gray

I've used 4.5 rotation keepers for the last 2 seasons and have always ended up picking the wrong one so I want to do away with the headache this time. Doubled up on United defence because the seem solid at the back and I see the raking up cleanies under Mourinho. Baines seems like a bargain at 5.5 and my back 5 rotates well for a decent price, hence McAuley (Pulis defence), Parades (cheapie who can play) and Friend who can pick up a few offensive points as well at 4.5. I have overlooked Chelsea and Spurs defence because I could only afford 2 good defenders and doubling up on United+Baines feels like it would be profitable.
Hazard and KDB pick themselves. Yes, having them together eats up a huge chunk of my budget but I feel their consistency can make up for that. I'm hoping for a successful season for Hazard as he looked to be getting back to the beast he once was in the euros and towards the end of last season. I like to keep a 4.5 midfielder who can get me 2 points when others don't play. Firminio looks to be the most obvious route for Liverpool goals and a fit Sturridge can only help. His fixtures are difficult but that seemed to actually improve his performance last season. Bolasie looks like a solid choice in the 6m bracket - feel free to recommend others (thoughts on Redmond and Townsend?). Aguero is Aguero and I've noticed that flipping around bargain strikers can actually get you 15+ goals which is the same as a Lukaku or Costa. Gray seems to be the best bargain striker followed by Long.
Notable omissions: Zlatan and Mkhi, I prefer to pick players after I've seen them play. I'm sceptical of the United attack as of now and I don't mind taking a hit to get Zlatan in if he is firing. Arsenal: Sanchez wont start the season and they have difficult fixtures

Sorry for the long post but I prefer to have opinions on my thinking than a flat out RMT where you just tell me to pick who you people have taken.
THANKS IN ADVANCE, I'M DONE NOW!!
